Robin is so awesome. He nearly gets his head ripped off by this insane girl and then goes right back to singing. He's fabulous. It's a real no-no to act like she did, although I understand her frenzy. Robin's hotness is immense. He frequently came to a place where I worked, and although none of the women present when he arrived reacted crazy, you could hear the collective sighs as they gazed at him. He is absolutely beautiful in person. I think much more beautiful than some of the photos or films of him. He's a doll. x

I love Robin. He had a crappy group to entertain and with his beautiful voice, he did that. Security certainly sucks. Damn! The cops were downright rough. What a shame. You deserved much better, Robin. ❤️🌹❤️
I was there playing drums with the orchestra and you're right the security and police were over the top sparking the reaction from the crowd. The video does not capture the extent of the stuff that was raining down on us , bottles, cans etc etc it was a shame as we had over an hour of music to play that had sounded great at the rehearsal but only played about 15 minutes of it.

Luckily, they got back together and kept making the best music and songs ever. And hopefully, Robin didn't encounter any more raucous crowds again. 😄

Because they wrote some songs that got associated with a disco movie, people blamed them and radio stations wouldn't play their music anymore. So that's when they decided to step back for awhile to let it die down and instead, wrote hit songs for other artists like Barbra Streisand, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, Dionne Warwick, and Diana Ross. It all worked out for them because they made music for 50 years. I cannot think of many groups that made music for that long. If Robin and Maurice did not pass away, they would have lasted even longer. After Maurice died, Barry didn't want to continue as the Bee Gees, even though Robin did, so Robin toured solo instead. Barry and Robin did do some gigs together later on. They performed on Dancing With The Stars, American Idol, and a few other places. I love the Bee Gees and am so glad that they live on here on UA-cam so we can watch them anytime we want.

I had the same thought this (and probably other similar expericences) making him realize he preferred being with his brothers to being solo.
Unfortunately unknown to Robin the crowd had been told its was the Bee Gees performing and not only Robin so they were a bit hostile to him.
