Might be a miracle that zero heads caught the corner of those cabinets during that process. Well done!

We did manage to avoid that hazard.

Wow, that looks more painful and complicated than I ever would have imagined installing an appliance could be. 😮

It was, by far, the most difficult appliance installation we've ever done.

Here's a little tip for any new owners of this machine. Do yourself a huge favor and make sure you clean the lint filter and whatever lint that gets past it on to the condenser coil after every load. Not doing so will come back to haunt your machine sooner than later....

For sure! We found a really long lint brush that easily reaches to those coils.

Tip to slide the unit on tile... Spray Windex on the floor.

Good idea. I'll try that next time we need to slide it out.

Beautiful unit and with some hammer arrestors soon to come I hope!
    Thanks for the video!

Thanks. The arrestors are in the wall. It made some noise on the first cycle because the hoses were empty.

That's real love...I wish I had a partner that would help me like that. Well done! I may purchase the Amazon stand, but I will use 2 car jacks with wood to lift my G.E Profile.

Using the gray matter for problem solving, well done!!
Now, since you have had it installed do you actually happy with purchase?
We have a manufacturer home on a lake (summer only due to exposed Sandpoint well for water)in which we are considering this model due to limited space and water softener in same area of house.
Why did u use the Amazon riser over GE’s 7” since that will attach to the unit?

Thanks! Yes, I am happy with the purchase because it stayed where I put it. My wife is happy with it because it does the laundry and she doesn't have to move the wet clothes between wash and dry cycles.

Thank you for your video! I'm looking at purchasing this behemoth but I've heard that putting it on a riser (even the recommended 7" GE universal riser) causes it to shake and travel great distances across the floor. Have you had any issues like this with your riser?

My wife read somewhere in the manufacturer's information that this unit is designed with a counterbalance on the spin cycle that makes it move side to side, i.e., shake, and it certainly does. But we have not had any issues with it migrating.

Return it asap! This thing has turned into a nightmare, three hour runtimes. The lint filter set up is horribly flawed.

Absolutely not! I'll sell the house before I ever move that beast again. Seriously though, like many other completely new technologies, it requires some learning curve. It makes a whole different set of noises. The lint control system does require more attention by the machine operator (i.e., wife in our case), but the old style required a more difficult lint control. The long dryer vent collected lint along the entire length. That was unavoidable as the air slows as it goes, and that allows the lint to fall from the air stream, creating a fire hazard if ignored. We found a very long lint brush that makes it much easier to clean the extremities of the lint channel. Cleaning after every load is part of the new routine. I can see where long run times could be an issue with a large family or large loads. For just the two of us, we don't generate large loads, so run time hasn't become an issue.

Here is a link to the lint brush we bought. (This is an affiliate link provided for your convenience, but there's no added cost to you) Thanks for watching!
