@@Nr15121 I think it's more the similarities between modern torpedoes and missiles. So both fights end up being this cat and mouse fight of launching the weapons and maneuvering and launching countermeasures to avoid their weapons in return.

If you do end up using the hornet for some carrier ops, you should do it at night! Maybe some top gun 2 inspired canyon navigation? I think that would look great cinematically speaking, also the night time carrier landing (assuming you survive) would be spicy…

Did I see you employing skidding in that last attempt at defending? Using opposite rudder from roll to cause the aircraft to skid in a less predictable manner than if you had used coordinated roll and rudder?
VERY cool to fly around Abu Dhabi/Dubai - I spent most of the 1990s in the area - though at Seahawk altitudes . SO much more built up than back in the old days. Excellent video.
I know how many people love the Hornet for all it's complexity, twin engines, high alpha capability and so on. And I used to really prefer the (legacy) Hornet over the F-16 when I was a kid (back in the 80's where the F-14 ruled supreme). The older I get, the more I love the Viper over anything else. It's not rational, so don't attempt to argue with me 😂 By the way, keep up those hard cuts! Love 'em.

Perhaps one of the most useful elements is your consistent referals to the MFDs, switches, dials and knobs and their functionality. Serves as a useful reminder as to why such elements are so useful.

Tactically what are your thoughts on two things? 1. Use buildings to break track then push into merge. 2. He doesn’t know your down an AMRAAM. Push to the MAR then defend to force him to commit his last FOX3. Then your in same weapons state and can get a “fair” fight.
Something I've noticed, but only registered just now: When GS is KIA, the talking stops. Always. It's a sim, he could keep chattering away. But he doesn't. He respects the kill.

It's curious to me how similar BVR fights are to Sub fights are in Cold Waters. Just a massive difference in speed really.

both torpedos and fox3 missiles are about 2x faster than their launch platform, both are best won with stealth so no enemy projectiles to worry about
