Hahaha you got it this time. Can't believe you wrote it down. You're the best lol. Does rain affect dry food, possibly. The nutrition scroll says they'll stay dry unless exposed to water so maybe rain counts, no idea. You can store them in crates once they dry, though.
Hooray! You have no idea how worried I was lol but I was going to keep trying until I nailed it. I don't want to spoil too much about the next episode, but this could very well be a problem for me due to my... storage choices... it'll all make sense soon!
I like the new music track! I think more than the other one, so good choice. I think it was a good idea to go back and edit the thumbnails on the earlier episodes too, it makes it look more uniformed. 😂 bro, imagine the dev adds in hypothermia for those times you fall into the ocean. I live in California, and I hate the cold, so I can't even fathom how cold the sea is up in Scotland! The bit where you sleep and go so off course was interesting. Does it make more sense to overcorrect before going to sleep? Or to have to do it after? If you're sleeping anyway does it make much difference? I guess you don't fill the entire sleep bar with one nap anyway. Your in-game character has a much better sleep schedule than me, I wish I got to take that many naps!! Very jealous lol What are the tools you mentioned? The sun one makes sense, I can assume what that is, but what are the others? What do they do? It was great to see the dhow in the sunlight! I loved the zoomed out shot of it in the sunrise's light like that 💜 I agree with you about not having the sails clip into each other. Especially when it's a lower pressure, I do tend to focus on making things in my games pretty. Hahaha. If the developer adds in more animal life, and the seagulls follow ships around, I'd love to see them snatch up the bread or really ANY food that would be left out to dry. That would be hilarious! I like how you chop it once and it explodes lol. This game is pretty cool. Do you think one day you'll do a "celestial navigation only" challenge one day? Does Bonnie accept kissies? Give her a little smooch for me if so 🥰 So funny to buy Snake Oil lol. No matter what, the name always makes me think it's an item that doesn't do anything, even if a game gives it a use. Did you ever check out The Isle? 🦖
I thought you would appreciate the change of tunes! And appreciate the feedback on the thumbnails, I like to think I'm polishing the channel up a wee bit. I jumped in the sea here during my last winter sail - I think I lasted 40 seconds... I think overcorrecting is a good thing to do especially if a pattern emerges - spoiler alert, it seems there's a pattern as you will see in the next ep, although I think it's mostly down to me just understanding the sails better. And I'm the same as you haha, although my diet is a little bit better in real life! I will go over the tools in the next ep - and how they're used ;) Another spoiler - I *MAY* have gone a bit overboard (excuse the pun) with the bread... so they better keep their beaks away from my slices! I plan on using this sail to get better with celestial navigation in the game, there's great info on 3 stars (and times to look at them) on the Sailwind wiki, which I will be making full use of soon! She cartainly does, I will send her your love 😸 I did indeed, and subbed to a couple of great channels playing The Isle, I'll have to give it a go soon - currently balancing Sailwind (ofc), Transport Fever 2, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Manor Lords, and of course a full time job! No wonder my sleeping pattern is rough... Thanks again for tuning in :)
@@Shipwreck_Sean if you do jump into The Isle, I can team up with you if you want :> it's pretty much gang warfare, so being solo is a quick way to become lunch lol ManorLords! Kingdom Come Deliverance! I'd be down to see you play either. I don't know much about the Transport game though. Would you ever add them to the channel?
@@tarryncooper4742 I think that would be the best way to learn, I like how the game seems to have no real tutorial, and dying matters! Feel fee to send an email across (emal in desc) and I'll send you and Discord invite. I really hope I can add other games to my channel in the future, as I've been enjoying this so far! First I'd like to see how far I can get with Sailwind, though, as doing this has really encouraged me to learn the game and try new things :)
Hey man, if I could give you a tip on one thing I observed at around 26:16 , when you use the windward halyard for the jib be careful not to let the sails go over past the mast because they become an aerodynamic brake basically, because the angle of attack of the sail in relation to the wind will become a type of speedbrake as in aircrafts... Not sure if I made myself clear but I´ll be happy to explain better if needed! by the way, very well made video man! see ya
This is very good to know! I think I am still thinking about the Lateen sail when close hauling, so I really appreciate you clearing that up dude! I think I understand what to do now - I have recorded the next two episodes, so I hope you don't get frustrated when you see I haven't put it into practice yet, but I'll give it a try for "Episode 14" and I'll be sure to let you know, and thank you!
