Improve Your Zowie with These Hidden Settings

- BenQ wasted a lot of potential by tuning their Zowie monitors not as well as they could be. But you can access the factory menu and tune the overdrive (AMA) yourself. Also the Blur Busters Strobe Utility unlocks much more control over the backlight strobing (DyAc). In this guide I will show you how to do that using the XL2411K and this is possible with many other Zowie monitors as well.

@techless On the blue osd, there’s a setting called BurnIn which lets the settings you put for the gain stay on for the duration of the monitor’s screen time. This should be put on because it resets the gain level to 11 or 15 sometimes which does not help with the inverse ghosting issue. Sadly, I could not find a solution to having the gain setting stay permanently after turning off the monitor.
Does anybody knows whats the best settings with the XL2546 ?
Did anyone find a way to save these settings permanently?

AMA high
GAIN 8

I think gain 6 looks best with the least overall artifacts

Does reducing the gain value from the default 15 increase the monitors response time? Example does it go from 1ms GTG to 3ms
Yes, but it also decreases the error rate. 1ms GtG is worth nothing with crazy overshoots...

i want moxl2411k monitor but all the review talk about how terrible the visual quality is, im more in the competitive side of gaming and want the lowest ms response time that give me an advantage but wont go wrong with a little color, i mostly play rainbow 6 siege, destiny 2, call of duty on (ps5) btw, my price range is 180-300 for a good over all gaming 144hz monitor. my other choices would be BEN q mobius EX2510 or LG24GN650-B ultragear which would u recommend ?

I've been doing this trick with the XL2546K, unfortunately AMA High is already set to something like 2-3/15 so overshoot reduction is very minimal

@@pagosiixbl2136 if your Zowie gets dim while strobing you have been scammed or Benq installed the wrong backlight lol. My 2546K was the brighter strobing monitor that I've ever tried.

Hi man i always had problems with benq monitors ...when i move my mouse fast and shoot a target my shots doesnt get tracked correctly.., do you know where the problem could be ? Because on normal 240hz ips panels i dont have the problem just on benq monitors.. 🤔

You, like many people, have input lag issues. This is completely different from the response time of the panel. Unfortunately, 99% of people confuse them. All digital monitors have input lag. There is currently no way to solve it.

Whenever trying to use ufo tests for blur, it is super blurred and stuttery, but then for 2 seconds rabdonly it is super smooth and visible, and i did the pixel skipping test and there is none when in fullscreen.
So i cant even fine tune ny settings because of how stutters the ufo tests are constantly, works fine on other monitors tho :/

I have a question, i use DyAc High and AMA High and then when I see what the gain value is, it’s 11 by default but when I change it to 7 it makes my settings change to standard settings, I can’t use fps 2 with DyAc high and AMA high cos it goes back to gain 11, is that suppose to happen
It's expected that the gain adjustments will be lost when changing presets or AMA or DyAc modes - that's unfortunately how it's programmed. Though you should be able to select FPS2, DyAc high and AMA high and then dial in the gain setting in the factory menu. The monitor should keep the settings till next standby or restart then.
@@techlessYT I’m on Fps 2 have changed all my settings to DyAc high etc, open up the menu thing it’s on 11 then when I try change it to 7 or at all it changes my settings back to standard
Oh well, that's strange. Have you tried coping your settings to one of the gamer profiles first by using xl setting to share?

I bought the XL2411K 144Hz but in the menu it says 1920x1080 @ 60. why there is the 60. inside the blue menu its the Same. Please help me

You didn't mentioned the Premium Settings, isnt it possible to turn this on when adjusting the Gain in the Blue Menu?
When setting DyAc and AMA to Premium in Gamer Mode with Black eQualizer at 0 then when I go to the Blue Menu the Monitor does change to Standard Mode.
Even if I configure the Gain and activate after this to Gaming Mode it the Gain is not saved.
Is it possible with Premium Settings?
hi i solved this.
First you set FPS1 mode than change 15 to 6 and thats it. I shows standart but if you check the monitor carefully it is FPS1.

I don't believe the XL2411P has Dyac options. I read that it is AMA. I want to make my games smooth as possible. I have AMA at high and Blur reduction enabled
It's the newer XL2411K the XL-K line not P. It has DyAc. Only reason to buy this monitor
Your “Blur Reduction” setting is the same as Dyac. It’s just a different name
@@CLUE_911 no it's not same as Dyac. I have used the P version and have the current K one. Dyac is night and day difference. Just do the UFO test for both it's clear or boot up Valorant and Dash with Jett surroundings will be clear with DyAc
