What started as a plan to make a couple Halloween costumes out of thrifted materials turned into a cohesive fall/winter capsule wardrobe with 4 mix and match pieces that can work for Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine's Day!
Whether you're looking for tips on reworking thrifted clothing or upscale costume ideas for your pet, this is a fun one!

So many great things in this one. Queenie genuinely seeming to ponder every question Andrew asks her. The "capsule wardrobe" for a dog. And hearing Mom talking on camera! After seeing your Mom helping out with so many of your projects, it was really nice to hear her on this one.

Nice! I was watching while you were cutting the back piece for the sweater and thought, "oh no, that's gonna be snug!" Haha, I say that because I've tried make a few for my doggo and I always need to cut larger than I think! :) It turned out so well. Good work, as always!
Yeah it was hard to know how big to cut! But I think it worked out ok!

Yeah Queenie enjoys wearing most things and the attention that she get in them. But there have been a few items that I have returned that she just wasn’t herself in.

Extended Queenie dose yay! Cracked up especially when she thought it was nap time when draping the cape! Queenie was a patient model of her custom Haute couture! My dog rolls her eyes when it's time to try on outfits, she tries to be invisible "you don't see me!" but after she is wearing her comfortable cloths she loves the cozy feeling. Comfort is key so many store bought pet cloths are not comfortable at all. Love seeing you take such great care of your Queenie, sadly not every dog/pet parent does.... You are both blessed to have each other!

A tip for those silky fabrics, starching helps a lot. You can heavily starch it, then wash the fabric after to remove the starch. It helps so much with satins
Queenie occupying the ENTIRE bed and snoozing without a care while you toiled tirelessly over your sewing machine creating her costumes was undeniable proof that she was named appropriately. Mom, pup, and creator produced a record number of smiles in this episode!

OMG! PERFECTION! I think this is my favorite video of yours. Queenie is such a fabulous model. A couple of sewing tips: ruffs are easier to make with flat lace. If the lace isn't stiff enough you can starch it or sandwich it between horsehair ribbon bought in fabric or upholstery shops (or online). Also get to know bias tape. You could use double bias tape to finish off the cape edge. It's available in fabric shops in every color and in multiple widths. You can also make your own by cutting strips of fabric on a 45° angle to the fabric's grain (bias). Then iron. BRAVA, DIVA! LOVED ❤ THIS VIDEO!
