  • Took the Henry Carbine with the 18 inch barrel, and the new Chiappa 1886 with the 26 inch barrel out for some tests at 100 yards. I shot some 300 gr XTP's in both (5 rounds each) and studied the different groups. I also took out the 300 Gallant Polymer Coated Lead bullets. They were impressive. Barrel length does make a difference. It was a very windy day.

    Great video. I get that music paints a picture. Man, that was almost painful.😂 I have one of those 1886 45-70s. They can really reach out there. I've sort of settled in on either the 360 or 405 hard cast bullets. My local range goes out to 250 meters and that 86 really has no trouble hitting targets out there.
