You're absolutely right tho, Bryce stepping up in the pocket and delivering dimes was something I hadn't seen before this year. That simple fact, impresses me the most about his development.

Fantastic analysis! I especially appreciated the use of Tompkins to stretch the field / attract the safety for the Moore catch around 6:00.

@@PanthersAdvice but hey slow and steady wins the race we can win this division next season and we can mess up Tampa Bay and Atlanta playoff hopes like we did to Arizona Sunday and Detroit two years ago I love being the villain in this situation

This game was essentially the Panthers against themselves. It was good to see the team bounce back after a blowout loss, and get right back to where they were before Dallas.

    1. If anything this game really highlighted our need for at least one more really dominant receiver as much as any game I’ve seen despite the win. A lot of those scrambles, and for much of the game our receivers had no separation and Bryce was really just putting balls on the money. We need a guy who can lineup on the outside and get open consistently.
    2. I love your point talking about the David Moore catch and Deven Tompkins. That speed forces the safety to take that extra 5 yards in coverage and lets David slip under the zone. Bryce now making those types of throws and being aggressive downfield is changing the way defenses are forced to play us.
    3. Our defense is our defense and it’s a good thing we have a lot of draft picks this year. Need a safety badly especially considering Jordan Fuller was a healthy scratch.

Jordan Fuller was outplayed by Damani Richardson by a long shot and Damani is not good either. QBs actually have a perfect rating of 158.3 when they target fuller. It is that bad.
I 100% agree that we need someone who can beat man or just press coverage. AT is good but hes past his prime and he mostly turns on his slow jets when the play really matters. He just uses tricks from his bag to get open on younger guys who aren't used to someone flipping their hips the wrong way with veteran moves.

@ I’m not even really solid on Xavier woods either, he’s just not that great on the back end in coverage. He gave up so big touchdowns last week in deep zones that he definitely could’ve made plays on. I think he’s a high effort guy who gets around the ball a lot but often is more of a liability in coverage than he is a strong point. We have been missing a long rangy safety who can play boundary to boundary for a long time. Kyle Hamilton/jessie bates type of safety, in style if not performance lol

Good work. The concern for next year is - can he do it when he has a tough line coming at him. Better talent and skill posiitions may help

He did it against KC and the eagles. He can do it. He’s just got to keep racking up the consistent performances.
