This was such a fun episode. Communication is key in any type of relationship! As Scott mentioned, too many people are too rigid in their ways, they may need to be a bit more flexible and it goes both ways.

Really enjoyed the show. My take/experiences dating in my 50s are similar to what Scott expressed. One question I was interested in is dating within the social circles. I pretty much avoid dating within Meetup groups (assuming y'all know what that is) to avoid the potential ensuing awkwardness. TV circles seem similar to Meetup groups to me. Seemed like Scott has no issues with it. I'd be interested in Tina's take (or anyone else for that matter). Thanks. Keep up the interesting content!
Hey Tom. It’s interesting that you ask :). I actually had a situation exactly like you are referring to. I had a potential date with a guy who had dated someone in my circle of friends. He was upfront and honest and I was impressed he gave me the heads up so I wouldn’t be blindsided if we ran into each other. I asked about how the breakup was, how long they dated and how long ago they went out and I decided I was ok with us going out. He was giving me the option to say no if I was uncomfortable with it… He also went back to the other person to let her know we were going on a date. The other woman and I actually started to have a conversation one night out on how should we ALL handle something like this since we are bound to have it happen with the dating pool we are in. The Villages may be large, but it’s really still small… we never finished the conversation so it’s something to continue but I feel if you are as transparent as possible (and I say as possible) that it can work… we just all want to try and be as respectful as possible with each because we will be seeing each other at various functions… what are your thoughts?

It doesn't work out, you amicably move on as friends. The concern is if for whatever reason it ends ugly. I guess that is why it is important to try to end things in a positive manner.

Is there any kind of socials for singles? Like bingo or pickles all or something? I think you have to be happy within yourself before you are ready to be in a new relationship. It's more the personality for me than looks, but agree there has to be some appeal.
This is the villages. There is a club for EVERYTHING. If you don’t find what you’re looking for you can make the club up! But there are a lot of singles groups and Facebook groups.
Scott is correct. There are singles clubs here and also clubs for almost every interest…

There is an 8020 roll only 80% have to be 55 and over. Plus he mentioned on a previous episode that he’s living in his mother’s home.

Since The Villages is a 55+ community I would assume any single ladies under 55 are living with their parents 😬 but yes, you’re right. I’m sure many employees throughout the various businesses in the villages have under 55 single ladies…

I guess those under 55 single ladies in TV are in the Bermuda Triangle of The Villages, we are still searching unless they formed their own secret society … 😝.
