I love many of my elders, they are NOT all like that, but the truth is age does not always mean wise, many just get more arrogant with time.
They don't live in the same world we do nor did they grow up in the same world.
The past is over, you can't always compare that to now.

That’s how I see writers when they’re writing about a protagonist outsmarting an antagonists with opposing views, opinions & beliefs, instead of having actual conversation

    • @Artificial_Idiot
      @Artificial_Idiot 7 місяців тому

      For example,
Protagonist: I believe in god & what he says is us to be good and pray for him
Antagonist: I’m atheist, I like to vandalize & do evil stuff bc I don’t believe in god
Protagonist: no! God exist! He wouldn’t want you to be bad!
Antagonist: you’re right! I should redeem myself for I have sinned (so easy to convince an antagonist am I right?)
Irl, protagonist likely to be afraid of going to hell so he must do good things
Antagonist irl would just be a normal person who happens to not believe in god & be decent for the sake of decency
I’m not here to bash on religion, just here to bash on weak writing when the protagonist is always right

Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman were actually very kind to Mara Wilson during filming. They treated her like family, and helped her cope with her mother's passing from cancer a few months prior to the film's release. Pam Ferris, the actress who played the Trunchbull, was also a very kind hearted person onset. Some of the child actors had trouble being afraid of her because she was so kind. She would often stay in character so the kids would be genuinely afraid of her while filming.

Also, way too many parents of nowadays actually do this to their children. It’s abhorrent. Disgusting. Thoughtless. Selfish. Mentally and emotionally ABUSIVE.
Take a moment and think about when you were little and someone- ONE OF YOUR PARENTS - were speaking to you like this!
What would your heart be feeling like? What would you be thinking in your mind?
This kind of abuse can AND does leave scars that last a lifetime.
I’d love to smack that 💩CHIT💩eating grin off Danny DeVito‘s face ~ meaning whoever the parent is ~ speaking to a child like this! 👨🏻🫲🏼 🧨💥
      ALL CHILDREN MATTER
