This "pros are better than you so u can't criticize" argument has always seemed autistic to me. No shit hes better than everyone in the comments, that doesn't mean we can't clearly see hes outmatched and clearly isn't ro8 material. Same thing can be said of pro sports. Cleveland browns clearly can play football better than any of us, doesn't mean it's not hard to see they are tiers below other teams.
Dark does outmatch Bunny, bit the game also shows some problems with Zerg. Creep, rubberbanding, and nydus are a little too strong right now. Make the nydus a little more expensive or slow the rate units can move through, make creep tumors have way less health and spread slower, and I think we'd have more interesting match ups. Still wild that Zerg can build drones faster than you can kill them, but that's so much class identify it's hard to approach.
Bunny just kept attacking the wrong units. He went for queens or army instead of drones so the damage was not efficient and he just gave dark so much time to expand and get to that zerg sweet spot
Yeah it was insane how grouped they were. Those blinding clouds were so easy to land. Also he didnt seperate his Vikings when parasitic bombs were landed on them . I think it's because he was outmacroed and outmicroed .
Dark is so good but he is just to content to go into mid and late game... He has such amazing micro that he could throw in a 2 base all in and win a lot of the time considering most people think he wants to go late game all the time... Dark! Switch it up and you're top 4 90% of the time!!!!
zergs early game is not that great. you generally always see zergs go 3 bases. darks strength is that he is aggressive but at the same time that can be his weakness against really great players who dont die from aggressiveness and that leaves zerg really weak. serral and rogue are good at droning up and just winning that way which is why they are a little bit better then dark. dark is just slightly worst then the top top players.

But because Innovation beat Serral and Maru was still at his peak, the devs simply decided to give this year to Zergs, probably hoping to see Serral win again... since, players feelings aside, having non-korean win blizzcon was good for the game overall. Sadly the plans didn't work out for them, and raiding the wave of Zerg OPness, Dark made it his year instead. Zerg still OP btw. Thankfully not as much as it was in 2019.
Man, Zerg production is just so insanely fast. You almost have to play perfect if you want to stand a chance against a Zerg. I'm relatively new to Starcraft, so I'm sure i'm being naive, but it just seems kind of...unfair.
Zergs trade durability for speed. In other words, They are fast, soft, and have to be ahead in bases in order to take out other races and reach their full potential, imo.
Terran players are better and smarter. Therefore they make the other races stronger. Protoss players typically only have one hand so the race is designed so they can hit amove with their nose and win. Zergs are typically stupid so they make it easy to make 100's of units.
i don't think it's unfair, just by nature of the race they can focus more on the economy (f.e. making 10 drones at once) If you don't force them into unit production you can't really catch up.

I'm so sick of watching Zerg suffer major damage to early pressure and then not get punished. Zerg's ability to bounce back due to the ability to spam a trillion drones is just unfair and it's getting more and more frustrating to watch.
It's been like that since WoL, and it is ridiculous tbh. I mean I almost want like Terran who has M.U.L.Es to be able to have as Protoss, Hallucinated probes or something. Now that Recall is on a Nexus we can't just spam our energy onto Probes and even before we needed it for upgrades or critical units just to defend a base.
Major damage? Go back to 44:00 and rewatch the attack. Bunny loses 11 scvs and only kills 2 drones. He ends up being 17 workers behind. No wonder you find games frustrating to watch if you want a terran to fail an attack yet still win the game.
@@jenniferhamels1176 I get that Dark is a better player and believe he deserved to take the match. But if a Terran or Protoss player had misread an opponent's build so horribly in the BC rush game they would have lost. Here the Zerg player won.
@@jenniferhamels1176 imo you're terribly mistaken, bunny has good mechanics and very good speed, I think me made some bad strategic mistakes and his bos were terrible for many reasons, but that's much easier to improve on than raw mechanics. Therefore I think he's quite a skilled player, yeah he's not a big name yet like Maru or dark but is he bad, absolutely not
Some were hopefully cuz Bunny truly was playing his best earlier in the ro16, but sadly, his best probably wasn't going to be good enough. I also wouldn't call this play particularly special for him.
