one thing people don't mention about rookies is this is their first time playing such a long season. 18 weeks has to be a tough adjustment. i think it's fair to say XL is still learning how to be a pro, and if anything it makes sense for him to struggle more as of late. he's banged up and on a bad team as a rookie. he'll get there.
My thoughts: 1. I think Bryce played 2 of his best statistical games of his career over the past 2 weeks. He’s clearly improving massively. 2. XL is a player that requires patience. He CAN be good. It’ll just take time. 3. Hubbard means more to this team than we even imagined. With our good run game the Bucs knew to just blitz essentially every play. I think the pass pro is good usually but we need a good run game to back it up. Rough week but it’s nearly over at least. KEEP POUNDING!
Love your break downs on the plays. We need bright spots in these types of games. I love seeing his growth. Just wish that Bryce and rookies can get more chemistry going. Syked for the future of this team!
If I'm correct this is Thielen last year of the contract, do you think we will or can bring him back? He's my favorite player, I loved him since Vikings and I would love to see him back. and Ezekiel Elliott got cut do you think the panther take him for the final game?
Great breakdown. Loving Bryce's progression, and XL's physicals are promising. The pace of this rebuild is frustrating at times, but we finally seem to have a foundation in place on offense.
We have an offense that can win, or be competitive. I believe Bryce will have a big season in 2025. Our defense is a disaster. We need huge changes in the offseason. Change in leadership and personnel.
Man Bryce been showing out. I will admit I was frustrated watching him play last year and the beginning of this year. But i also thought they put him out there to early and should have sat him for a bit initially. Love what I'm seeing out of this young brother now. He was has extreme potential. Looking forward to next season already. Lets have a great draft and maybe get another D coordinator, I think its time. Not a fan of this 3-4
I felt like he should have sat this one out. He was on the injury report all week as "questionable," and then all of a sudden, he's out there playing. But regardless if he was healthy or not yesterday, I would like to think he really works on his game in the off-season and comes back a different, much improved player. Either way, I think we might need to look at some FAs WRs(and later in the draft as well) if there's anyone decent that's not too crazy expensive. Higgins might be our best option. Depends on the price tag.
I do because he already has the physical tools and he's a hard worker. He also has been open and honest about his shortcomings and owns up to them. I think he's gonna be fine.
I’m glad Bryce has sped up that back pedal drop back. He’s been very solid against pressure like he was in Alabama. Next year could be scary if Bryce get one more true weapon
A year ago I was scared Bryce couldn’t even throw it over 30 yards😭he’s had a couple good long balls this year after the benching but that 40 yard ball to Thielen let me know FOR SURE he can let them loose at this level💯
Because once we got behind by 2-3 scores we totally became one dimensional and stopped trying to run. Plus we didn't have Chuba, so that hurt as well. And no we're not tankng, not on purpose anyway. No way do guys at this level throw games just to get a higher ranked rookie that might potentially take one of their jobs. That's just a dumb idea and no team in their right mind would do such a thing🤦♂️
@@SR91313 Thank the football gods that someone around here still has some sense. You hit the nail right on the head, as anyone who understands situational football would. Once the game gets out of hand, every single team will go into "air raid mode" because they no longer have the option of a long drive; they need chunk plays and fast in order to catch up. Going 1 dimensional makes it much easier on the defense, and when you add a defense as bad as ours this is the inevitable result. This was about as good as Bryce could have looked here.
@AstroCreep77 -yeah, i thought Bryce played pretty decent all things considered. I mean once we abandoned the run, or any team abandons the run, teams are going to just start teeing off and sending the occasional blitz from all over. Especially when they know they don't have to worry about being fooled by the run or play action, etc. It's about as much fun as a good/decent defense can have nowadays, when your team is up like that.
I don’t think we should give up on XL on his rookie season. His raw physicals should be enough to see what he can do in a few seasons.
Fuck a few seasons we need to see at least 800 yards next year
@ you’re not wrong. I mean he ain’t too far off from Metcalfs rookie season 🤔
Second year receivers tend to do better. JSN, Rashee rice before the injury, Jordan Addison etc. XL will be that guy next year just watch

So I just looked, he's got one more year left.

Good things take time lol

They had arugably the best draft last year (slightly bias) lol but yeah the D has to change... That video is coming tomorrow on wtf went wrong
I don't have faith in XL either..
Me either

He’s a rookie on a team trying to find an identity. He will be better.

Ice Bryce 👀👀👀

The confidence he has now... Shiii is deadly
XL was just too slow. Bryce was ready to throw when he was making a move on the db
⚫️🐈⬛🔵
Why do you think our offense slowed down so bad this game?
Bc were tanking

I think there's a plethora of reasons, a big one is no run game and our o-line has struggled against great d-lines. Last one being Dallas tbh
