Same mate. I’ve never had a gen 3. I had a gen 4 for a little while. A gen 1 turbo diesel shorty that i regret selling and 13 gen 2’s!!!!!

What's your front suspension setup? Just reindexed torsions or have you also done balljoint flip/spacers? Also do you run longer shocks? Anything added or extended in the rear to deal with the extra flex?
In the front I run aftermarket shocks. But not longer. I’ve fully removed the upper droop stops also.
On the rear I’m running 4” longer shocks and have had to extend diff breather and brake hose

It was going well. Then the diesel pump failed. I’ve just fitted a new one and am in the process of fixing a few things up. Prior to that it was going mint. They’re a great car

@@PERTHSCOOTER07 was going to ask the same question. I got one the same but with open diff. So i need to install a rear diff lock. Not sure if i will find a factory diff, Tre4x4 or ARB. Great video btw! :)
Hey man did you do the injector pump before you sold it or sold it leaking? Not sure if cracked or not but has Wald puddy all on the bottom
Lol. The weld putty is not me. The car had a starting problem. I rebuilt the pump using all the best parts from 2 pumps and it wasn’t leaking when I sold it.
@@PERTHSCOOTER07 sweet as how long ago was that? Stop looking for new pumps then and more find out why the weld is there must seals
@@curtisdubuissonperrine7318 was only a couple of months ago. Remove the putty and clean it all down then hopefully pinpoint where it’s leaking from.
Hey man I have questions for you does it burn oil? And are the nl’s reliable for long journeys and do they keep up with the land cruisers and patrols
This thing didn’t leak or burn a drop. They are reliable for long journeys if the cooling system is in top condition. That’s the weak point of the 2.8L they don’t produce as much power as the Patrols and Cruisers but with a bit of work they go really well.

No need if using -22 offset wheels
Was anything done to the motor mate? Or just a bigger exhaust?
Just the exhaust. I was looking at getting a bigger turbo and intercooler but have since sold the car

Pretty out of context mate but would u know if the Pajeros nm - nw have the or similar exhaust turbi back? Currently looking for my nm but just can't find
I’m not sure. They would have to be very similar. I know the NW has a cat post turbo. Not sure if the NM does. What do you need exactly? Have you looked into aftermarket?
@@PERTHSCOOTER07 as far as I know the nw - nx have dpf but routing wise of the exhaust I was hoping you'd know. Mine is a 4m40 aswell NM there are few 3.2 np onwards just not sure if they're fitting
@@PERTHSCOOTER07 and I am current in looking for stock exhaust as mine is rusted off and I just copped a yellow..
@@paladinjosh8272 NS auto and early NT auto had dpf. Manual versions didn’t. No NW had a dpf. Early NX didn’t but it was reintroduced on NX model
Where did you get the rock sliders / side protectors from? Are those ARB?
No company makes off the shelf rock sliders for gen 2. These are custom built.
Nice rig! Body lift? What suspension?
It’s got 1” Luxlifts body lift and GU Patrol tow pack springs which give 3” lift.
@@PERTHSCOOTER07 The tow pack springs give more fo a lift? would the normal GU patroll springs do a 2 inch or ?
@@LucidSnapshots GQ ones give around 2” and GU around 2.5”
Do all pajeros make that loud clanking noise when flexing, on the rear axle? If so why is that? Thanks 👍
All mine have. I think it’s the springs moving in their locating plates.

Are you using balljoint spacers?
Not on this one. I did on my old swb gen 2. On this one I’ve fully removed the upper stoop stops

Hi mate. Theses are Simex Centipedes. 35/10.5R16
is it solid axle coils?
Independent front and solid axle rear on coils
What gear ratio in axles?
4.9:1
@@PERTHSCOOTER07does 5th gear come on on the highway?
@@agentprotsko1974 4.9 is the factory ratio for this car and works ok with 35” tyres so highway is not a problem

I did. It’s currently for sale with the current owner

@@curtisdubuissonperrine7318 I recently bought back my white NL that I travelled round Aus in and didn’t need 2. The white one has sentimental value so the Hippo had to go
I just bought the hippo for a camping and touring 4wd for me and the family does have leaking injector pump is there anything you recommend fixing or need doing as obviously the new owner after you didn't have it long?

@@curtisdubuissonperrine7318 omg. That’s awesome. The owner asked me about the leak. The way he described it it sounded like it could be from one of the injector pipe unions.
