What I learned from watching Igorrr live: If you're at a metal festival, and the program marks a band's genre as "Avant garde", make it a priority to see that band!
It's like....if an alien tried to understand human emotions and looked at our music (ALL MUSIC) and tried to make a music video about "feels" with the hopes humans will like it. I do like it. Thanks aliens.

The trick is - you have to listen it more than once. When I found Igorrr, the first song I heard was brutal swing, i was like 'the fuck is this.' Then it grew on me very quickly, same with this song. You can discover new sounds, riffs, elements each time you play it, its amazing, really.

Many artists stay in their comfort zone, recycle mainstream songs and will never create something new. We are not creating original content as much as we are capeable of. Igorrr is truly creative!
Experimental for experimental, no real creative. I expect from a creation that it appeals to me. Even if it is well done it reminds me of a joyful brothel :)

The drum break at 2:00 perfectly mirrors the guitar that comes in right after, tuned and everything. The detail in this song really is insane, the composition is very homogenous, but the style changes throw your ear off the first....15 times or so you listen.
I can just picture my grandparents watching, and listening to this. Their hair standing on end, their facial expressions. Like something straight out of a horror movie! Like, OMG! WTF! You know, because they’ve been dead for some time now.
It’s like several musicians all with their own preferred genre got together, couldn’t decide what genre they wanted their band to be so just said “fuck it, we’ll do them all”.

To me when it comes to music it’s like going on our daily routine knowing the area your in and getting to your destination on time , however, this right here is like that time you take a last minute get away to a place you’ve never been and try find your way around with a map of a town that your not even in whilst been the passenger of a taxi who don’t speaka the engliss, all while trying to be nice and Holding back the anger at the same time for going the other way
I especially love the corporate chosen sound with this band, the poppy upbeat vocals and high octane beat along with the 5 minute long acoustic solo was spectacular. I would say if you missed this band then you are not a true fan boy bands nor the likes of Kardashian style-britney spears-corporate music. The best!
Baroque screamo breakcore opera isn't a scene i expected to discover but you can see why it exists, all the parts compliment each other. More than shoegaze samba techno blues or romance jungle punk country i imagine, though if anyone has any of those hit me up
Same goes for me. If your question wasn't a rhethorical one, well, it's said to be a mix of breakcore, baroque music/singing, death metal, trip hop and some other stuff. Which, shockingly, makes total sense as a description.
Sold on them per Very Noise. One of the most creative and influential bands that are probably a decade ahead of their time. But I am on board and ready to take the journey with them. For those not tapping into the inner soul of sound mechanics, you are missing out on something very special
