    If anyone owns Nolly or Gojira it boils down to deciding if it’s worth the money for the transpose, room mic and doubler features. For me it isn’t. But for anyone who doesn’t own any NDSP plugins and have been sitting on the fence for a while, then this is the one to get imo.

      Add to that petrucci has piezzo amp that works amazing with neck single coil. Closest is Abasi's.
      Petrucci is the most complete as it takes the best of all its predecessors and adds more
      That's why it's the priciest one so far
      To me, I own Gojira, Abasi and Plini and I have doubler VST so I can pretty much do what Petrucci do with some chaining

    I honestly don't know if anything will be able to top this for a while, hopefully that means the team will be able to focus on updating the old plugins to the new engine, along with everything they've already been doing for the Quad Cortex
    Also, two questions
    1. When are we gonna get a guitar collection vid?
    2. Do you think someday you'll have one guitar for each Periphery signature pickup set? I see you already have both of Misha's and the Polymaths (which sound absolutely amazing)

    I bought it as the first Neural product I ever even tried. Holy shit! Seriously, for the price of a single pedal you get more tones than you can imagine and they are all absolutely pristine! This one plugin erases my need for Helix Native. I'm impressed, very impressed. Well done Neural.

      @majesticpbjcat7707 2 роки тому +1

      Neural plugins are geared to more metal styles, so of course you're gonna get brutal tones in minutes. Helix is a modeling system encompassing a lot more than just metal. So, it would stand to reason that it would take some time and know how to dial in what you need with the Helix products. If you know what you're doing, you can do everything with the Helix that the Neural stuff does. Yes, it'll take some tweaking, but you can still get there.

    • @nudsh
      @nudsh 2 роки тому +5

      @@majesticpbjcat7707 actually no, they aren't. Many of the Archetype models are jazz and blues players as well as hybrid players like Tim Henson. I've had Line 6, Fractal, and all the rest. I can compere them with a degree of first-hand knowledge.
      Line 6 has really decent effects, ok amp models, not much more. You will never get the attack and response of the amp tones here out of a Helix. There is a difference in function and quality. Can I make similar, almost identical functional presets in Helix? Yes. Are the as good in sound quality? No.
      This single plugin comes with 4 amps, acoustic, clean, crunch and lead. And, it comes with pre and post effects that are just superior to the Helix. Not just metal. You don't seem to understand Neural products.

    • @majesticpbjcat7707
      @majesticpbjcat7707 2 роки тому +3

      @@nudsh I own Nolly, Plini, and Gojira as well as the Helix Rack and HX Stomp. I understand quite well what those all can do as well as the Axe Fx and Kemper. I've also been playing and tone chasing for almost 30 years. Yes, the NDSP plugins are *geared* towards metal. That's not too say they don't have a few plugins that can cater to other styles, but mostly, they're metal centric. You can totally get the Helix to sound just as good as any of those products if you know what you're doing. I don't think you know what you're talking about. I guarantee if you were blindfolded and asked to tell the difference between all the modelers and Neural products against the Helix, you wouldn't be able to. That's a Fact. 5

    I can see the room feature being great for headphones, first thing you notice when plugging headphones into a real amp (if it has a jack) is that it sounds wayyyyy different, and its because you lose the room sound. Monitors though, are your monitors not in a room lol? That room sound that disappears through headphones, IS the room your in, be it your basement bedroom or a nice studio. If you turn that one through monitors, you're getting double room sound, one from your room and one digital. Everyone who's recorded anything through a mic knows how much the room matters, especially those who have recorded in bedrooms growing up. Even in this video with direct sound, that room sounds kinda like a bad reverb, except for on the close setting. I already have Abasi, and after this I think I'm leaning towards Gojira for my next one...

    They honestly should update their current line of VSTs so the audio quality is uniform

    I've been using pod farm for a while now and I got a new pc for some reason, it doesn't work when I transferred it to my new pc. Which forced me to look for alternatives, this looks amazing, I might put down the money next paycheck!

    Anyone else getting playback delay?? Like when you hit play the track doesn't start playing for a second or two?? Really strange because I don't have this issue with the Nameless Suite or Gojira SIM but for some reason this one has that problem. Makes it kind of hard to record as unless I start the recording 4 clicks before I actually start to play....
    I've tried everything but it isn't the latency in the DAW or the track itself it's just the plug in causing the issue...
    Is this happening to anyone??? ANYONE????

    Just downloaded the trial and I haven't explored it yet since I got stuck playing a lot on just one preset. hahaha

      I used to use mercurial amps and I loved them but they tended to be heavy on my CPU for some reason. I own several neural DSP amps now and I haven’t tried this one yet but if it’s as good as the others (many are saying it’s the best yet) then it’s worth checking out the demo at least. I personally think they are both versatile and intuitive. I no longer use the mercurial amps anymore.

    I'm more interested in top notch sim+ir's idgaf about the eq/peddles/room tones those are all extras that can be better had by dedicated hardware/plugins. Is it still worth it since your paying a premium?
