Sadly the caverns seem to be overly farmed currently, making it nearly impossible to farm these, let along get both buffs at the same time. I hate it when blizzard does this, they did it in nazjatar with zin'anthid, to where it was a herb only found in one zone so it was botted and multiboxxed to death due to that. Same is happening here where people are botting and multiboxxing all the nodes making it extremely difficult for the common player to be able to farm anything in the caverns.
In 6:11 each orb gives more than one for you, but it gives 1 per orb when I collect, my talents are not max though, so I wanted to ask what is exactly make you get more spores from that orbs is that perception or finesse or there is a specific node for that
I'm real disappointed blizzard didn't buff the spawn rate of these or give us a creature to kill this patch because they are so expensive of the auction house
so i am tryin this out now to combine mining and herba... whats the experience ? i got the 2 min buff from the metamorphic but disappeared in less then 2 mins, 1 time i got in combat with a rare, the other time i am not sure what i did, but it just went pooofff... Is this a thing that when you get one buff you supposed to find the other buff and dont engage in other activities even tho you have the time for it ?
will there be any knew knowledge point dumps for these modifiers? is there anything worth putting points into before 10.1? have both herbalism and mining

So back in Legion when you picked Foxflower, sometimes a fox would spawn, run away and leave a trail of flowers behind for you to run over to collect. But the problem with that was someone could come in, run over those flowers and basically steal what you could have collected. (Especially rogues). Did Blizz learn from this or is it going to be a problem again for people who overload their nodes?
Considering you've been able to take from others overloading abilities already that's probably gonna be the case, but multiple people can overload which means that more people being there = more herbs for everyone

Kind of sucks that you need mining and herb as "double gatherer" cause I historically had alchemy herbalism on my main, which I carried into DF, so my "gatherer" is mining skinning, to compensate the lacking ones. Now I'm gonna be robbed of this interaction on both.. that's a shame. I wish at least overloading would apply the other gathering prof's buff, could be a nice way to compensate it a bit.
need 300 for 1 single transmutation, thats 9K... plus 1K worth of silken gemdust and the dracothyst goes for 19-20K at the moment in the EU region.. (anyways EU region atm 35ish for one spore)

Great Video. My primary alt is a Prot pally with both herbing and mining. This will be great especially if perception increases the number of spores you get.
There is an addon called MiniMapAlert that will scan the surroundings and alert when special nodes are found. I love it, really helped when leveling gathering professions.

You need to complete the Patch 10.0.7 campaign to advance into Zaralek Caverns, but you can skip the 10.0.7 campaign if youve already done it on a main
I can see us getting new specialization additions in later patches. I think it just doesn’t make sense in this patch since almost everyone is still working towards maxing what we have now

I like that they added a spore creature for herb overload, this is similar to the Foxflower's fox spawn in Legion, so cute. :) Nice video, thanks!

There are some cases where skinning gets these. Rares can for example like the nether ray one.

There are no new specializations but putting in points into your mastering the elements tree to lower your overload cooldowns can be helpful

You dont need both buffs on your character, it is enough to contact with other player with the opposite buff.

PTR is pretty vacant so I havent had any ability to test this, so im not sure :/

There’s no requirements to see them, even non gatherers can see them throughout the cavern

I got that propogated spore stuff without having both professions, though I am not sure how I did it
I was able to do by just getting near one of the metaphotfic ores, mining it didn't do it, I have to get really next to it.

There is not a specific node for spores themselves. Mastering the elements tree for the overload cooldown will likely come in handy

You just need to unlock the Mastering the Elements tree in mining/herbalism to gain the spell

Spores should be considered a rare side gather like rousing essences which means it is affected by Perception!
