Interesting bit of trivia: The man playing Fasil is Peter Diamond, the stunt and fight coordinator for the classic Doctor Who series throughout most of the 60s.
I've seen this movie several dozen times and the sword fight wasn't that quick. If Fasil was that easy to kill, he wouldn't have lived as long as me let alone a few hundred years.
I remember the fight being longer and chances are, this is edited but you know what? I think I prefer this. Yeah it's short but I feel it shows better how skilled Connor is instead of doing the flashy moves
I hate how in the director's cut Fasil keeps doing a bunch of back flips. Did anyone hear that Ryan Renolds is apparently going to play Connor in the remake?
The funny thing is that all those immortals are evil rebels and were allies in the past, it happens that some of them are the worst of mankind during the golden age "Kurgan".
In the original theater release in the US the series of part of the fight, chase sequence and backflips by Fasil were cut from the film. I've seen a director cut were there was more of it on Video tape and DVD. There were more scenes more cut from the film too. Kurgan fighting another immortal Mongolian warrior and a bar scene with Castagier and McCleod with the Policeman that was following McCleod.
I am going to take a quotation from the immortal Giovanni from "Highlander: The Source" (the worst sequel of the "Highlander" series) by saying: "That's blasphemy!!!"
@Bojack727 Yup, also worked on the fight scenes in The Empire Strikes Back, along with Bob Anderson. One of the greats of the stunt profession. Sadly died a few years ago.
Hahaha was his head still making noises and grunting and grimacing as his head rolled under cars and stuff?? Hahaha this is how it should have been in the, short and sweet! I love her edit!
thinks of lady gaga love game video & 50 cent popping them things video . when i see this . is that same garage in this video .Hollywood needs more movie locations.
HalfwayBeret Well, a lot of it was filmed in Scotland, plus a fair amount of exterior shots in New York and New Jersey. This scene is in England, as you say (Earl's Court). And a substantial portion of the interior shots (and some of the nondescript street stuff) is also in London.

He’s also the stunt coordinator for the Star Wars trilogy. He choreographed the New Hope lightsaber duels AND fell into the Sarlacc pit.
lol, even Connor looked confused he won so quick.
This scene is edited down to less than a minute from the film.
"You talk funny Nash, where`re from?".....
"Lots of different places"
Frenchman are funny
If no one is going to say it, I WILL: There can be only ONE!!!
One hand bag ?
LOL how Fasil even manage to survive until the gathering with his swordsmanship.
He hid a lot
I've seen this movie several dozen times and the sword fight wasn't that quick. If Fasil was that easy to kill, he wouldn't have lived as long as me let alone a few hundred years.
100 pct true . it was only down to Connor, Kurgan, Fasil, Kastagir.
@@llili408 It was actually down to Connor, Vasilek, Kastagir, Yung Dol Kim, Fasil and Kurgan.
LOL. "Flawless Victory"
Makes it funnier that he was Raiden
I remember the fight being longer and chances are, this is edited but you know what? I think I prefer this. Yeah it's short but I feel it shows better how skilled Connor is instead of doing the flashy moves
Fasil: "MacLown"
Connor turns around wearing a clown wig, nose and make-up.
Ha ha. "Mclown". Love it.
LOL
Ronald McDonald?
RIP Peter Diamond, sword master, teacher, warrior
Thank you for a couple of good laughs. Ouahh! Hahaha
+Johan Retsler HAHAHAHA OUUUAAAHHH
that was quick
I remember this fight being just a tad bit longer. :P
LMAO! talk about the short version
I hate how in the director's cut Fasil keeps doing a bunch of back flips. Did anyone hear that Ryan Renolds is apparently going to play Connor in the remake?
Um, is it just me or is there a problem with this vid? The visuals jump way ahead to the end of the fight--it clearly shouldn't be 51s long.
The funny thing is that all those immortals are evil rebels and were allies in the past, it happens that some of them are the worst of mankind during the golden age "Kurgan".
Brilliant strike and off comes the head!
I want a pair of Fasil's mirrored narc shades!
😂😂😂 Very good.
The editing makes it look as if Connor killed Fasil instantly.
That's fácil, not facil. There's a different stress in the words...
pog bong bong and head is gone xD
The backflips have always been in the film. (Although I heard the original North American theatrical release had some cuts in it.)
In the original theater release in the US the series of part of the fight, chase sequence and backflips by Fasil were cut from the film. I've seen a director cut were there was more of it on Video tape and DVD. There were more scenes more cut from the film too. I always wondered what's Fasil's back story?
Reminds me of the matrix. You don't know what's happening but damn if it's awesome.
@ 0:42....i feel like there's something missing.
I am going to take a quotation from the immortal Giovanni from "Highlander: The Source" (the worst sequel of the "Highlander" series) by saying: "That's blasphemy!!!"
He should have waited. The actor who played Fasil, appears in the Highlander tv series as a mortal
Interesting. Have always been in the European cuts of the film so far as I'm aware. Definitely in the UK VHS version I saw in early 1987.
This was like a deontay wilder fight I'm sure it was longer
it was. it was just edited short.
@Bojack727

Excellent
I don't care what anyon says this fight was better than the kurgan
in this fight
THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE..............MINUTE
Actually, not even that
THERE CAN BE ONLY ......50 seconds,
Well that was way to quick
Hahaha was his head still making noises and grunting and grimacing as his head rolled under cars and stuff?? Hahaha this is how it should have been in the, short and sweet! I love her edit!
Der Deutsche Bundestag hat einen gesonderten Petitionsausschuss. Wir sind das Volk! :-)
he was pretty easy...
they just shortened it.
Where is a good video of this fight? Do I really have to break out my old VHS tape of the theatrical cut to watch it?
Albeit distastefully dishonest...😕somewhat shockingly satisfying at the same time...😁😊
well that was cut short....just like Fasil
Fasil was a lowbie.
@MultiNomadman hhahahhaa who would know that!!!!!!!
This was was pretty terrible anyway... this guy did more cartwheels and flips then anything resembling sword fighting.
They should of made it better fight
thinks of lady gaga love game video & 50 cent popping them things video . when i see this . is that same garage in this video .Hollywood needs more movie locations.
This scene was filmed in England. Like most of the rest of the movie.
HalfwayBeret Well, a lot of it was filmed in Scotland, plus a fair amount of exterior shots in New York and New Jersey. This scene is in England, as you say (Earl's Court). And a substantial portion of the interior shots (and some of the nondescript street stuff) is also in London.
