Thanks. Great review and advice as usual. Just put one of these on my Specialized Vado 4.0 LTD. it came with Suntour straight spring suspension. Night and day difference. Kinekt is so much better. And fully adjustable for preload and leveling. Great product. Thanks again for the great reviews.

Excellent information! Just got the seatpost today as a Christmas gift! I have a Pedego Ridge Rider that has been just outstanding for me so far! Do I need to switch out the OEM seat? If so, suggestion on a good ebike seat that is similar in appearance to the OEM?

Although I've ridden other suspension seatposts, I've been riding the XL2 version of the Kinekt seatpost for more than a year now, with over 4,000 miles on it. I'm sold, it is a great addition to an e-bike - especially with many cities that have bumpy pavement. I recommend everyone getting an e-bike strongly consider getting a Kinekt seatpost.
I did have one crusty road cyclist start to explain to me how the steel springs in the Kinekt would make for a very bouncy ride. That has not been the case in my experience. Even though the Kinekt is always doing its job, I do not consciously feel the saddle moving - except on the biggest bumps. Even on big bumps, there is no bouncy "rebound". Under normal riding, the Kinekt just soaks up the bumps without presenting a jouncy ride. Early mtn. bike suspension forks bounced or "pogo-ed" - stealing power as you pedaled. The Kinekt does not do this. Perhaps the linkages in the Kinekt have some internal friction dampening, because it definitely does not "pogo" in my case.

Good review. I was looking at this one but I opted for the Cane Creek Thudmaster ST. Looks, and it works great on my eBike. I got it primarily because it's a bit more 'stealthy' than the Kinect.

I’ve looked all over about this post, and even the website doesn’t mention it. I just wanna make sure; is the tilt infinitely adjustable? The suntour ncx has preset angles and I can’t get a comfortable seat angle.

Wonderful review with a clear explanation of how this works. I never really understood it. I currently use the Suntour NCX SP 12. This was the 3rd suspension post that I purchased after trying straight line posts like the Satori. With this post does one specify the needed springs or is the post sold with a set of various springs for customizing. Also, Chris, if a rider is right at the upper limit of one of the ranges, would it be better to stick with the lower range springs or install the next highest. Thanks for the excellent review and clarity.

Hi Chris, greetings from Valencia, Spain. I have just purchased a RM NEVO3 and I’d like to make some upgrades. Firstly, I’d like to get the suspension seat post replaced. Currently, it has a Satori (40 mm travel) but I find it a little bit short for some bumps on the road. Before I watched this review about Kinetik, all my attention was focused on LT Thudbuster Canecreek, as it’s 90 mm travel. But now, I really hesitate about which one I should buy ( Kinetik or Thudbuster) Could you give me your opinion? On which one would you be?
Thanks for your help, and sorry to contact you on weekend.

I wouldn't say the Cirrus is the best. The (original?) Suntour NCX I have for 3 years is very good too.
And there are others, with rubber dampening, instead of springs.
I do agree with them all having the superior principle: the parallelogram design.
I started, before the one I have now, with a telescopic one, and those are crap. They bind up after a short while, rendering them useless as a suspension seat post.
One little drawback though, is that they all have a bit af an rearward offset. Keep that in mind, if you already adjusted the seat to the absolute foremost position.

@@Propelbikes How does this compare to the Thudbuster? I believe this is made of a more premium alloy maybe, costs significantly more, $100 bucks, and uses spring resistant inserts to fit your weight and comfort requirements and thudbuster uses rubber graded resistant inserts instead of springs. I'm 300 lbs and I would need the LT Long Travel version I just wonder if at my weight I would notice the difference in springs versus rubber and if the weight differential adds support. Finally, I wonder if the springs can be mounted on the thud bluster. And where are each of them built, who invented this design. Is it possible that thud buster figured out how to make a cheaper version which happens to be more effective at overall support or is the premium m load alloy superior, and noticeably more comfortable. Like comparing Cadillac to VW? I'll pay up if the premium is noticeably more supportive and sturdy and feels like it will last longer. Thanks
Also John F brings up a point of had not considered, why not just get shocks at the tires so as to maintain the relationship between the pedals and seat. What kind of cost am I getting into? Ty all

I rode a 2018 R&M Supercharger hardtail for a few years with the Thudbuster ST. I also have chronic back issues L3, 4 & 5. The Thudbuster really really helped. I now ride an R&M Super Delite with front and rear suspension and I've experimented with soft and hard suspension on the rear and have found hard suspension works better for me personally. Others with back issues will go the other way. Having said all this I'm chasing a Thudbuster, yes you read right, a full suspension ebike with a suspension seat post. I believe the difference is the front and back motion the Thudbuster provided my 105 kg / 230 lbs on the Supercharger is what helped me. Then I'll consider a Brooks saddle! Also waiting for the day somebody makes a dropper and suspension seat post in one.
