- In this simple crochet tutorial I'll show you how to make a VERY EASY blanket for babies, large afghans and more - using just ONE stitch for pretty much the whole thing! It's the easiest blanket - it gives wonderful 3D texture and it's so squishy too! And a one row repeat is always a winner!
For my sample I am using Sirdar Hayfield Spirit Chunky in shade Sundown and a 6mm hook.

Hi. This is the stitch we use for the NICU baby blankets that I am making. The organization is Threads of Love! It goes quickly and is so nice so their little fingers don’t get caught.
How lovely! 🥰
This is great, I plan on doing this when a complicated patter requires more focus . Thanks for sharing
Very preety, love the stitch and the colours 🥀🤩 thanks for sharing Rebecca.....
Just started this pattern this morn, I already crochet 10 rows.!!! Very fast and easy, loved this pattern. 👌. Hope you make more of these easy patterns
Wow! That’s wonderful to hear Martha! 🌈

Very pretty yarn and pattern. Thank you for sharing. 💜🙏🏻
You’re very welcome! 🌸🎀
Love it
My mind is blown with your alternative to chain two to begin the row. Thank you for the tutorial I will be trying it out.
I know right? She has the best tutorials!
Thank you Rebecca, I love learning new stitches. This looks like a fun stitch and I really like the texture and pattern, can't wait to try it.

Blossom your using my favorite yarn. Hayfield sundown. Ive made so many blankets in this yarn. Thank you for showing another pattern and an excuse use for me to purchase more Sundown!!
It is so pretty! I love this yarn too! 🌈
Oh wow! Awesome! Never thought about using those 2 loops together. Thanks for showing us💗
You’re most welcome 💕
Gorgeous! Thank you. 💛
Thank you for the tutorial. The stitch that you used to replace the chain 2 is very cool. I need to learn this trick.
Love it 😀
I really like this. I think I might have plans for a blanket using this stitch. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! Glad you like it 🌸
Love love it. I do not have chunky yarn but that would make great pot holders. Thank you
It would! 🥰
Very nice my dear friend ! Best regards !
Beautiful stitch and texture ❤️
I will definitely need to try!
Very pretty and very easy yea
Thank you ❤️🇦🇺
Thanks! This is so easy, and I can do without 0aying close attention. I just got several boxes of yarn, was looking for another project!❤️
Thank you for this tutorial. I have always liked this stitch, however, I have never seen the end of a row done this way before! I love the way it looks! Thank you so much for showing this. I really like how yours turned out with that pretty yarn. I have tried 2 different stitches on a blanket i am working on, and I still dont like it. So I think I will take it all apart again, and try this and see how it looks. Thanks again!! (From the USA) 😍
Lovely, both pattern/stitch a yarn color. Tfs.
Thank you ☺️
Excited to watch this later once baby goes to bed. When baby goes to bed the hooks come out 😆
Thank you! I hope you have a lovely evening 🌸
I have Scheepjes chunky monkey for this stitch Simple and relaxing Thank you!
I love that yarn. So silky soft and you’ll get great stitch definition too 🌸
@@BlossomCrochet I wanted to make a blanket that was soft and easy to wash Thank you!
Can you use Caron Cakes yarn.
Absolutely you can! 🌸☺️
is there a written pattern for this stitch
I don’t have one currently - but it’s a general stitch so there may well be some out there ☺️
Does this stitch have a name?
