1:47 Superman grabs hot rods of steel all day like they're spaghetti. 👍
With no gloves!
hU hhyyyyyy
i saw that and thought " they really cant come up with a way to just make one machine feed it to another machine?" like cmon lol. this guy is risking his hands.
And then feeds it around his workspace, preventing his own escape. Fearless.
@@vinn7944Excellent point, but then I guess he'd be out of work though🤷
1:47 i felt a great disturbance, as if millions of safety experts suddenly cried out in terror...
Its actually great that we can see how some countries or companies actually value human lives and well being
My anxiety went through the roof watching that......
Ngl either he has balls of steel or doesn’t care about his life whatsoever atp, either way that’s beyond dangerous
AT least, give him a bigger pair of plies, 😬😬🙄🤔👽
If the other end got caught in the machinery while he fed his end in.. well physics is no joke.
having worked in a steel mill in Kansas City back in the 90-early 2000's, it amazes and saddens me to see those guys working around hot steel with no safety equipment on. No aluminized coats, no steel toed shoes, no hearing protection, not even any safety glasses. That's why steel manufacturing left the US. dirt cheap wages and no OSHA. It's really a shame. I miss that job.
And went to Mexico Japan and China where the wages are even lower and osha is non existent
@@borbo23 *Companies* Not capitalists. Companies. If every nation had proper safety laws this wouldn't be an issue.
unfortunately most of the jobs went to the middle east and India. The quality isn't up to par to American standards
@@borbo23 No, actually they industrialized your country. Then they went somewhere else when your lifestyle got too rich in comparison to other people on this planet. Remember, nobody owes you anything in this world.
@@Jacob-vu2tilol Japan?
Wow! So the thumbnail wasn't clickbait at all! Awesome looking red-hot giant gear!
Not sure if this factory really is so amazing and hot as the title claims though.. ;p
Yeah for once.
It didn’t show it being made though
@@Forferdelse666 not hot? Try touching it 🤣
It's the first stage of a reduction gear. The reversed helical teeth minimize or negate unintended axial loads. This is likely as not being forged for the gear train of a steam turbine powered ship.
Don't be fooled by comments like "these are real men". Nope, real men want protection from foreseeable accidents. Putting one's self into unnecessary danger isn't noble. It's foolish. And it's a sign that this employer won't spend a few extra dollars for the safety of the men making him rich.
Not all countries have the same safety laws, unfortunately, but we all have the mental capacity to act safely.
@@tjgordon5 accidents don't tell us when it will happen
You prob a feminist
You probe gay
@Witha Marshview Real men figure out how to make the best of their circumstances so they can put food on the table. OFCOURSE saftey is important. I'm sure this factory isn't in the USA, however, it took a long time before mandatory regulations were put in place in the USA. During the industrial revolution things were not safe, it took time and organization from workers and goverment to change business models in favor of safety. That being said, factory work, industrial environments, or work with heavy machinery isn't safe. It takes attention and overall awareness no matter what country or industry you work in. In many cases you are as safe as the person working adjacent to you. Home power tools and ladders aren't safe either, but caution and skill can change that in ones favor.
First one seems unnecessarily dangerous, no barrier around the heaters. Imagine the guy giving directions gets distracted and trips and stumbles into the pit. They could have easily put a little barrier in between but they just left it exposed lol
That’s exactly what I was about to say. When they were lowering that giant gear into the other pit you can see one of the workers backing up. I’m sure it could easily turn bad really fast if he tripped over that tiny barrier into that furnace.
I think it's just hard to get a perspective of the distances. To me it looks like they had enough room to be safe, but it is hard to tell.
Its elevated
I've never worked it this field but it just seems odd to me, that people are still required to move the glowing metal by hand. Facinating none the less.
Modern set-ups can.
They might be electing not to. You see people in the same plant wearing PPE so it may be a choice by experienced workers who are confident enough in their skills that they know they wont burn themselves. I dont imagine those ablator gloves are comfortable...
@@megamiana-spaceforcecomman705 buddy. Using gloves is still doing it BY HAND.
And extremely dangerous.
Many of these people aren’t wearing any safety gear.
8:21 That has to be the most badass gas torch in the world.
i wish videos like this showed a full process from beginning to end, so you could see what something started as, and what actual end product it became, instead of just disjoint tiny bits of different things
These are the sort of jobs that make me delighted I was never in those industries.
Large scale forging has always amazed me. Seeing a crane with hooks three times as tall as a man pull out a gear the weight of a bus, in excess of 1250 Celsius effortlessly.
In our steel plant they lift pans with liquid steel weighing up to 480 tonnes
giant pit of what can be assumed to be molten metal from an arc furnace or other industrial scale heater: 2
people bumping around next to it: 3
number of guard rails: 0
They were literally walking backwards towards it. Gave me anxiety watching it.
😂
1:47 how nonchalantly he grabs those. 😳
I wonder if constant heat exposure even with all the gear can take a health toll over time.
Very interesting! But I would not want to work in a hot metal factory. I salute the workers there!
What I’ve always wondered:
Who builds these machines, that build and forge the metal for other machines??
same thoughts
Check out the youtube channel "primitive technology". You go back far enough and it's just cavemen banging rocks together.
Smaller machines, built by smaller machines, built by smaller machines
Please tell me that I'm not the only one who watched the press and thought, "man that is one GIANT wok"
I just want to sit down with these guys for a month and learn everything
modern technology: people grabing hot steel almost barehanded and waving them around dangerously into tiny holes
Meanwhile in my lab I have to wear a full lab coat, goggles, gloves, and face shield to handle 10% HCl.
Lol true labs are scum
These are REAL men doing REAL work.
Machining is a skill, hot working is insanity.
i couldn't agree more.
In the US, these guys would not be wearing tank tops or no PPE. It's crazy how other countries don't protect their employees or provide protective equipment to keep them safe. It looks fun though. And the processes are pretty cool!!!
Wow, the guy in the grey vest was wearing some top notch protective gear! 😏
1:00 - 2:27 "OSHA? Never heard of her!" XD
6:14 "Sure, I'm welding in an enclosed space with my face right above the work, but the upbeat music makes it worthwhile!" XD Sorry, I crack myself up.
This channel is a legend thumbnail had me saying that can not be real and you started the video with proving me wrong! well done!
Not all hero's wear capes!!
Приятно смотреть за рабочими процессами,люди труда,рабочий класс...,сам работал на заводе...
Dang! OSHA would not approve. Looks like a good way to get 3rd degree burns on a daily basis.
The sign on the wall says '23 days without a hideous burn'
How come these works don’t even have protective gloves or face shields, clothings working with hot metals.
Don’t they have regulations or law to protect works ?
Yes, crazy
They don't need it. They are real man. No feminists work there. Yes it's hard but it's what it is.
@@ykd0011 wow, you must be a real manly man. Very cool.
Protective contact lenses for eyewear maybe !
They also need ear protection
Них у я себе! Нет кликбейта! Первое же видео показывает то, что было на заставке. Я аж в шоке немного!
Thus is amazing. There really are people actually working on valuable things, instead of dicking around on mobile phones and coding gaming software or writing essays about which bathroom to use.
Dang, that looks like some dangerous work, props to these guys , they make it look casual 😅 very interesting how they do all this
1:45 So what do you do for a living?
"I manufacture lightsaber blades."
Wow! That sounds fascinating!!
"Eh, it's a job."
Tjats what i tjought lol
규모가 어마어마하네요

8:20 what supervillain made this tool? 😁 Metallurgy is amazing.
Prob some random german engineer genius
It’s crazy the amount of stuff that happens in other countries, and were usually told it’s because it’s not possible to do it here it’s too expensive…yeah because the countries that are making it have next to no safety standards.
That is what a Foundry is. Converting hot metal into usable items. Although as you said it looks like a serious incident waiting to happen. Where I work there is on a rare ocassion burns even with PPE...
1:00 Ah, the rarely seen Sith Lightsaber factory.
That factory reminds me of Mordor
Only for the brave !

1:47 real man of steel
Non clickbait thumbnail! I can't believe how excited I was to know that
Actually thought the thumbnail was a Plumbus for a second
My hats off to the people who have the balls to do this kinda work 👍
I’d probably fall in to the giant heating pit 0:30.
@@CaptainMoroni19 We both would
Is obviously the workers dont have an idea of whats is a safety requirements
Finally, not a clickbait
Modern technology my ass, that scene where no safety gear is worn by anyone and no safety procedures handling those hot parts
Not to mention the very first clip where anyone could fall into an open furnace and die instantly. Not even a safety rail!
@@anikeshprasad3171 A guard rail for starters?! You're the stupid one if you think anything like that would be allowed in any western country.
@@TheGodpharma can you please elaborate
Anikesh Prasad What did I say that isn’t clear? It would be easy to fall into that furnace, by accident. The design is unbelievable with no barrier of any kind to prevent accidents. You would never see anything like that in Europe or North America or any western country.
@@TheGodpharma oh
so its like chopsticks? the better you are the smaller tool you need?

I could watch this stuff for days.
Now I know why China make everything, incredible industrial skills.
I wish they would label what the machines are making. Great video tho.
You'd better wear gloves, uncle.
Sometimes you just see a thing and you feel hot lol. Everytime I see ANY footage of steel plants or whatever, it just seems like everything is hot
What I find amazing is the lack of guard rails in that metal factory.
1:07 star wars sword's..
You mean lightsabers?
Lightsabers u idiot
1:45 This guy has been doing the same job so long that he doesn't even need safety gear.
Right at the beginning, do they not have rails for those pits of death? This feels like some kinda star wars no rails moment in real life...
1:47 if the end of the rod got stuck in the first machine it would cut the man in two when the second machine pulls it in.
2:00 adam eliyle tutuyor sandım 😁
İzlerken burası kesin Türkiyedir dedim.. Sonra baktım duvarda ERCAN yazıyor.. 😁😁🔥
Thanks for the video! Those guys have a dangerous job. I've seen a lot of the 'fails' videos of these places going up in flames if something goes wrong. Good to see the machines and men in action.
Super videos ! 👍
Wow....
World Of Wonder indeed.
8:47 that's some W40K techpriest weapon right there.
OMG why NO PPE!!!!!! seriously? at 0:58 you can tell that is not the US
Those workers are ultimate , no fear and great technique
also no safety equipment at all. not very smart.
you dont need to be smart, you have to be fearless
@@PivotStickmanAnimations lmao talk about a quick death
It’s crazy the hot metal don’t burn the metal
So thats how they make light sabers
😂😂😂
Okay this video deserve a respet
I love that third world PPE. Those cotton shirts really reflect that molten steel.
Can only imagine how it would look with the lights off
guy looked like a 50-60yr old jedi master with those tongs...
This is what every older person tells you they did back in the war or something lol nowadays you gotta use safety gear. Some of this is just foolish pride to look tough
Girls too.
"Modern Technology" : A bunch of dudes in t-shirts moving things 5 feet by hand.
Another video that could be named "Amazing unsafe steel making practices" as how many are not wearing any safety equipment at all and machinery looks like old US company machinery that was shipped out to other countries!
Wonderful channel
What gas is being used at 8.48 ? is it mixed with another and under what pressure is the flow?
Man I love the sparks or embers coming them *The Pit*
Hey add compressed air to help rod metal of impurities and also add strength to exterior.
That older gentleman badass grabbing hot steel with no protective gear.
Many of these workers are insufficiently protected.
The fire we see in the first minute is that made from coal or is it made from plasma?
Thanks for information about the hotmetal factory
What are in 6:31-6:45 and 8:20-9:12? Look like they are kind of welding. If they are, what kind of welding are they?
