Bet you didn't need to move everything aside to get that bottom bolt out. You could have removed the 2 bolts to the hub and merely spun the third bolt until the hub came off. No need to establish clearance for it.
HOw did you know they needed to be changed, I have the same car and have a humming drone sound that increases with speed, I am thinking this might be my issue too
According to ALLDATA, the lower control arm bolt and 3 flange bolts are all torque to yield and should not be reused like they are on the video. The caliper bolts should have thread locker on them too
Interesting. I may end up doing this as mine has started the ol' humming. Usually my test to ensure it is hubs is to take sharp turns, but its a lot harder to get the weight off the rear of the car compared to the front. Though I also seem to have a issue when braking, and i noticed when I took my winter tires off that I think it might be the E-brake doing it on that same wheel. Any tips on how to correct that issue? I've heard getting up to a decent speed in reverse and slamming on the brakes will reset it.
could you just remove the two upper bolts and loosen the bottom one without removing it completely, that way the bearing assembly comes off towards you?
He should have, if you don't have a bi directional scan tool. You jack it up and unscrew the air fitting at the back top of the airbag a few turns and let it deflat. Then when ur down let the jack down to vehicle ride height then start the vehicle up and let it run a couple minutes till the air suspension pumps back up.

@@hunky_dory_7021 unless you hit the parking brake button before you started the removal no… if you are trying to remove the rotor and you Have the caliper and caliper bracket off… spray wd-40 it all the wheel stud holes and what ever holes you can find.. then while you SPIN the rotor, hit it with a hammer from the back side through a block of wood if your saving the rotor, no wood necessary if you are replacing rotor 👌🏽
Good video last year a had the left rear hub replaced on my 2014 xts. Kust yesterday the abs and traction control came on did took it to pepboys so thy could do a computer test on it and it came out tht the abs sensor is faulty. From this video am confident a can do the hub wich a dont need thou the bearing is in good condition but i woiid like to know where and how i replace the sensor of you could give me a hand with that please and thank you for this video very helpful

reapplication of thread locker and using a torque wrench would make him a better mechanic IMHO

Is it a safety or alignment issue if you do not ? If you see something wrong in a repair video you should inform viewers and not play guessing games
That to to set preload. If not you will wear out bushing. Also this guy didn’t put red lock tite on.
What torque do you use on the bolts? Is it the same torque for the front?
Hub to knuckle 125 ft/lb, axle nut 184 ft/lbs on front, brake caliper carrier 148 ft/lbs and wheel fasteners 140 ft/lbs
This is a front axle, as there is no rear axle and rears don't currently pivot.. so the tittle is incorrect
The “tittle” doesn’t say “axle” numb nuts… it says wheel hub

THE SENSOR SHOULD BE ATTACHED TO THE WHEEL BEARING.
You should have thrown some new pads while you at it.....
