- Talk about a hot gimmick! Versed #Skincare kinda came out of nowhere to me, and after watching Susan Yara's review of the line, one thing caught my attention: the SPF. She gave it a decent review, but I wanted to put it TO THE TEST and give it a BRUTALLY HONEST review. Doing my standard 3 day wear test with different makeup and skincare combinations, I put the #Versed #GuardsUpDailyMineralSunscreen BROAD SPECTRUM SPF 35 to my 4 Bs rigorous testing rubric. This sunscreen applies very weirdly. BUT after playing with it I’ve realized you have to apply it very specifically. Don’t stop rubbing. Keep it moving constantly and keep rubbing in circular motions until the serum/vehicle evaporates. This sunscreen is very thin and fluid and so it has to evaporate quite a bit before it’s ready to settle down. It looks “streaky” because it’s a mineral sunscreen in a thin serum vehicle. It requires constant movement to help it dry down and blend better. I hated this at first and thought it was really weird but now I love it.
Honestly most mineral sunscreens suck. So when I see one even remotely good I get excited lol

Right? Application of this one is not a good time! Rough. Literally and figuratively. Even before I'm done applying it all I'll get these little patches that just won't blend in, it'll just "bunch up" and move around.
We have almost the exact same skin tones so I am so grateful for your videos. Trying them on against your skin tone (it's hard to find youtubers with similar) and reapplying is what makes the channel stand out. Thank you!

I also experienced the tackiness with this sunscreen, but spraying a mist a few minutes after it sets resolved the problem for me. I was wondering why my makeup was pilling!
That’s good to know and keep in mind! Idk if you’ve seen any of my other videos, but this sunscreen gave me a HORRIBLE reaction so I unfortunately won’t be trying it again, but that’s a great tip to keep in mind with future sunscreen tests. What mist did you use/which do you recommend?

hiiiii i live in the Caribbean and its always hot/humid the only sunscreen that works for my acne-prone skin with minimal greasy feel or look to the skin is the rockey mountain soap co sunscreen SPF 31 ! consistency is very thick however if u layer it up over its bearable also it's not white like most sunscreen it does have a tint to it which is perfect for my nc30 skin tone ! not sure if it would work under makeup because i don't wear makeup

For that price you can two sunscreens of that size from many Korean of Japanese brands. That’s a lot for drug store and for that size. People are more savvy these days. If it performed perfectly then ok it would have that going for it.
exactly! Plus, it gave me the worst allergic reaction afterwards. I'm still not recovered from it. Not a good formulation at all. I'm not sure why this sunscreen is so popular. I'd only recommend this for someone with dry skin who wears absolutely no makeup and has no facial hair.
Yes! With mineral sunscreens, you pay more for lower SPF, a noticeable white cast, and a thick, greasy feel.

I'm going to be honest and say no. I've heard very varying results on this sunscreen and by itself it's not completely moisturizing enough for dry skin, and paired with heavy skincare it wasn't a fun texture either.

Glow By Ramón omg yay! Well im looking for a mineral sunscreen that i can wear daily under makeup. This was on my list but thanks to you im skipping! I also have the biossance on my list and the farmacy one on my list. I just bought the Kopari one but i would love to see what you think about it! Also Bare Republic gel lotion. I know you recommended some of the korean ones but theyre not always easy to get so im looking for something a little more accessible that if i ever need to i can stop by the store and pick up on the quicks. I know i just threw alot at you but these are just products that im interested in but I would be glad to see any of your recommendations regardless! Thanks! 🥰
Rebeca Hernandez these are great options! I have the biossance one on it ways, but I haven’t looked at the farmacy one yet! I tend to focus on more budget friendly option since I think sunscreen is a necessity and i want to find more easily accessible choices. I’ll definitely look at some of the other ones on your list though. Biossance is a top priority right now!

I just bought this because it was fungal acne safe. Can you please do a video on fungal acne safe products? I cleared my fungal acne in July but i still maintain a fungal acne sage routine just to be safe and it’s SO hard to find a FA safe sunscreen and moisturizer! For sunscreen right now I use DRMTLGY Tinted moisturizer

I have a deeper skin town like Fitzpatrick V. This had a white cast on me. I hated it and it will be returned.
I’ve tried the cerave too and hated it. My experience with this one was also bad. The most success I’ve had with mineral sunscreen that I can confirm is dark skin friendly is the Cocokind sunscreen I reviewed. I’ve also seen some success with the Truecica sunscreen on my channel as well from deep akin individuals, and the Kinship spf! Those are worth giving a shot if you want to stick to mineral formulas

Have you tried Asian or European formulations? I know the filters we use in the US have the tendency to irritate sensitive skin, but these are more outdated filters. The newer Asian ones are better in quality and don't have as high of likelihood of irritating (Tinosorb S is a great example)

Ooooh that'd be a good idea. I definitely don't like the DE sunscreens at ALL, so anything can be better tbh in my opinion lol. Lemme find options that I actually like, and THEN I'll make that video, but I really do like that concept.
