Never buy one, only lease it. Neither the Audi or the BMW will turn heads. This LC though turns heads and creates whiplashes when seen in person.

I hope this hybrid depreciates quickly so I can afford a gently used one in 5 years from now.
I would expect this super sport car even is 10 years old still worth 40k even have 100k miles on it because it is a Lexus and don't forget it has high registration fee because it original selling price is $100k it is going to cost around $400 even is 10 years old in the future, tires price is costly high on a high performance vehicle average price of a cheap tire still cost around $300 as expected in general nothing is cheap to own one of these even is a trouble free Lexus but for sure you will enjoy driving one of this beauty
I own a 2010 Lexus 350C. Absolutely love it! Hardtop convertible, over 300 horsepower. Mark Levinson sound. Black on black. If you compare the 100k 500h, to the 60k 350C, I think the 350 wins every time. Hard top convertible, same suspension, fast as lighting, no speed governor, better audio sound, no front facade, same mpg without the hybrid. It's a no brainer. Mines garaged, and has only 76k miles. 11 year old car!
I feel like they do that on purpose to make it harder for 3rd party dealers to work on them so you have to bring it to the dealer so any problems and charge you triple the price
LFA is the halo car. LC500 is the real production model. People compare this to the RC is wrong. LC design is so nice. He is talking about his wife loves sports touring and hates real sports car.
I saw how many wires and hoses were coming off the engine and thought the same thing. Looks like hell to try to work on unless you pay someone else a lot instead. Contrast that to my 2016 corolla or my mom's 2006 camry where the alternators and starters are about a 10-15 minute job each.
With the continual quality control issues and garbage maintenance polices, I'd be disappointed for him to give Tesla any face on his channel. $120k Model S's being delivered with condensation in the headlights and camera lenses is a joke. Model 3 paint thickness inconsistencies and premature A pillar rust and cracking is just the tip of the iceberg.
My brother has one of these, is a 2018 with the V8 engine. Incredibly smooth and fast, it is a heavy car. No way I'd ever give that kind of money for a car though, still just another depreciating property.
I own an LC500h. Its a real head turner and the best interior quality of any car up to $300k. However, after a year, I wish I had bought the V8 because of the incredible sound it makes. The 500h is as fast as most people will ever need in normal driving. Not many cars that can beat me off the line, but its not as fast as most cars in this price range. The trade off is the reliability, the looks and quality of engineering. One of the things that most people don't know is that these cars have self-healing paint. Lexus really brings it to the table on these cars with their paint jobs.
They make those seats for insurance and import reasons. They’re called 2+2. They had that issue with the 300ZX in the 90’s. The 2+2 is much cheaper for insurance premiums, and I vaguely remember some insurance companies wouldn’t write policies for 2 seaters with younger drivers, but don’t quote me on it.
Well it's been around since 2017, but I guess that's new. The V8 version with it's GORGEOUS rev notes has been my dream car in the 90K$ range for years. The inside reminds me of an icecream sundae. Not even sure if I would choose any other car below 200K$. Was super-excited to see they used LC500 in the Black Panther movie car chase. . I (dude) don't mind if it's considered a "ladies car". I've always valued design perfection and flawlessness more than raw performance. Not a macho car person. Only sore spot is that infotainment system -.-
I've had one for two years (the V8 version). It is a wonderful car to drive but far and away the best part is when you first start the engine. There's a great podcast by Malcolm Gladwell discussing the genesis and development of the LC500. The engine sound alone they spent 5 years perfecting. The interior is second to none compared to any other car I have ever owned. I also love that I rarely see others LC500s on the road. I have 20K miles on it now and I have not had a single issue. Mechanically perfect. Interestingly, I get about 24.4 mpg highway and 21.7 combined in economy mode. Huge tank, so about 430 mile range. The infotainment system is wonky, but you get used to it. Once you pair your phone (which didn't take me 15 minutes) you never have to worry about that again. The Mark Levinson system sounds great (also part of the podcast and the effort spent to perfect the sound system). In short, I love it; my wife loves it; and I will likely keep it forever. The one knock I have heard in is that in most evaluations the only car in its class that is "better" is the 911--I can live with that. Plus, the 911 drives completely different. That's a sports car. This is a sporty car.

This thing is amazing, I wanna save up for a used one around 60-70k. This is a reliable super car that has taste similar to the 90s iconic gto by Mitsubishi. My 92 engine just seized, thinking of doing a 6.7 diesel swap. No V6 hybrids, V8 LC500 is the way to go.
Scotty Kilmer: I’ve never spent more then $7k my entire life on cars then buys a $97k car. Me at the age of 100: yes, I spent around $97k my entire life on cars.
Did'nt realize the battery drive was for performance, not mileage. Complex, afraid it will break and be a nightmare to fix. Wish it was available in a naturally-aspirated V6, but car probably too heavy. Followed your advice and bought a V6 (GS 350, Sienna), Drive wonderfully, no issues except for dented low-profile wheels. Thanks, Scotty.
Allan Flores Definitely is. I drive a Lexus “sports car”. It’s really a luxury tourer with some sportiness. Too much weight and too much computer input to call it a true sports car. Fun and relaxing to drive though and it’s really nice to know it will crank tomorrow and for years to come.
I mean it is a lexus. The v8 they put in there is used across loads of their cars and is a pretty old reliable design. Idk about the v6h but they've been playing with hybrids for years so it'll probably be really reliable too.

Hi Scotty. I need your advice. I leased a 2017 Hyundai Tucson 3 yeas ago and the lease is up in 3 months. Is it a good idea to buy it? It has 16k mileage, has great condition, and the residue price is $12,500. Please advise.

America is keeping the V8 alive. BMW put a V8 in the M3 for a few years and then caved to emissions hippies.
One of the few things i bless the americans for... glorious V8s. Hell,, if it wasnt for u guys,, toyota wouldnt have bothered making their own line of monster V8s.
And of course, monster pickup trucks and muscle cars👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😂😂😂
@@arsyadidris2919 And Toyota V8's are better that USA ones by far :-) 1UZ rocks
Allan526 toyota ahas a twin-turbodiesel V8. Its been around for a few years in the global market... but not in the US. Why tho... Im seriously wondering why they dont offer that engine unit in the Tundra... probably next gen of tundras?
Slapping the hell out of that navigation 🤣
Why couldn’t they have just used that body for the Supra
My same thoughts
Bruh.
Because it is a big fat pig of a car that is a GT, but not a sports car by a long shot.
because the lc 500 was already released before the supra
lol does it look like a supra to you? thats a big body GT
30 mpg highway for me v8 but around town I’m 15-20 mpg. Love you reviewed it ! Had the choice between v8 and hybrid grabbed the v8
So far in 2021, after 3 quarters of a year, this 500h model has sold a grand total of 12 units
The V8 has sold over 2000
This thing is amazing, I wanna save up for a used one around 60-70k. This is a reliable super car that has taste similar to the 90s iconic gto by Mitsubishi. My 92 engine just seized, thinking of doing a 6.7 diesel swap. No V6 hybrids, V8 LC500 is the way to go.
She's absolutely gorgeous! I love your choice of exterior and interior colors. Congratulations! You earned it.
“And yes it looks like a rocket ship about to take off”. Lol
Scotty Kilmer: I’ve never spent more then $7k my entire life on cars then buys a $97k car.
Me at the age of 100: yes, I spent around $97k my entire life on cars.
It is NOT his car
Jiffer it’s either a rental or a press car
@@bigbadviking48 He should buy it for his wife with that youtube money.
What about maintenance? all those wires and hoses and computerized parts?
Did'nt realize the battery drive was for performance, not mileage. Complex, afraid it will break and be a nightmare to fix. Wish it was available in a naturally-aspirated V6, but car probably too heavy. Followed your advice and bought a V6 (GS 350, Sienna), Drive wonderfully, no issues except for dented low-profile wheels. Thanks, Scotty.
"its not even like driving- its more like a magic carpet ride!" Lol!!
Two transmissions = twice the possibility of failure.
Are you an engineer ?
Now we just need two CVTs and we will be complete
This is e-cvt so that would not fail like nissans cvt
Lexus doesn’t know the word failure since it never happens.
Tom The Cat I have had a Lexus break down once
"Luxury Sports car" more like grand tourer.
Allan Flores
Definitely is. I drive a Lexus “sports car”. It’s really a luxury tourer with some sportiness. Too much weight and too much computer input to call it a true sports car. Fun and relaxing to drive though and it’s really nice to know it will crank tomorrow and for years to come.
That's pretty much what a GT is, though it's kind of in-between with the trunk space.
Lexus should of given it a hatch and no rear seats.
Semantics. People use the terms interchangeably
How is it not a luxury sports car? Do you thing mclaren GT isnt a luxury sports car you muppet
This car is the one I've focused on as the one gift to myself too.
This guy could be Joe Pesci’s brother that did car reviews instead of joining the mob.
🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂
Didn't you JUST post a video telling everyone to STOP BUYING CARS WITH CVT TRANSMISSIONS????
Hello how are you doing. I hope you are safe and in good health. Lol
This has both mechanical and CVT.
Very rare car--I saw my first one today, and it was a thing of beauty. I still haven't seen an RCF, though.
One year later.... Scotty: Worst decision i've ever made
I mean it is a lexus. The v8 they put in there is used across loads of their cars and is a pretty old reliable design. Idk about the v6h but they've been playing with hybrids for years so it'll probably be really reliable too.
And only a 4 speed auto. This should have had at least a 6 speed auto like majority of the auto makers are building.
@@stevelozano9523 it's reliable
Congratulations on the addition to the family
Happy For You Scotty!! You and the Wife Enjoy it you have entertained us and educated us and no doubt are the Best Automotive Channel on UA-cam!!Enjoy It You Deserve It
Scotty is finally going through his midlife crisis... He's buying new cars like he's got cancer
He's renting them from the dealership, probably thinking about actually buying one sometime soon.
My boy Scotty buying cars left and right lately he taking advantage of these covid deals
I really doubt those are his cars
I thought he never paid over $3,000 for a car and he never bought new.
@@thegreat8876 those aren't his
Jon D are you really that stupid?
Diego Avila He is a millionaire now, and he really does not say, does he?
best interior of all the new cars these days imo. love the tan leather
Glad to have help you Scotty!
I had a Lexus sc430 a 2004 model. I know they stop making those models in 2010. I don't know why Lexus didn't continue the sc models. This is a nice car and cool video love the energy here. Peace and love from East Harlem NYC....
I love thies cars. I'd have to go with the v8 tho
My dream exotic car is an LFA but,I would settle for this. But of course it would have to be a V8.
I'd want the LC-F
It's hot with the V8. This us YUCK.
Damn. I had a feeling that mechanics be driving customer’s cars. 😂
Bro they are supposed to lol. If you're mechanic doesnt drive your car he is ripping you off
@@JesusIsAlphaOmega001 yes, but was referring for personal use after the car is already fixed.
The Lc 500 is my dream car. Great upload Scotty!
You deserve it, Scotty!! Thanks for all you do!! 💥💥
it's jumps from 0 to 4000 RPMs i less than 0.1 sec, crazy!!!
7:10 Scotty the type of guy to have a vodka lid in his center console
ha haaa😂😋
Do a rev up your engine intro with that lexus
It looks expensive I'm shocked it's really a great looking car.
j freed the TC was a thing
Thank you for being so down to earth Scotty
Congrats on your new purchase
I was waiting for Scotty to say “let me get this stupid beauty cover off” when he opened the hood.
Yeah, we've both been watching too many of these videos.
Can't wait for the LC 500 F version with the new Twin Turbo V8 !
Love this car never thought I would see Scotty with it
@Zack Smith no lol
Hi Scotty. I need your advice. I leased a 2017 Hyundai Tucson 3 yeas ago and the lease is up in 3 months. Is it a good idea to buy it? It has 16k mileage, has great condition, and the residue price is $12,500. Please advise.
Scott enjoy your new Lexus the info has help many people save money avoid pain in the neck cars 👍
Dear god that is the most cluttered scary looking engine bay i've ever seen.
Don't worry a new one is coming in 4 years. Don't FIX it. Trade it in.
They coulda made that cow-catcher below the front grill out of bendable Tupperware, but nooo, for $93K it breaks every time it touches something.
Just pay attention where you point the thing, and you'll never have that problem.
Scotty: treats himself to lc500
[Everyone liked that]
Is it used?
the mouse experience is 10x better than touch screen. Everything is so much easier. Takes some time to get use to but after you learn it , so much better to use while driving
"...I'm a mechanic and it took me almost 15 minutes...." - Best of Scotty 😂
And imagine during that time, he could have saved 15% or more on car Insurance.
Whenever Scotty Kilmers drops the new videos I roll up the fat Woolford and get all schmoked up.
Get a job dude
Damn straight
This Lexus is WAY cooler looking than a Tesla
That's what Supra should be even if it's expensive
Much prefer the V8 LC. One of the most beautiful sounding engines I've ever heard.
hi scotty which is better used lc500 or used lc500h?
