Love that boat. Previous owner did an amazing job with all his improvements. Lovely couple. Meanwhile, welcome back Chris.

Fantastic video Chris thanks for sharing it 🙏 it’s wonderful to see our little Spirit live on and to give others the joy she gave us. Fair winds and hope to see you on the water sometime, Jason and Claudia

Great to have you back! What a cool boat - could you talk a bit about the sailing characteristics? Also - please, please, please, with sugar on top - can you make a few podcasts? I have a few night passages coming up and I love listening to your deck updates and random tangents when sailing through the middle of the night 🙏

It’s wild that Chris can sail this machine solo, without an autopilot, and even through the marinas on a little outboard offset from the rudder!

Previous owner had a $1,400 Thermomix on board that he must of kept. That would have been nice to have.

I have been watching that boat since it showed up in the Whitsundays (what seems eons ago). I absolutely love Antigua but my last visit was before that boat showed up in the aforementioned neck of the woods. When it was for sale with J & C (in hindsight) I should have been the next owner...... I like your style so subbed. I used to run a HSW70 (004) I ran a crew of 2 + me whilst the sister-ships ran 7 + Skip between West Indies and New England. Less was always better. Cheers. Ps That boat at sea with no fence is like a KTM at full noise dodging kangaroos in the bush near sunset with no fence.

Wow, I saw this boat cruising around Phuket years ago. Did she cross the Indian / Atlantic ocean?

Great vid! You might like off-the-shelf earplugs too. The spongy type is easy to get used to. Less weight on your head.

I followed her with the Hawkins round Oz and as Bullfrog - gorgeous tri that excelled in the light airs of SE Asia. Would love to know she got to the Caribbean

Thank you for a great showcase of a beautiful vessel. Have a rookie question for you. Do you know why this Trimaran and especially the maxi trimarans seem to have that large half circle structurally at the stern of the vessel? Is it just for extra storage via nets or does it have actually sailing benefits? Some seem to have travelers there. I've been trying to research this... Thanks

Great video with many great tips.
On your trip you had an autopilot problem. After watching Nick a naval architect from DMS Marine while planing my own all metal hull trimeran it seems everything needs a backup and to be duplicated. Twin diesels, twin water makers and twin navigation computers and instruments etc. Why didnt you have a second autopilot and simply switch out the malfunctioning one? Regards Philip

Hi Chris, I'm new to ur channel, just a ? Was it the electrics that failed on the auto pilot, or the actual mechanism. Thanks for sharing, really enjoyed the content, very interesting boat, would have been nice to see more of it. Be safe. 🇦🇺🌈👍
