Wow! I`m really amazed that you had to experienced the old tradition of planting and harvesting rice in the Philippines since time immemorial! Yes, the old traditional carabao is the king of the rice field. Up to now, majority (around 90%) of farmers in the entire Philippines are still using carabaos to tend and harvest their rice fields. I highly appreciated that you get to experience riding on one of the carabao...savor and enjoy the slow and comfort of riding to one of Gods miracle worker animal in the planet. Love ytou guys! 🙂
Am so happy you chose to exploremy province Nueva Ecija, may you enjoy your time here and welcome. Minor correction Jelena: that is a carabao, our national animal, not a COW.
The scene carabao crossing the river with your kids and you was breathtaking! Thats fantastically beautiful! Areal view using drone was magical. Carabao are gentle water buffalo. They have been a great support to our farmers. Very tamed and reliable. I totally enjoyed it and brings smile to all of us. I remeber my time when I was kid in the province.

Like the cow or horse in other countries, the water buffalo (carabao) is the Beast of Burden for the Philippines. You can feel its power as you ride it. When I watch this video, it brings me back to my childhood days when visiting my grandparent's farm. Enjoy your time in the Philippines.
It was a nice/good experience for you and the kids. Rice fields in Nueva ecija are one of the most good rice producers in the Philippines.. It seems that you really had a great time riding the carabao❤❤❤.God bless you and your kids. 🙏
No carabao is a farm worker, so it is peaceful. The only problem you can't allow carabao to walk under the heat of the sun they want, mostly in water, we call it the water, Buffalo. I missed my province. The background is the Sierra Madre mountain.
That maybe the reason u felt it a bit warm (8:38mins). Thats why they call it water buffalo, thanks for info. Try carabao milk, too. It is very tasty esp. when fresh!
