      I appreciate the great words! It's such a good feeling being able to help out the community and the feedback a really big motivator. Without having the passion to want to make the videos and take the time to get the content out there you end up worth bland boring videos. I believe for the 18+ they beefed up the brackets. Would you say this install is still necessary to do or is the beefed up bracket adequate for heavy loading?

      @@Smeedia definitely thinking 2015 and up it's just hard I really want an STI I've always wanted one but I live down in the south and very rarely do we get snow or inclement weather down here plus I'd be using it probably as a daily so I feel like the standard WRX would be a better option because it's more economical and a better car to daily plus the bodies are exactly the same which is something I love about this generation is how good the design looks plus I can find one with significantly lower miles for a better price and since I tried to hang on to the Miata I could have my fun daily car and my fun weekend car so the wrx is the obvious choice.... but its still not an sti lol

    • @Smeedia
      @Smeedia  4 роки тому

      @@cars67833 I think it's still justifiable, when I live in louisiana I had my 08 and 07 STIs they were a blast on the backroads. It also depends on what you want out of the car. The WRX is a lot more economical in terms of gas mileage compared to the STI. It also I much better for city driving and all the of power is down low. But either option is a solid choice I've owned both in the 15+ generation and I've been happy with both cars.

    • @Smeedia

      Thank you! It has definitely become my money pit 😅 I've ran both, the IAG one I have now has a soft backing behind it so it wont run off any paint. Don’t think so. The TSB that Subaru put out was for the 2015-2017 models because the firewall was made with 1mm thick metal. The 2018+ models of STI and WRX have 2mm thick firewall to correct the issue. I haven’t heard of any issues with the 2018+ models since they upgraded the firewall thickness
