I think the main thing holding this chip back is the fact that by the time you can get it, you've had FoldrBak for like 20 hours minimum. Who the hell is giving up FoldrBak for 550 damage? In PvP FoldrBak is way stronger because of its turn interruption, and in PvE the only thing left to use it on is the souped up version of Alpha.
Ngl, this chip would've been a good giga chip. The problem is that 1) other Giga Chips like Folder Back, Flashman V5, Darkman V5, Bubbleman V5 and Plantman V5 exist in Blue Version and overshadowed it completely and 2) forced to use Dark Hole chips, Darkman chips and Dark License program to use it. Doesn't help that Darkman's navi chips are really busted in BN 3 to the point that running Giga Chips like Bass+ becomes kinda pointless.
Why would being forced to use Darkman be a bad thing? He’s a good chip with the added bonus that you can use chips that require dark holes 🕳️ as a bonus because he gives you one for free without having to waste a Navi custom part just to put in dark license or waste a chip slot to put in hole 🕳️.
i've a sheet right here, it is the highest notated damage value in battle network. Furthermore, if you count star force, which has a lot more inflated damage/health values, it's still the 2nd highest (tied with gorgonbreaker). Pretty impressive.
@@roaringthunder8069My bad I should have read more carefully, Single hit damage goes to muramasa which has a damage cap of 999. Now base damage Bass + it is the highest base damage in bn series
Sadly not a great chip. Even in terms of Bass chips in the X code with big numbers, BassGS is better in nearly every way. More big number, has actual range (even if it is a tad awkward to aim) which also wreaks havoc on the opponent's field, and the real killing bullet? It isn't a dark chip so it doesn't require a hole or a waste of customizer space. The only thing Bass+ has going for it is it doesn't require aiming. And I guess technically it would easier to get... If it wasn't for Legacy Collection letting you grab GS as soon as you start the game. So big lol.
I just realized the dark license is shaped like a bat.
Thats... Oh wow... Nice catch there.

That and the fact that you need to either dedicate an entire NC program to use it, or a few folder slots for panel-changing chips to allow using it.
@@Ningflingslinger Or just Use Darkman V1-2-3-4 lol... That chips secondary effect is to leave a dark hole in front of you.

"Forced to use Darkman chip" OH PLEASE... Like no one would want to use Darkman after row locking the opponent for maximum potential damage.

@@RazuX5 Darkman is the best chip. With only two area grabs, it both does good damage and bridges the gap for bass & serenade.
@@Hydrocannon I was in agreement with you btw.

As an aside, isn't this the single highest base damage of any non-event single-hit chip in the series?

Maybe I'm wrong but as far as I remember there's the final gun chip in 4.5 that deals 50 damage 12 times for a total of 600 damage

NGL i wish woodblade was * coded just so you could use it with bass+.
650 damage or more without needing to wait for the damn hole to open
The versions of those chips that you get via the number trader are * code.
@@roaringthunder8069 well color me stupid
All things considered it's a solid chip no real gimmicks tied to it.
Solid damage, Panel effects, and it tracks.
Great chip
Fr tho, ppl been using gimmicks for too long now and it shows
Will you cover Bass GX?

Confusingly, this is not a chip that boosts the power of Bass chips.
That + in the name is there to signify that it's just a navi chip but with extra steps.
what the music track?
