Hi Eric Beautiful video man ,but be careful with flyin low over water without a flotation device or a life west .One of my ppg friends drowned 2 meters from the pier .The engine had a low fueltank with approx half tank ,and the engine turned him down in the water unable to get loose. By the time people got to save him (less than 5 Min) it was to late...and a flotation does not take away the fun of flyin close to water .Blue skies man and keep up the fun part ;-)Greetings from Norway

Is it possible to attach a paragliding wing to a trike or quad platform rather than a back pack engine, which doesn't really look comfortable.

I never had the nerve to waterski when I used to paraglide. I guess because I know I'd drown in a second if I went in. I did however "crop surf" which is good fun and challenging considering I'd have to walk out of the middle of a cornfield if I went in.
I love crop surfing! The water is my favorite, but I wear at least two flotation devices when I do it!

How often do the engines cut out on these things? I imagine it failing over water or trees is pretty bad, even life threatening, how do you prevent that?
All depends on what kind of motor you're flying. I'm very blessed with the ones I have now. Very reliable... And if they do quit, I have a glider above my head ready to fly :)
If you fly above water then you should have a flotation device equipped.

I fly a Nirvana Instinct 230 now... It burns just under 3 liters per hour... Making it ridiculously awesome ;)

The furthest I've flown in a stretch is around 100 miles... You could go further but you'd need to refuel!

We had installed pylons with a height of 12 meters. We don't need pylons anymore. Ready to sell them for half the price.
On the pylons there are loops for advertising. It is possible to make the backlight inside the pylon.

+Jarod Morris more likely then not the prop sticking out is from sticking a different engine on a existing frame - I'm a novice PPC pilot so the question should be differed to our host here
PPG's can only fly in class g airspace :)
incorrect :) We can also fly in Class A, Class B, Class C, Class D and E airspace with prior permission.

Absolutely Luis! Unpowered paragliding is extremely accessible in Southern CA. Torrey Pines in San Diego is a huge flying spot for soaring. Santa Barbara has a couple of schools. Check out Eagle Paragliding (dot com)
Unpowered paragliding (free-flying) will teach you a lot of the skills you'll need for powered paragliding. Or you can give BlackHawk Paramotors a call and come up to their ranch here in NorCal and learn to fly motors from the get-go! I guarantee you'll have a blast either way :)
But flying is not easy in paramotor.
It is with good training :)
