Is it just me, or is every live performance that Ed does so much better than the studio version? I feel like every live video I see of him performing just gets better and better. So much passion and emotion. I'm 192cm 100kg dude and makes me cry everytime for no reason.
I try not to be envious of people but I draw the line at absolute pure talent & beautiful people. Writing lyrics & music & the ability to pick up an instrument & play is so damn impressive to me ❤ from Australia
I guess people can say what they want but when this dude gives it.. HE GIVES IT. Could really care less about the album stuff, but when it's just him and a guitar I'm all in. Sure I don't like modern music and I'm biased to early music (born in 88') however I'll admit when something feels good and genuine. Also playing and singing these songs make just about any decent girl weak at the knees, especially when you do it right. (That sounded way dirtier than I intended, my apologies)
When I was six years old I broke my leg I was running from my brother and his friends And tasted the sweet perfume of the mountain grass I rolled down I was younger then, take me back to when I Found my heart and broke it here Made friends and lost them through the years And I've not seen the roaring fields in so long, I know I've grown But I can't wait to go home I'm on my way Driving at ninety down those country lanes Singing to "Tiny Dancer" And I miss the way you make me feel, and it's real We watched the sunset over the castle on the hill Fifteen years old and smoking hand-rolled cigarettes Running from the law through the backfields and getting drunk with my friends Had my first kiss on a Friday night, I don't reckon that I did it right But I was younger then, take me back to when We found weekend jobs, when we got paid We'd buy cheap spirits and drink them straight Me and my friends have not thrown up in so long, oh how we've grown But I can't wait to go home I'm on my way Driving at ninety down those country lanes Singing to "Tiny Dancer" And I miss the way you make me feel, and it's real We watched the sunset over the castle on the hill Over the castle on the hill Over the castle on the hill One friend left to sell clothes One works down by the coast One had two kids but lives alone One's brother overdosed One's already on his second wife One's just barely getting by But these people raised me and I can't wait to go home And I'm on my way, I still remember This old country lanes When we did not know the answers And I miss the way you make me feel, it's real We watched the sunset over the castle on the hill Over the castle on the hill Over the castle on the hill
And so many people in the music industry told him he couldn't do it, didn't have the right look etc. How many others would have tried to change to fit the mould? Or, would have just given up?
I caught the replay and thought THIS acoustic version should have been the version they put on the album. Very different compared to the "album" version. Peace
When you sing higher the sound resonates in your head. Trained singers know how to support their voice through their core and good breath control so they can hit high notes easily. It can’t be done through sheer force, but practice and training over time.
Howard Stern's sound guy needs a serious raise. Every single performance sounds 🔥
Ed truly gives everything when he performs. Doesn't matter if its Wembley or on a radio show or whatever. Really my biggest inspiration and idol. | ÷
Rw wR Howard Stern ain't just a "radio" show..
@@Kstang2790 was abt to say the same XD
You should watch Corey Taylor unplugged
These acoustic versions of Castle On The Hill are the most emotional. I love them so much ♥️♥️♥️
Xggvccggggfcvxc
nice
Man, I don't really follow Ed Sheeran but every time I come across a live performance like this he absolutely blows me away.
he´s a fraud , plagiarist
Is it just me, or is every live performance that Ed does so much better than the studio version? I feel like every live video I see of him performing just gets better and better. So much passion and emotion. I'm 192cm 100kg dude and makes me cry everytime for no reason.
I love this song so much. Definitely one of my favorites off the album!
RJ Dennis bro, you should listen to perfect
Orlando Natapradja he probably knows that song lol, that’s why he said one of his favs
This performance made me a fan
Me to
Jonathan ricot same I have a new found respect for him 👍
He's got serious gift for melody that chorus is beautifully worked
Ed just sounds the same everytime. Doesn't matter where or when he performs. Just awesome.
I try not to be envious of people but I draw the line at absolute pure talent & beautiful people. Writing lyrics & music & the ability to pick up an instrument & play is so damn impressive to me ❤ from Australia
Amazing simply amazing. I tried to cover this track, im no way close to Ed Sheeran. he has great energy, great voice.
Ed is a GREAt performer. Springsteen is a poet, with all the beauty and pain, and risk.
I feel like I want to leave a comment, but I'm speechless...
mr4x4s SAME 💙
mr4x4s I’m speechless and crying ♥️
......
This guy is truly amazing
Most beautiful meaningful song ever.
Not a huge Ed Sheeran fan, but holy shit was this impressive. Even if I don't really enjoy his stuff, he's still an incredibly talented musician.
This is my favourite version of this beautiful song. 💙
Wow. This guy is Fn good. His voice is a musical instrument.
Perfect... Great singer, undoubtedly
Stunning Performance
Probably the most talented voice in a very long time. It’s hard to think of someone that’s affected me the way his voice has
He’s such a gift to mankind ❤️
I like this version a lot more than the album version. Dude is talented through n through for sure!
Loooooooovvvvvve it. What a performance 👌👌
He's a super smooth fella👐👐👍🏴
I had never heard of ed prior to listening to him on HS. Great interview, great song!
😂 Surprising. He's been in the charts in the UK countless times
One of best musicians of all time
lol
God damn he can fuckin sing!
Simply fantastic.
what a talent
Favorite Ed Sheeran song
If I had Ed's voice I'd be serenading girls all the time with it lol
Brother you don't need Ed's voice. Just sing from the bottom of your heart and act like no one's there.
U can u just need lot of practice
You could practice
This song gives me goose bumps
When Ed Sheeran is being Ed Sheeran!! Love it!!!😍
So much better than any other version. Stripped down and amazinfb
People ask me what kind of music i like, so i answer:
Rock,grunge,alternative and Ed Sheeran :)
I guess people can say what they want but when this dude gives it..
HE GIVES IT. Could really care less about the album stuff, but when it's just him and a guitar I'm all in.

Better than the studio version. Awesome!
love this song!
Wow I wanna watch the whole interview!
When I was six years old I broke my leg
I was running from my brother and his friends
And tasted the sweet perfume of the mountain grass I rolled down
I was younger then, take me back to when I
Found my heart and broke it here
Made friends and lost them through the years
And I've not seen the roaring fields in so long, I know I've grown
But I can't wait to go home
I'm on my way
Driving at ninety down those country lanes
Singing to "Tiny Dancer"
And I miss the way you make me feel, and it's real
We watched the sunset over the castle on the hill
Fifteen years old and smoking hand-rolled cigarettes
Running from the law through the backfields and getting drunk with my friends
Had my first kiss on a Friday night, I don't reckon that I did it right
But I was younger then, take me back to when
We found weekend jobs, when we got paid
We'd buy cheap spirits and drink them straight
Me and my friends have not thrown up in so long, oh how we've grown
But I can't wait to go home
I'm on my way
Driving at ninety down those country lanes
Singing to "Tiny Dancer"
And I miss the way you make me feel, and it's real
We watched the sunset over the castle on the hill
Over the castle on the hill
Over the castle on the hill
One friend left to sell clothes
One works down by the coast
One had two kids but lives alone
One's brother overdosed
One's already on his second wife
One's just barely getting by
But these people raised me and I can't wait to go home
And I'm on my way, I still remember
This old country lanes
When we did not know the answers
And I miss the way you make me feel, it's real
We watched the sunset over the castle on the hill
Over the castle on the hill
Over the castle on the hill
someone: ,,everybody needs autotune nowadays"
Ed: ,,hold my beer"
Yep !!!!

I like this.
talent
This is pure Talent 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
TALENT🤘
Amazing.
😢 Damn that man...
It seems like whenever a guest is done singing that the only thing Howard says is "Beautiful" and that's it.
I think he is truly talented
And so many people in the music industry told him he couldn't do it, didn't have the right look etc. How many others would have tried to change to fit the mould? Or, would have just given up?
Love Ed
its also kind of reminiscent of summer of '69 by Bryan Adams
I always thougt it would be nice to sing like Ed Sheeran. But now I want to Play guitar like him.
Am speechless
Wow.
So stinking pure Ed!
I caught the replay and thought THIS acoustic version should have been the version they put on the album. Very different compared to the "album" version. Peace
John Weichselberger I agree with you 😍
Much different....Waaaaaaaaay better
I don’t understand how to sing high and let your voice break like that without cracking.... it’s like it’s either laminar or squeaky.
When you sing higher the sound resonates in your head. Trained singers know how to support their voice through their core and good breath control so they can hit high notes easily. It can’t be done through sheer force, but practice and training over time.
I always have some kind of BEER taste when I listen to this, I don't really know if that makes sense, but its true
very nice
How can people say he is overated fucking kid worked his ass of from you tube to mainstream sucess & is an amazing singer song writter
great
BRUUUUUUUUUUUUUCE
I really wants his guitar
Nice live version. NJ Parkin
💓💓💓💓
Reminds me of his earlier stuff. The better stuff.
Thanks for curing my insomnia
Is that a Martin guitar?
interesting he has his eyes closed nearly the whole performance it seems. not sure if that's how he is or what.
He does that alot
Very common among musicians. Easy way to put yourself back in your room and just play stress free
Most musicians do that
It's like one of those anime scenes where they close their eyes and sing so everything looks dramatic
its his way to get into, probably helps him imagine the story behind the song in his head. give him more rawness and emotion
*damn*
Sounds like Tracy Chapman
Needed beetlejuice duet lol
Bet Ed could write one great song called “spell red”
i want to fuckin playing guitar like Ed, and i want to fuckin sing like Ed Voice. but holly shit i can't to do it. its so very fuckin hard.
Anyone form 2021
The fool on the hill
first omg
nice only
I can imagine what he's singing.
Guy’s unreal
Did Buddy Holly just came in? Wow!!!!
😯
He strums so fucking fast
🌈
i really don’t get how people actually listen to him
:')
This guy blows fuses...

Sounds like country music - these days.
