Since 99% of professional quality acoustic guitars use spruce (of some kind) for the soundboard, the differences in tone are attributable almost entirely to the b/s. This video could be the best example out there. The difference between the rosewood and figured mahogany 000s is enormous. The mahogany version literally almost knocked me out of my chair, it is so powerful. Wow!
Hi, thanks for this demo - some time ago, but I like your videos and always like the sound of a Collings played well. I need some help here. I have a 0002h, and like the (original) Martin 000 design, it has a standard 25.4/25.5" scale. You mention that this 12 fret ooo has a short scale - so, was that a custom order by Artisan? If so ...I'd love to know why. The third -the 14 fret with a burst - even stranger - a 14 fret neck on a 12 fret design 12 fret body ??? Now I'm really confuselated. Were these two built to customer specs? Tone woods? Yes they make a difference but everything in a build has some sort of effect, so I like my roses and my hogs equally (but roses are prettier!), and yes, I'm a 12 fret slot-head freak. Great that Collings continue to offer Martin design 12 fret models whilst Martin have discontinued them. I hope your cold or whatever resolved quickly!
Sweet guitars, well played and recorded brilliantly - and I love the comic content; Jesse's great, always puts a smile on my face.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Dam Like them all! But the 0001 Custom is the heartbreaker😍

Thank you for the kind words, Dan! Glad you enjoyed it!

Really enjoy your videos. Entertaining and informative. 0002h my favorite. What mics are you using?

There are all great back I prefer the 0001
Burst top, triple ought...what?
I miss Jesse :(
Your store has a wonderful inventory. It would be better if you gave more specifics about the models and reduce the comic content.
