- In a league where it's so easy to write quarterbacks off if they're not instantly stars, you need stories like this. Bryce Young went from a phenom to a bust, if was left up to the sports world. He was never a bust. Appreciate him. Appreciate Dave Canales. Panthers fans, you have your QB1 and your head coach for the future. #sports #sportsnews #nfl #collegefootball #bryceyoung #davecanales #carolinapanthers

Ball up top.
Much respect from a couple of diehard Panthers fans over here 🤝
Appreciate you!
Bryce and Canalas gonna be hell going forward! Get them a defense and it's over for the NFC South.

Bryce and Canales are turning our team into boring "sweet little Chrisitans" with zero swagger. If I was playing, I would say get me the heck off this religious nutjob team / locker room. He uses faith and God in EVERY SINGLE COMMENT TO MEDIA. It isn't cute and as a anti-god / religion person, I hate it.
@@Amped4Life He can believe in the flying spaghetti monster or leprechauns for all I care... As long as he keeps playing like he is and getting better; All I care about is what he does on the field.
Not to mention all the dropped balls by his WRs. If not for those Bryce numbers would be even better. And we win 3 of those games. I like where this team is headed.
We dropped (we, yeah right) 24 passes this year. WR, TE and RB combined. About 1.5 per game. Browns dropped 44 (most). Eagles dropped 7 (least). Three playoff teams had 32 drops. Cowboys, Bears, Cards, etc. had several fewer than us. Doesn't look like there's a correlation between dropped passes and on field success, except at the extremes (Browns and Eagles). If we had dropped zero passes, Bryce's completion rate would've gone up 6.2%, which isn't trivial but he would still be in the lower echelon of Comp%. I think it has more to do with which passes are dropped instead of how many. XL dropping the presumptive go ahead TD is more onerous than him dropping a 10 yd over the middle.
Great content from a Panthers fan! Thanks for this, I couldn't agree with you more! Some of the throws BY has made since he came back from his benching has blown my mind. He has shown that the talent is there, and the confidence is coming back! It was certainly knocked out of him last year and the start of this year.
As you say, his stats won't show how good he has been playing, but the one thing you didn't say was that Bryce Young is as tough as nails. That hit that you said when he lowered his shoulder got us a 1st down. One of the Panthers guards, Robert Hunt was miked up when he took that hit, and gave BY a lot of praise for it. Again, great stuff!
Thank you! The future is so bright for y’all! Always believed in Bryce and I’m glad people do too now. It’s only the beginning!
Coming to this after the ATL game, yeah he’s here
As much as many owe Bryce an apology, the sports media world hardcore owes the Panthers an apology. Mel Kiper, Rex Ryan, Rich Eisen, the entire The Facility desk among others never apologized to the Panthers for the teardown of the organization after benching Bryce, which was well earned and I, as someone who actually watched weeks 1&2 (unlike the aforementioned very obviously didn't) said.
Also the media immediately started demanding a Bryce trade and trying to speak it into existence, which I as someone who has watched enough football knew not to overreact and thought Bryce would have a chance to turn it around at some point and that trading him then would have been a terrible decision.
So the Panthers deserve a big apology that they haven't received from anyone outside of Ochocinco and McAfee, and Bryce deserves an apology from the overreactionary peeps online. Luckily I'm measured in my sports takes and don't need to take anything back. 😁
Great vid though, love you getting on peeps about that, there were a lot of people talking like Bryce would be looking for work at a temp agency come next offseason.
Absolutely bro. I was actually shocked because their front office has historically not made the best decisions post-Cam. So to watch this whole process from the outside was intriguing. Bryce has been a winner his whole life, but he learned a new lesson. I never turned on him, just wanted the best situation. As a Bama alum.
@ayejayhubb 💯 the truth. Rhule was awful when he took over, and got even worse when we hired Fitterer as GM to pair with him. I can only imagine that Fitterer stayed on last year to do the bidding of the owner. The best thing Tepper could have done was hire a promising young GM (Dan Morgan) and let him hire a promising young coach and reconstruct the roster, and otherwise f off, which is seemingly the case.
With Morgan and Canales, and not to mention long time Chiefs VP of Football ops Brandt Tilis, it's a brand new FO and should be treated as one. But it isn't, and the big guys on TV like to bring up not trading Brian Burns for two firsts in 2022, and trading him for less over this past offseason even though the leadership is vastly different, and the previous FO declined to pay the guy all of last year despite not trading and wanting to keep him. The previous regime didn't make a shred of sense, and need to get more flak than the organization itself.
@ NAIL ON THE HEAD. That Burns situation really hurt. But brighter days ahead for you guys. I’m just so glad the GM got Canales. Two things they need to do now is build the OLine. The defense. And maybe 1 more receiver. Lastly, have realistic expectations, DO NOT FIRE CANALES.
I'm still not 100% on board yet. But they are calling him the Carolina Reaper. He's brought death to everyone he's beat... Dennis Allen, Daniel Jones, and the Arizona Cardinals postseason 😂
Young has outplayed Richardson, stroud and all rookie QBs throughly the past 6 weeks so we all owe him an apology
And young’s stats if he keeps playing like he has the last few games he would have 4900 yards 31 tds and 3 picks
What more do you need to see?
Andy Dalton has been so good. He reminds me of Derek Anderson backing up Cam way back when. I'm not going to pretend I didn't have my doubts (you know how Bama qbs be) but I'm happy to see Bryce stepping it up and I'll always root for a Panthers player no matter what.
Since coming back from the bench in 8 games very mediocre only 10TDs 6INTs 3 fumbles (only played 2 teams w a winning record) on the season he is still 33rd in passer rating and has a 46 QBR rating…
Average box score watcher
Thank you for trying to educate these people. They are being click baited and are so uninformed that they are rah-rahing a very below average player.
intro goes hard af
I appreciate that bro!
It’s important to not lower the bar too low for him. Until last week, his passer rating was even worse than last year. He only has one game of over 100. Caleb Williams has 6.
His turnover to TD ratio is just over 1:1
He’s only playing well good if you’re flexible with your definition of good.
He has a top 10 O-line and a top 5 rb.
Out of the other QBs with a top 10 line, he has vastly underperformed the rest.
Amazing is just too generous a word rt now, even good is too generous given his stats and how good his line is.
Let’s just continue to be patient and hope for the defense to get some help, enough of the “Bryce needs weapons” narrative too. The defense needs some draft picks sent their way for a while now
Since he came back, Bryce has ranked in the top 12 QBs in the league per PFF. Week 16 he was the best QB per PFF.
@
by what metrics? It’s not passer rating, and I don’t think it TD:TO, yards, ypa, it’s not wins, it’s not ppg. I think he’s bottom 10 in QBR if not bottom 5.
There was an article last week using two combined metrics to measure qb efficiency. He was one of only 2 QBs that were in the negative. It was a yahoo article I’ll try to find it
@incutool it was overall offensive grade
@ but how did they come to that grade? Using what metrics? Sorry but that sounds arbitrary if he is bottom 10 in nearly every category, bottom 5 in a few
@incutool that's something you're gonna have to Google yourself because I don't know the answer. I just know that I don't care about stars. I've been seeing the way he's been playing these past few weeks and he's constantly improving, even if his stats don't blow you out of the water. You can save your time trying to find that yahoo article, I don't care what they have to say
Praise God Brother!!💪🏼 #KeepPounding
I loved the words you spoke about the Panthers. But mostly about Christ
@@shawnhume4704 Praise Him bro. I’m a Bama fan. Bryce fan. Not a Panthers fan but a Philly fan. Most importantly, a humble Christ follower.

Appreciate that bro!
Great NFL quarterbacks find a way to be successful in bad situations, mediocre and good quarterbacks will use their teams as scapegoats when things don't go well, and bad quarterbacks will be unsuccessful even in good situations. Bryce is somewhere in the mediocre to good range right now, although he's improved since his rookie season. At the position he was drafted, in the manner he was drafted, he is solidified as a bust - but he can still put an asterix by that if he develops into a great quarterback. He will never be able to redeem the fact that management spent so much on him because he was "NFL Ready" and that's not his fault, but is still the reality of his situation. If Bryce wins his first playoff game he will finally deserve apologies from some of the doubters... but until then, they're justified. If he never wins a playoff game, and until he does, fans are allowed to say whatever they want about him and there's really not much you can say to rebut it.
My opinion is still that he was a second round draft talent and the upside at that draft pick would have been really great, I'm waiting for him to change my mind about that, and I'm open to revising my opinion when he does
Dude I 100% AGREE WITH YOU! I never gave up with Bryce. I see Bryce giving opposing DCs nightmares next season as long as he has his weapons buying into him like they did this season. Bryce even has RB Miles Sanders looking good catching passes! BRYCE IS HIM. Ask Atlanta about Bryce! LO L
Yes! I’m so excited to see what he does next year.
Nah, I got receipts saying giving him a a chance to study form the sideline and watch a vet like Andy will do him wonders. He had confidence when watching from the sideline. Like he knew he was about to put the league on notice.
Slow down please, lighten up on the worship. Yes I’m rooting for BY9; he is simply now where we thought he should have been one year ago. Love Canales.too. Onward and upward. Keep f//g pounding.
@@Terence-g2q I said that. This is what you expected when he was drafted. So this can be treated like year 1 😂. Only up from here
Let’s see what happens when the regular season starts back up 😅
True! Seriously believe it’s only up from there! That’s the same Bryce I watched in college
He's also doing it with thielin Coker n legette as his receivers.
Get him a wr1 and then have Coker n legette as ur WR2 and 3 and we good
Bryce and Dave dymnaic duo
as a huge Carolina Panthers fan I said Bryce was to short/small to play the quarterback position in the NFL… I’m here to apologize to Bryce and admit I was wrong #KEEPPOUNDING
I salute you for that! Future is so bright man! This is the Bryce I remember from college man. And y’all have a coach for him too!
I don’t I’ve never stopped believing in him, but yeah all do
Don't need to apologize if you never gave up on him. It's almost like you need time to develop a rookie. 😅
I must admit, I was trippin too.
@@Anonymous-hd6fc respect for that honesty!
Bryce has always been good in my eyes , a lot of his early issue was due to terrible play calling and was thrown into a starring role expecting to be Tom Brady lol … but let’s get one thing straight Bryce is not elite nor do I think he has the potential to be elite due to his surrounding and tendency to hold on to the ball … he also played some really bad defensive teams down the stretch so you have to take his performance with a grain of salt
My friend, you are wrong. Really wrong. I never doubted him. He's a winner. Everywhere. When others were saying "he's too short, he's too frail, he's only 180 lbs". (Stephen A. for one). So what? He has talent, brains, winner's attitude. Was he bad in first two games of 2024? Oh yeah. Really bad. Would I have benched him? Not with just two games as the new HC. I told everyone that was selling him down the river "Just wait. Give him some time. He's learning. He's watching Dalton." And Dalton was mentoring him. What's the biggest difference? He rarely hesitates. No more patting the ball. No more happy feet. When his target gives him a little opening, he fires. And he remembered that he can run. He doesn't overdo it, but does it very effectively. Just like at Bama. VERY happy for Bryce. Good kid. Smart kid. Now his coach and team believe in him. Get a D and make this thing happen. KEEP POUNDING!!
@@ericdunlap494 I salute you. A lot of fans and others have doubted him. They called him worse than JaMarcus Russell. I remember every single word. Salute to you for still believing in him. I am in Alabama alone. I witnessed everything I knew how good he could be. I just hoped and I regret to admit that I did not want him to get drafted to the Carolina Panthers. For the very reason of what transpired the last two seasons. I’m so glad that he has Dave Canales and Andy Dalton in his ear and whoever his quarterback coach is. You have your guy you have your future and franchise quarterback get ready for cinema.
11 draft picks and free agency to address our defense and other needs… in 25 the south is ours… Bryce young come back player of the year keep pounding. PS theilen cooked Dejean that whole game in Philly… 😂😂😂

I don't. I was hoping my phins could get him on the cheap.

2-15 and 5-12 and you want apologies? He gets another year and he better come out like he finished or move on but if he does come out playing well next year good for him and ALL the fans that have watched 2 years of a dumpster fire fire -
The Panthers were a bad team but they improved and Young improved. stop hating and stfu
No, y’all owe Bryce an apology. Some of us knew this time was coming.

He put the beyond terrible tape out there and andy dalton made it look even worse. Im glad what ever clicked for him clicked but cant fault ppl for watching the film.
@@dixienormus8406 I agree. But you can’t turn the tape on and not see the culmination. Terrible situation in the beginning, lack of weapons, no protection, bad scheme. All that led to a lack of confidence. Then bad coaching. It led to the shell of a QB Bryce was. Look at Caleb in Chicago.
Bears still better, williams still better!!
Huh? He's trashing out. I ain't said shit bout him. I don't owe him shit. But I can say the ones who's have spoken on him had a right too.
No we don’t. He owes us an apology! If a player is playing subpar they need to be benched until they get their crap together. As the #1 overall pick this is wants expected. I’m glad for him playing to his potential and the team and fans supporting him through the tough times. Let’s go Bryce! Year three, nothing less than a playoff run is expected!

When someone doing something you can’t how can you trash them when they low people kill me having a opinion on something they can’t do they self you might be trash at your job loll
This the NFL not collegiate. Should a could a would a. When you really like that it shows. Joe burrow went to the playoffs in his first three years. No excuses. He alright but this NFL
Respect. Can’t call a QB trash when he’s not given the tools to be successful though. If you can see “It” in college, I’m positive it’s there. Situations are everything. Blake Bortles was not that great in college, and he made a playoff run with the Jags for one year, all because of situations. That’s Blake Bortles.
@ayejayhubb yes you can. Before you get ahead of yo self, tell me what is his grade???????
Has he not been playing better? Then to the people who said he was trash need to say sorry cuz he isn't trash tf y'all on about😂 1:56
Joe Burrow did not go to the playoffs his first three years, Bengals had a top 5 pick after Burrow's rookie year with Burrow going 2-7-1 . 😂
