She speaks clearly...she makes sense.....her sentences are clear and concise...I wish all video masterclass violin teachers could be the same. Most of them time, they ramble on and on making their point (if they ever get that far) in way too many words, and therefore, it loses its impact on the intended student.
This masterclass is very helpful. I'm not planning on auditioning for the YTSO, but I've always had trouble with my trills in Mozart No. 5. It was nice to listen to a clear performance of that particular part. Thank you so much!
Maxine, thank you so much for such wonderful and beautiful playing and giving us an insight into the world of a first violinist. I am always so grateful for the huge amount of work musicians do to play at the top level. What a most beautiful violin. It is so sweet and yet powerful.
@TomQuags93 I usually use a menuhin swivel chinrest (it's no longer made) and it's on the violin I usually play in the LSO. This violin chin rest came with the violin, might be a Hill..
Let's see, who should I trust more on this issue? 1st violinist with the London Symphony Orchestra, or "gimaru1"? With comments like that, I'de be impressed if you could get anywhere in the arts - or any profession for that matter.

You first need to learn to trust yourself as you grow up
