Man!! You must of been paired with the guy who shot 111 😮 There are a lot of really good golfers out there that can get rattled in an open qualifier. But a 1.2 or better ain’t shooting a 111. They would bow out after 9, because that type of golf can impact everyone on the group. As evident by this video. The USGA needs to do something about bad golfers putting in random fake scores on GHIN just to be able to play a local qualifier. Great video, keep putting out great videos!
Love the humble attitude George. Appreciate how honest you are in how you felt and your attitude when things went bad. Like you said, press on and move forward. On to the next one!! Look forward to celebrating with you when you qualify in the next one. Let’s goooo!!
Used to watch a lot of golf on the tv over the past 40 years or so, from European tour to Asian tour to Sunshine tour to Pga tour but this past few year's i only watch the majors and UA-cam golf, Bryan bros in particular. That looked like a very bouncy course there George, don't know how anyone could shoot -4 round there 🤯 Looking forward to seeing how yourself and Wesley get on this season, best of luck.
This is my favorite Bryan Bros video so far. One bad shot + bad recovery + knowing that you are out = total deflation. That's what makes golf so hard and so beloved at the same time.
George, thanks for sharing your experiences. It’s amazing how mental golf is. If you’re carrying over thoughts from the next hole or even the next shot, it can influence different parts of your swing (speed, cadence, timing, etc). Playing under pressure like this, you literally have to take one shot at a time. Best of luck going forward!
Based on what? He was knocking in testers for par all day. He gave himself very few good looks for birdie. He was leaving the ball in bad spots all day.
You did well with what you had that day. You had that one crazy out-of-the-jungle punchout and the tree-scuff, plus a lot of scrambling, and persevered well through it. Positioning on those greens is crazy too. Cheers G!
Great video buddy. Your channel pushed me and encouraged me to play in my local qualifier this year! I played alright and it was a great time. Didn’t move on but oh well. Keep those videos coming!
We’ve all been there, brother! Thank you for your honesty and your breakdown of that. I really enjoyed watching it. Didn’t enjoy watching a struggle, but I enjoy being along for the ride with you.
Thank you so much for posting a video of your disappointing day. I get lots of these, and it's helpful for me to learn from watching a better attitude to having a bad day. Appreciate it.
That’s a 1st time seeing George down on himself. He’s the most positive golfer I’ve ever seen! I’m a lot like him mentally! I wish I had his talent though. Your fans are because of your positivity, skills and incredible talent! Hang in there Buddy 💪
George, thank you for taking us on your journey, some bad shots that hurt you but as you say it's all a part of the learning experience. good luck as you continue on your journey.
For the majority of the holes you played solid, that's what you got to take with you to the next one. Some shots were a few yards off which gave you some tough putts on some of the greens and some of the tee shots put you in other weird situations. Keep going at it and you will succeed👍
Chalk it up to experience George. Credit to you for giving it a crack. Keep grinding and it will come. Great to see an honest video like this. We can all learn from your experiences.
Love your content! Best golf content creator out there. As a junior golfer, I will also compete in the junior world championship at Pinehurst number 6 on July 25-27. Keep up the amazing content!
George, if you see this, i just want to say i appreciate you sharing your insights on attitude and mindset. Its always an inspiration for me to work on my own. Much love ✌️
Same exact type of round happened to me at locals last week, 3 bad swings cost me 7 strokes. Hard to stay in a positive mind frame when you’re hitting it so solid and making a lot of those testy par putts, and then have a couple bad holes that cost you down the back 9. Next year baby!
Those greens were brutal. So fast and undulating. Your attitude was fine George. It's natural to lose interest a little when you know it's a forgone conclusion. Thanks for sharing the vid!
I was even through 8 in my US open qualifier a few weeks ago and then ran into some trouble off the tee on a hard golf course and ended up 5 over.. It just doesn't go your way sometimes, these golf courses are set up really hard for US open and you have to hit it well all day long.
Good to see all aspects of your journey.. interesting to hear you say putter felt great as from viewing if have you putting better with the odyssey… could be an interesting vlog to discuss why you went to LAB as I’ve used the same putter and felt I couldn’t keep it square which is the whole point of the putter 🙈🙈 keep going still believe in YOTB x2… 💥💥
Competitive golf is hard - way to keep fighting George. No doubt in my mind it will come and you will be rewarded for your hard work and determination.
Greens were giving you fits. One bad swing coming down the stretch. Just a little unlucky. Couple putts drop, ball bounces a little different and you have a great day!
I've noticed people who like to work the ball off the tee can start to get in trouble by leaving the ball too far to the right or left. It's more repeatable if you hit the ball straight off the tee. The same goes for iron shots. George has a gorgeous swing!
Keep it going George Im pulling for you brother. Very much enjoy all your videos you and Wesley. I envy you both and your banter back and forth. You guys have a great family also. See you on the tour soon.
I know the feeling took at PAT in Myrtle in 2012, the guy I was paired with "just wanted something fun" to do that weekend and decided to take a pat, he had to shoot at least 95, messed with me
Got My Olukai’s in, got say some of the most comfortable shoes I've worn right out the box they felt broke in, and broke 85 my first round in them 80 Soon!
Drove past it on the day of that crazy hail storm to play what was supposed to be a Pete Dye course next door. What a shit-hole it is. Don't even remember the name...
When a round is important, it'll always reach a point of no return if it isn't going well :( You did fantastic hanging on and staying patient waiting for something to happen; it just wasn't your day brotha. You played some fantastic golf and had some pretty rough breaks. Get em in the next one!
Once a pro reaches the point where his/her swings become mechanical and the outcomes are known and consistent the major hurdle then becomes the steely nerves needed in the round after a bad outcome. That, at any particular time in a competition, becomes the difference. Nice post George, hang in there sir.
Nothing better than a Bryan Bros video posted at lunch on a Monday to set the mood for the week! LFG!!!!
Hey thanks!!
Love it from England as well just finished my work day now time to chill at home with a cuppa and watch this 🔥
Disappointed we couldn't have a longer US open ride ... how about joining Peter Finch in a quest for THE open ?!
Man!! You must of been paired with the guy who shot 111 😮

So cool, I Like Freakin Goats as well! LFG
I wish every golf video on UA-cam was produced exactly like this. Great work.
The his is how Karl villips old videos were. Loved watching em
+39 is brutal…dude shouldn’t have even been there. Good on you for not losing it!
On usga that dude claims to be a plus 4 handicap
He must’ve lost a bet or something and entered false scores
@@J_pearce01or just a liar with too much pride 🤷♂️
His playing partner shot 39 over par??? I could beat that right now 😂😂
George - you are the man. Tons of respect for you and your game. Love the message during the tough moments. True professional and sportsman.
This type of video with your reflective commentary on how you handle the mental game is pure gold. Great stuff!
George & Wes are quality people. EVERYONE SHOULD SUBSCRIBE to these boys!
A video of George explaining his driver swing or how to hit a driver like George would be sick !!
Let’s ride!!!!
Love the humble attitude George. Appreciate how honest you are in how you felt and your attitude when things went bad. Like you said, press on and move forward. On to the next one!! Look forward to celebrating with you when you qualify in the next one. Let’s goooo!!
The Bryan Bros. And Grant Hovat put out such unbelievable golf content! For golfers of all stripes, they are in a class by themselves!!
Used to watch a lot of golf on the tv over the past 40 years or so, from European tour to Asian tour to Sunshine tour to Pga tour but this past few year's i only watch the majors and UA-cam golf, Bryan bros in particular.

Posting the good and bad is awesome. Humbling, I'm sure but a testimony that y'all are sharing it all.

Man it’s crazy to first watch you on big break show years ago to going for a us open. Keep pushing George you will get there bud
George, your attitude on the course and to golf in general is truly aspirational.
George, you were rolling the ball so much better with the odyssey
I was thinking the same exact thing
hard to disagree
Yea I was thinking the same thing too
Agree
Based on what? He was knocking in testers for par all day. He gave himself very few good looks for birdie. He was leaving the ball in bad spots all day.
We still love watching you George, we can all relate which is brings us back to the channel for more.. ❤
You did well with what you had that day. You had that one crazy out-of-the-jungle punchout and the tree-scuff, plus a lot of scrambling, and persevered well through it. Positioning on those greens is crazy too. Cheers G!
George Bryant is the only YT golfer I look forward to watching. Keep it up! Pulling for you big time!!
Your positivity before the round is incredible Gerge. Love to see it.
Hi George. You're my favorite UA-cam golfer.
Hey!!
@@BryanBrosGolfthat course was set up crazy difficult!

Dude, you are one GREAT driver of the golf ball.
Damn George! You got this! Easily good enough to be on the tour!! Head up not a bad round, your time is coming!

Bro, your zest for life is contagious. Never lose that.
Great job. You handled that really well. That swing of yours is gold, bro.
Goodluck George, i'm rooting for yah!!!!

Can I just say how great it is to see your Dad there with you. That says a lot to me.
very relatable video, i did the same thing in my qualifier, it’s so hard not to give up when you know your out of it
Nobody i'd rather root for in all of YT golf. Get it George!
Dude, you’re such a great inspiration for me. I love your attitude towards your game.
You are a humble man. Way to learn from the experience in order to improve.
Really good YT golf video. George is a very pleasant person; and quite a good player. Looking forward to seeing his future efforts.

Could you put the club your hitting with the rest of the info you have showing in the corner with the hole number and yardage and par?
George, thank you for taking us on your journey, some bad shots that hurt you but as you say it's all a part of the learning experience. good luck as you continue on your journey.
I was curious what you meant by a guy in your group put up a high score... 111 definitely qualifies. That had to be rough.
What in the world? Ego overcoming reality?
I checked it out too. The other pro in the group shot +5. Clearly affected both of them.
Micah is that you?
Definitely a reason to make cards by handicap or last 5 rounds handicap at least. That’s a rough day
@@taylorstrickland2482 yeah but look him up. He's a +4.8 with most rounds in the 60s with a nice 97C in there adjusted from the 111 he really shot
Great job George! Just keep going at it!

George, a question about your putter. Were you fitted for your LAB putter? I noticed it has a flatter lie, I think. Do you have a video?
