I’ve had Dan’s book for a few months now and I recommend it to anyone who struggles with the short game
Great video
Love this vid Noel 👊👍
I like the recap of the methods. It is always interesting to see how a different person describes the same thing. I really found your description of release 1 informative.
thanks for your review.i dont have the bookl, but watch the videos. I am still confused about the separation of the 3 releases.is it more your stance from the ball, the release timing, the follow thru, combo of several things. from what I see it is a lot about the length of the backswing from the address, release 1 like you say more like a putt, release 2 a longer swing, release 3 still longer all based on the situation .if you could explain a little more.thanks John
I would say that the defining factor is how much you let the club head pass the handle through impact. As you say though, with more release there is a progression of wider stance, lower hands, more distance from the ball and with more loft at impact there is always more swing. Having just written this reply I see your point, even though Dan has done a terrible job in putting all this into a framework, there is still a lot to it.
Release 1 used everywhere is enough until you hit single figure hcp
I appreciate that you may well be already
