Yaz had the original definitive sound that all groups were copying back in the day. I have (2) singles from the LP, and I would like to collect "Only You" for my next Yaz single. For so many years (before the internet), I didn't know the lead singer of Yaz was a female... a deeper voice that just blew me away. And Vincent Clarke - from Depeche Mode to Yaz to Erasure and some side projects (unbelievable talent). Nice resume' of bands; probably the best with electronic groups. Well, that's my take on Yaz - so worth it to own the LP (full of hits). Take care and catch you on "The Flip Side".
Think I picked up the Beat Street record before I scored the 12" single for "Breaker's Revenge". As a kid, I had this vinyl and re-collected this gem many years later. Always thought the original Beat Street and Breakin' Soundtracks were the best. I don't really care for the part 2 of both of these - had the Breakin' 2 Soundtrack when it was released. Got to say Breakin' original soundtrack was the best. Happy to have these in my collection. Thanks for watching!
Great stuff! I should have picked up a copy of A Dark Enchantment by Secession when it was around ages ago. Pretty hard to get now. That Psyche album is one I should get too. Cheers!
Hey Mark! It's been a while; hope you are doing well. Yes, the Dark Enchantment is a collectible for sure - risen in price over the years. But it has come down a little (vinyl) and I can remember the CD was close to $100 on Ebay about 15 years ago. Not a standard LP that you find in a local record store; that's for sure. The Psyche LP with Unveiling the Secret is a must-have. I actually picked that one up from a co-worker that was selling his Uncle's collection. I was really surprised to see that one in the stack. Hi Chris, it was so much Fun sharing this crate of gems from many years of collecting. Bringing back the memories of flipping through good stuff (just like the record store). Vintage classic for sure with Yazz… you can play that LP in its entirety. The early Depeche Mode stuff is awesome; especially with Black Celebration (well produced - a sound that will live forever in our hearts).
