I'd like to see, Charlie, Dave Lombardo, Gene Hoglan, sit down and play in the same room, I'd like to see how they feed off each other... Been a fan since 85, This guy is a monster drummer!
Killer ideas! The one that reminds of Nobody knows anything should be in the next album for sure! Also, I would love to hear some blast beat combined with Joey Belladonna vocals in a song, that would be killer.
Really like the groove at 3:58 especially when you add the little side hihat at 4:06 and 4:10 that's a really nice groove would go really nice with a heavy groove riff
Hi Charlie. Just wanted to say that on Saturday I was planning to come see you guys at Brixton. Unfortunately the rail strikes mean I won't be able to get there. You might find the gig a little empty on the night as I know several mates who are stuck in the same boat. Had a blast in the tent at Sonisphere and Brixton last time out and was really looking forward to this. Have a great gig! 🤘🤘
That first video was absolutely fucking awesome. Well the were all great ideas to build on but holy shit brother so glad you are still pushing it that hard
Charlie is badass,he's been around awhile, one of the early double kick guys, also fast, odd time stuff BUT also plays with groove. Mr.Benante has paved the way for MANY metal drummers today, and to be cheek here should I say,HE'S THE MAN! True Anthrax fans will get that. You kick ass Charlie🤘🤘🤘🤘
watching your left hand rolls at two min in reminded me of buddy rich and animal smashing it out !charlie keepin drumming a mad animal that for myself has helped me overcome violence and stress issues in my life ,a martial art of its own!legend benante, peace out uk crime ork!
the rythm with the cowbell and high hat would be a SICK piece for like Chuck D or someone. Fantastic representation of a jamaican / hip-hip offense. You're truly a talented artist Charlie. Fucking beat magician all around.
That was a sick, funky beat! More Cowbell, lol! That got me dancing, and I don't dance. Unless the beat makes me! Great rythm, and the Cowbell brings it all together like a great drum circle. He's always been the tightest drummer in Metal. Like a machine! And always practicing and learning, finding more and more ways to push his playing. I wonder what that "Smart Ass" Lars, from that other great band, would sound like if he had learned and practiced, every since both were on Megaforce Records..? We'll never know..(and if we did, it'd be edited, like most video clips from them, lol). Charlie is one of the most unique drummers, as well. As soon as you hear him play, it's obvious it's Charlie. Whatever style played, you'll know it's Charlie. An incredible player who always stands out in the best way possible!
I had to check my player speed to make sure it was on 'normal', you beast! Thanks for the jams! I don't know if you ever have time for interviews, but you are always welcome to stop by and dialogue anytime, coffee, music, life, anything you want. Have a great 4th of July Charlie.
All of the 4minute mark. That's a groove there. Got the Riff? ;) Also, to your right hand, are those hi-hat stack variations? The right one seems like the Max stack, but tighter percussive feel. It's a dope kit you have there! The 8:30min #StrengthBeyondStrength #StrongerThanAll
Among the big four charlies may be the most technical in term of Pure Technic.. after him maybe Nick menza Many people will hate me but i hate to say this Dave is good but to me is pretty super fast and thats about it not soo much complicated part ... If your fast enough and have endurance you can pretty much play dave part but charlie and nick part are some what technical and they were pretty fast as much as dave .... But dave maybe the most popular among the big four People shit on lars but i think some of his part are way better beat than dave people will kill me for what i just wrote but its the truth
Personally...I have always loved anthrax...from neil turbin..to Joey...but I really loved John Bush behind the mike...I think that was some of the greatest music that never took off...just my opinion...but shit....it took anthrax somewhere else...
Pantera groove at 9:00 is Strength Beyond Strength I believe. Awesome stuff Charlie 👌👊
How tf did you notice that???? Awesome stuff Darren👌👊
@@ArturHedlund cheers bud. Charlie mentioned a Pantera song somewhere in the vid and it just popped in my head when he played it.

Just looks like he’s having so much fun. After all he’s done with music and drums that is so inspiring. Just love the joy in his playing.
I'd like to see, Charlie, Dave Lombardo, Gene Hoglan, sit down and play in the same room, I'd like to see how they feed off each other... Been a fan since 85, This guy is a monster drummer!

5:29 Rock with You - Michael Jackson
5:43 sounds a bit like Becoming - Pantera
someone else nailed the strength beyond strength
The second one makes a lot more sense now 👀
Yeah they were friends with vinnie i think
RIP Vinnie Paul - nice chops chief Benante - stronger than all!!
Hi Charlie.

Charlie was the first drummer I really really tuned into. I'm not even the worlds biggest Anthrax fan...but it's still great to watch him work.
Such an amazing musician.
So awesome.
THE WORLD NEEDS A NEW ANTHRAX ALBUM!!! IT’S BEEN TOO LONG!!
I'm confident that you're gonna do Vinnie proud 🤘☺️🤘
Thank you for sharing these jams!
Really like that groove at 5:00

I tried 1.5 speed because of your comment.
@@shoechew Good move, he probably sounded like Flo Mounier at that point!

Blast beats are overrated.

Is it just me or are those kicks way longer than normal? LOL
it's funny how in todays music world ud be considered a 12 year old if u played like this
