    Great video! The SPF 40 sensitive one is my holy grail favorite. I love it for my dry skin even though I don't have sensitive skin. The formula is beautiful. I really don't like the primer one, but I could see how some people might like it with different skin types. :) Also, so few people ever talk about Cotz mineral sunscreens! Great video! Thank you!

    these sunscreen reviews are SO helpful! Especially for sunscreen brands that make a variety of products and it can be hard to tell them apart. Have you tried any coola products? I'm especially interested in the mineral formulations because my skin is sensitive to chemical sunscreens.

    Thank you for the review! I first tried the Cotz Pure Botanicals, but it’s a bit on the oily side, and it’s more for the body. I absolutely love the sensitive formula, and just purchased the Prime and Protect and Sport. They sent a sample of the Flawless Complextion too. Love your in depth reviews!

    Great review as always! I agree with your last point in simple and short ingredient list might mean less chances of irritation.
    I have very sensitive and acne prone skin and most things break me out. I've been using Elta MD UV physical and haven't had any problems even on my worst skin days. It's just a basic tinted mineral sunscreen with minimal ingredients in it.
    Then I tried the Paula's Choice tinted mineral sunscreen, it's also fragrance free but has a lot more "skin loving" ingredients and every time I try it it breaks me out.
    I just got the Cotz tinted SPF 50 and haven't tried it yet. Hopefully it won't cause any irritation for me

      The Elta MD pills on me and it's very drying. The Paula's Choice one applies really smoothly and has almost no cast on my medium to tan skin. I was really bummed that it broke me out

    I’m such a fan of sunscreen now thanks to you, Hyram, and Dr. Dray. Can you review the new Versed sunscreen? I’m very curious about it since it looks like it would be people of color friendly. I prefer mineral sunscreens but of course hard to find one that doesn’t leave a prominent cast. Currently using MDSolarScience and although I enjoy it, it can leave a purple hue to my skin. Thanks for sharing and love your top! 💙💚💜

    8:00 I think CoTZ labels their INCI based on alphabetical order instead of %, which is pretty annoying since you can't tell what the main base of the SPF is. It's most likely dimethicone or another silicone, but in this case of finding out the potency of Vitamin C and E, you can't really tell. I think SPFs are exempt from the standard form of denoting INCI lists because they're sold as an OTC drug as opposed to a regular cosmetic in the USA

    Ive been using the Flawless complexion since last summer and it leaves no cast on brown skin. I just hate that it makes me look greasy. I have normal to dry skin & like a nice dewy look but this looks like someone put a magnifier on my pores. So Im looking for a mineral spf that doesnt have me shiny with a better price point.

  • @EBreezyB

    @ 6:00 you mention the two products are so similar. The tinted SPF 40 has too much pigment on my fair skin as opposed to the lightly tinted SPF 35 - big enough difference it is important for the brand to sell both. Glad they have been selling both for so long.

    Hey, thanks for the review. I’ve using the tinted spf 40 sunscreen primer for some times. It’s very nice since I have tan skin tone and it looks natural and not greasy at all. But one thing I hate is to reapply this sunscreen. It peels off the previous layer so easily/badly. I’d rather not to reapply using this. I don’t know how to properly deal with this situation. Have you tried? Please let me know if you feels the same

    • @AbbeyYung
      @AbbeyYung  4 роки тому +2

      It’s definitely not ideal for reapplication! Kind of works best for me as a base layer & then I’ll use others to reapply

    Thanks for your great videos! When you say that the Cotz Sensitive has a "traditional sunscreen feel", what do you mean? The sunscreens I've tried have varied a lot in how they feel, so I don't really know what a traditional sunscreen feel is.

    • @AbbeyYung
      @AbbeyYung  4 роки тому

      So I’m picturing the sunscreens I used to use on my body growing up! Ocean Potion is what we always had. Not super thin & runny, but also not thick in the way that some mineral sunscreens can be! Right in between- medium thickness, feels really nice to blend out!
