Make More Tips! This course shows you how: servetips.com/waiting-tables-video-masterclass/
Should change the title to “how to deal with anxiety as a new server”
Should stop telling others how to title their own videos
"There are very subtle meanings in the way we say things and in the words we choose" absolutely
Glad that you're going to change your ways finally
You should shut those drapes behind you and put in some soft backlighting. It would appear more professional. I would fire the truegritproduction team for making you look so generic. Hire a real company to set up your stage and then you will make some real money. I was checking out your other videos and honestly. I think you could have kept up the training and made a real go of it if you had the proper training and skillset & if you were able to get a good videographer. It takes guts to start your own company and stick with it. I have been working for myself for the last 12 years, recently sold one of my companies and paid off my house. I still work parttime as a server to pay my general bills but I have zero debt now. Everything else goes in the bank. You do have drive and that is something that is not taught, you either have it or you don't. You will make it, work hard, be diligent and take the high road even if its, not the popular thing to do.
Good video, made me feel much less nervous as i am 3 days into my first serving job, thank you!
this is sooo good ahaha i've just watched one of your previous videos, and i read a comment saying "you should shave hour head, you'd look great with a shaved head" and HERE YOU ARE, WITH A SHAVED HEAD + THE BEARD AS A BONUS ahaha ! looking great mate !
édit : also great tips, starting waitering tomorow, and been watching most of your vids!
How u been doing so far ? Any tips for starters ?
I just saw the same thing! 😂😂😂
Lol same
Omg sameee!!
I just watched a video from you in 2013 before this and my jaw literally dropped. What a transformation. You look so attractive now. Good job!
Think I found my husband , great video! Super straight forward thanks 🙏🏽
U look great with the shaved head! (Here from previous vid)
Thanks Rachel. I wish I had a choice in the matter :)
Very helpful video my friend. I'm about to start my 1st server job & this is very helpful.
R R I’m starting my job tomorrow very helpful especially since I’m more of the shy introvert
"Words are a very subtle art." Beautifully spoken. Something in your birth chat must reside in Gemini.
I reckon everything except that astronomy part, missy.
when you said Mother fer..I cracked up 😂 this video helped me and I love ur videos thank you!
I appreciate your videos! Thank you!
I appreciate your love of firearms.
Very helpful video!!! Thx

Great videos man

‘Answer me back mfer’ lmaoooooo
There's the right way, the wrong way, and then there's my way.
"Answer me motherfucker" jajahahahaah.
Thank you for your vid! I have my first shift tonight and I'm nervous!
This is a much better video than the other one I saw when you were in a chair with a dirty fish tank.
Algae produces oxygen, dirt does not. Check your definition of "dirty" next time you visit a pond out in nature.
@@TrueGritProductions yep your right I apologize for making the assumption that it was dirty.
Waiting tables is cake once you get used to it. And people are really nice... can be a pain in the ass.. but generally people get that you’re there to serve them. As long as you remember that you are there to serve THEM it’s all good. I like the get this party started line.. I’m sure that did loosen things up. People appreciate a sense of humor about the whole thing. Where can I find the course?
Nevermind I just found the link
Thanks for watching and your support servetips.com/waiting-tables-video-masterclass/
Wait so how did you say get the party started ?
6:40 LOL well.. it seems that happened to me few times haha
Jagaimo16 I died when he said that #beenthere
@@ThienPham-eq5sc wahaha!
This is so complex lol I just say hey guys my name is blank can I get you started on drinks ? And then be yourself and keep checking on them !! But Thankyou for the video!
Some customers youll vibe with so easily and others are trickier just read the table and go off of that
A novice approach is not for the big leagues
🤣
It has been helpful bro thank u
How are you we guys doing tonight?
Thien Pham horrible
"Even if they are douche bags." LOL
Bud as fucked up as a world it is, i dont know where you live but its not legal here to ask if a dog is a service dog. Dont do that. Otherwise, pretty good tips.
you're an idiot
TrueGritProductions what’s up with you being so aggressive in the comments yet you seem so non aggressive in this video?
So, my greetings usually go like "Hey Guy's, welcome!!" ...along with starting to get their drink orders... Even on a table of ladies. In my mind, I'm like, don't say that.. How horrible is that ?? Any suggestions on just greetings the table.
Maybe try "Hey ladies, how we/you all doing this evening/day/afternoon/morning" but don't pause to get an answer because putting people on the spot is rude. Just say it with genuine good vibes and light amounts of caring and move into the drink order/spiel... servetips.com for a complete system on making more tips
I say, “Hello, how are WE doing this fine evening? Are you thirsty? Can I get you started with some adult beverages?”
I don’t feel I’m putting anyone on the spot with this greeting because instead of waiting for a response, I jump right into appealing to their insatiable thirst for wine and craft cocktails. Most people come to my establishment to drink, so they usually respond vigorously with a “Yes, how did you know?” For some reason people dig the “adult beverage” line. I work in a wine/small plate establishment, so it works well.
I work at Medieval Times as a bartender. So the greeting is "hello my Lord or my lady" lol. Very interesting place to work.
Do you ever lie to your customer's?
usually no, depends though
Yeah when it's slammed lol
Never! Guests appreciate honesty more than anything. If your chef is off his game and you’ve already had to send back 3 orders of the same dish and the guest tries to order said dish, you are doing them and yourself a favor by expressing truth in telling them that dish is not their best choice. I always give the guest my brutally honest opinion when they ask for it. They wouldn’t be asking you if they didn’t want the truth, the guest always thanks me profusely for being honest. You are also minimizing the chance you will have to comp an item should the guest not like it.
No NEVER! THAT'S THE WORST THING TO DO TO YOUR GUEST ...they appreciate the TRUTH even if it's not what they would like to hear
bro i watched a few of your vids from 2013 and i was like "oh ok the image of the quality is not that good, but its 2013 so its ok". but this video is from 2017 lmao, get a new cam lool great transformation tho you look good
bro? you must be confused
@@TrueGritProductions he's available right. If you haven't upgraded a better camera/microphone would increase the quality immensely.
People who make no content telling another person how to make content lmao
good info he just repeats himself too much over how to great a table. could have been a 3 mins video lol. Really good info tho
^^^Don't listen to losers like this, they are the nobodies I left behind at the restaurant, they know everything and yet they are not self employed typing this from Japan. No, that's me.
?
^^^Exactly
@@TrueGritProductions it's called constructive criticism!! Dont be so defensive... I complimented you!
The guy that made the video messaged me himself and he is douche bag so do not listen to what he has to say. A little to sensitive when I said his video was too long. WOW what an asshole
I dont say you all. I say yall. I live in south Mississippi. It's pretty common here. Lol
So what I'm hearing is that you don't know the answer to the question. Just to admit that you don't know will make you feel better about trying to give other people advice and maybe it's not for you. Just be honest with yourself.
You don't get 20k subs by saying nothing like you just did
You look like the travel vlogger bald and bankrupt
@@TrueGritProductions did you just call me a tranny? Wow, that's a first. That was uncalled for I am not a dude. Thanks.
@@TrueGritProductions I wasn't even insulting you. I like that vlogger. I never said he was bad looking.
Get to the point
Fuck you lauren
