You are so right about the drop tune pedal man, None of the other ones that i've tried hit the spot just right for me, but this plugin is just bonkers as a whole
Hey Keyan. As usual, your riffs are crushing, but your clean playing at the end of the video is awesome! Thanks for this video! I´m blown away by the Gojira PlugIn btw! ;-)
How is the latency with the pitch shifter pedal at 100% wet. I sometimes use a pitch shifter plugin, when im to lazy to tune down, its ok for rifs, but when you want to play faster, its quite noticable
I used an external tuner to find where 1 and 2 whole steps down were, and made presets based on those positions, and it's just as good as my Digitech Drop pedal without the hassle of hooking up an extra pedal. It's great
This tone CRUSHES!!!! I’ve got amps and amp tweaking coming out of my ears with my Fractal FM3 so I’ll wait until this goes on sale and pick it up as well as the SLO..
i've found that the Fortin Cali and Archetype Plini plugins have solid clean tones. I'd think the Cory Wong one is great for clean tones, but haven't tried it yet.
@@facepunch267 The beauty of these open tunings is that 90% of the time, things tend to write themselves insanely quickly cause they utilise a lot of open strings (not to take anything away from Keyan of course, he's a great player) but definitely try some out. Start with FACGCE and see how you get on, that's a really popular tuning for a lot of math rock/midwest emo bands and you'll probably discover the foundation of a usable riff in the first 5 minutes of trying it out.
Wow... I didn't expect this metal inspired plugin to be so versatile while not cutting back on the metal tones. I might just make the switch from my cheap fender mustang II amp to this.
I was trying to decide which dsp I wanted today and I was on the edge with this one and the Abasi, but this wone as soon as I heard the clean tone at the end. So much post rock coming up!!

Bro i Love your Videos, you are always a great inspiration to me! the high tone rush what you address at 15:38, I find unbearable! did you get it under control?
just a quick question, what do u say about the amps in this compared to plini, omega and nameless, btw heavy af tones just some clicks away, and a great additional feature u told about detune cool🤘
Are there any plugins that only do that detune feature? I dont need this whole plugin so i can pitch shift my guitar. And i cant find a digitech whammy pedal in my country
Yooooo not sure if you've seen this video from February or not, but I just saw it today: they put out a video and included a link with a bunch of presets for drop-tuned settings in the Archetype Gojira plugin. I just tried them out and they're actually fucking tight /watch?v=B5c36rq7CGs
Do you have video on how you handle that unnecessary noise that are showing at the end of your playing? I have the same issues and I want to get rid of it in the mix badly.
Use a noise gate and put tape or something over the strings at the headstock to get rid of all the harmonic overtones and shit you don't want ringing out
Nice but all plug-ins should be included in one bundle- even if it's a premium price point given the high quality of the product. Hit "+1" if anyone else is with on this one. I also think they should be included in their new QC offering pre-loaded- +2?
Wish Neural would get off their asses and fix the graphics sizing problems though. Standalone works fine. Plugs inside daws are too big and size buggy depending on what daw your using. They're usable but graphically not the way they should be.
I got it to sound VERY close to Toxic Garbage Island tone. I used my own Maxon OD808 with a Charvel San Dimas with Duncan Distortion and increased the bass a little
Only review worth seeing. You are a humble person, you play amazing guitar, and you do research on what you are saying. No matter how big your channel will become stay like this!
Keyan, I gotta say thank you for all of this amazing content. Your lessons are really helpful and your tone is always on point, thanks for all the inspiration!
I love Neural DSP, but how do you get rid of that terrible hiss sound. When you were playing that math rock preset, there was this constant buzz and crackle in the background. It was subtle but noticeable. I have the same problem with my Gojira plugin, and I can't figure how to get rid of it.
i use the pitchproof pitch shifter since all the bands i listen to use different tunings. its really good for guitar imo and free, but it wont even lower bass a half step without sounding super weird. could be worth a try for you.
I have used Pitchproof as well because I'm too lazy to hook up my Digitech Drop pedal most of the time. The shifter in this plugin is way better than Pitchproof, sounds just as good as my drop pedal. You just have to run it into a tuner outside the plugin to find where the steps are to make sure you're actually in tune. I have presets based around those positions to make it easy
I bought the Granophyre Plugin, which I LOVE, but the Gojira came out 3 days later and I was a tad salty. Anyways I love the longer-form content on your channel. Your killing these plugin demos, keep it up.
