Until i started listening to Igorrr, I was sadly unaware that one could, in fact, shred the hell out of an accordion.
You should take a listen to the song Vesoul from Jacques Brel (a Belgian Singer who mostly made his carreer in France).
There is an accordion shreding through the whole song and the player is Marcel Azzola.
At one moment Jacques Brel even says "Chauffe Marcel !" which could be translated to "Show them Marcel". (Yes, the litteral translation is "Heat it Marcel").

And from what I read, the accordion is an insanely difficult instrument to play, so there's that too.
@@DemonWarp65 Not insanely difficult, but it certainly isn't very easy and has its quirks, just as it is with any other musical instrument
It's a bayan, which has a chromatic keyboard on the melody side and entire chords on one key (in certain keyboard configurations). Meaning it's quite a bit more comfortable than piano keyboards, since also the fingering for same note sequence is the same anywhere on the keyboard. It's a mystery why bayans haven't displaced accordions already, when accordionists are already familiar with that keyboard layout on the bass side.

As far as I am aware, Igorrr is just one person - Gautier Serre (the dude on guitar in this video), but I could be wrong
I believe he composes and samples the songs by himself, but has a bunch of people to record the instruments for him. There's no way a man to play so many different instruments so fluently by himself. Igorrr has really chosen the best people possible for his recordings.
No Igorrr track is made just by Gautier, it's a collaborative effort with the main guy being Gautier.
yes everyone above me is mostly correct. this new album needed to be free of any samples (probably a request by Metal Blade Records?) so older Igorrr songs had samples as well as live recording collaborations but this album relies only on music recorded from scratch etc?.
Do you have any source on the "needed to be free of any samples" part? I don't understand how sample usage could be such a big deal. Of course copyright exists, but if samples could be used in previous albums why can't they be used on this one as well?

I feel like every single tune from Igorrr is a whole new genre. And I love it.
That was honestly so good. During the ad, I was wondering, ‘What is this? Is this death metal? I hope it’s not pop.’ Seeing the voices in the description furthered me watching this. That was a lot more satisfying than a lot of other death metal bands. At first I was listening without headphones, but once I heard that first vocal, I immediately paused to grab headphones. There is something so perfect about that guttural with that slam type riff. Awesome instrumentation. I feel that this is really expressing the love for music and death metal. Great stuff!

Earlier this year I had to visit a funeral in another country of somebody close to me. Igorrr's music, particularly Savage Sinusoid, really pulled me through it. I listened to this album on repeat. I know that might sound strange since it's rather silly music, but the positive energy of it all had a really good effect on me. Thanks!

It's impossible to describe what this does to me. Just spent the last 3 hours binging everything Igorrr I can find...I can't stop.
At about 13 years old I was using a cheap program to create music that would eventually fit into the "Dubstep" genre. Now at 28, having done death metal vocals, spent years singing for a ska band, self taught about 8 instruments, and still making unique electronic music, I find that Igorrr is the embodiment of everything I could possibly hope to achieve on my musical journey. The collision and blend of genres, the constantly changing tempos, melodies, etc... Igorrr truly is a leader in the production of multi-genre music. I am both inspired; knowing what my future holds; and reluctant, seeing that my dreams have been made real by someone else. Regardless, thank you Igorrr for just; doing you.
