You're a Legend, Brodie. Admittedly, when I first saw you on a Sharks broadcast over a decade ago I thought, "How did this young guy get on TV? He must know somebody or weaseled his way in." A couple minutes later, I became a huge fan. Your talent and charisma were undeniable. And after some quick research learning how you were a local boy, SJSU grad, and started on KICU's High School Sports Focus -- I had even more respect for you. I am forever grateful you are a part of Sharks fandom, and even more appreciative of your efforts to grow hockey in the Bay Area. You deserve to be recognize as part of the team as much as guys like Dan, Randy, and Drew are. Thank you for these amazing years and memories -- from your in-studio chemistry with Curtis Brown to Sharks Late Night Confidential to "fighting" Ryan Clowe . Brodie you are a shark you always will be. My first year watching sharks full time was your rookie season. I live on the East Coast so I watch every broadcast. therefore your voice and face has been ingrained in my mind over all the years. I can’t imagine my sharks without you. Brodie with you being on UA-cam has been another level for me. All the news you bring and your insights. Thank you so much for all the years and memories. Now looking back I know that every time I think of hockey you will be shared in that memory.
For many, you are the voice of their generation. I’m 36 and I can remember you calling my games on High School Sports Focus. Then seeing you with the Sharks, A’s and now UA-cam. You are a voice we trust and people can connect with that.

Brodie.. I have been watching you for years. The last 2 season have been really tough for both the A’s and the Sharks. You are the only person who can link those teams together. The A’s announcement to move and the 2023 Shark season (my wife and I were season ticket holders driving from Sac to see the sharks and the play was dreadful. We were emotionally drained after a 10-2 lost at home and the 2 hour drive was dreadful) Add that with the emotions of the A’s leaving while you were continuing to report objectively tells the true professional in communications that you are. I will miss you this hockey season, with so much to look forward to it’s sad to know that you will not be around to report of these kids’ growth. Take time for yourself and your family. Some day I home to run into the Brownie and Brodie hockey show on UA-cam one of these days. Godspeed to you, you are an inspiration to those who did not make it into broadcasting.

You were that guy for me Brodie. I was late to Sharks fandom. When I finally got that spark that led me to be a hockey fan, you were the man giving me the breakdown before and after every game. I honestly can't picture anyone else doing that job now, certainly not as well as you did. I believe this was a terrible mistake by NBC. I wish you all the success in the future sir.

I stumbled upon you and your channel last year and found myself watching you more and more! I’m on the East coast (Washington D.C. area) but It’s evident of your passion for A’s Baseball and Sharks Hockey! Wherever you land whoever gets your talent will be really lucky! Good luck with whatever comes in life and you’ll continue to crush it!
So much on my mind to try and convey. To start, Brodie, through the 15 years you've been a staple of Bay Area Sports, even though we've never met the feeling I have really is you're my dude Brodie. You are hella NorCal. From your days doing High School Sports Focus, to the secret After Dark shows, to the Sharks Hockey Camp, countless pre & post game shows across what feels like every team that's resided in the region, you've been there telling us about what it's like. Almost giving the fans the fan's perspective on what the happenings are. Nobody else did that. That is what made you so unique and so treasured, especially by us elder millennials that wished we could see behind the cameras and behind closed doors. Not having you continue to be a part of that going forward is truly a loss for all of us fans.
As the saying goes, don't be sad that it's over but be happy that it happened. And as the coach said to you, change can be exciting. An opportunity to do something different, to push your comfort zone, to grow your network and the people you've connected with. Shannon is a great example of that I think. But what I said above, that's what makes you unique. I hope that a new opportunity comes soon, and you thrive in ways you can't yet imagine.

I started watching you whenever Phoenix was talking about buying land. That’s what I found you. Been following you ever since I live in St. Louis love your content even though you’re a sharks fan. Lol I won’t hold that against you. I’m looking forward to see what you have next on UA-camand see where you go. The thing is the content that you put on UA-cam is fact-based not here say not rumors or anything like that and it’s also refreshing.

Hoping the Vancouver Canucks consider adding you to their broadcast team. Maybe a move from the Bay Area to the Pacific Northwest would be a good fit. There's a rap saying that applies here: "real recognize real". That's why you're getting the responses that you're getting. You break things down in ways that none of the rest of us would even think about and you provided unique insight into a saga involving a major professional sports team that none of us on the outside could possibly understand without it. You were real with people, and the other real people are recognizing it.
At some point, I think you're going to land on your feet. Whether it's another network, whether it's your channel, whether it's a combination of both, or whether it's something completely different...who knows right now? Heck, maybe you end up in Vegas doing play-by-play for the Las Vegas A's/21's/Flaming 7's/whatever they call themselves down the road. The only thing any of us need to know right now is that it's going to happen because you earned it. Again, that's why you're getting this response.
Not an A's fan...or a Giants fan or a hockey fan in general...but I love your videos...and now that you're moving on it's still an emotional time. I am looking forward to the next chapter in your professional life.

It’s super rare for a broadcaster covering local or regional teams to stay for a long time for many reasons. There may have been many factors I imagine you are aware of. Seeing Casey find a new job does indicate that the outspoken position you both took on the A’s situation may have created a situation for you both where the networks and team (and their other owner friends) had some side conversations during the negotiations for the next several years of bay area sports broadcasting rights. I doubt Dallas will be back but we will see. I do enjoy hour work and wish to see more of it in whatever subjects your next opportunity provides.

I can say I’ll miss your ability on TV but it will only be for a short period. But you do so well on UA-cam that I’ll be ok. But overall I think about you as a person and family man. It’s tough that you’re losing your dream job but as you said change can be good. Good luck and we will hopefully be with you along the way.

I've occasionally commented on your A's relocation videos which I've really enjoyed. Not being a Bay Area guy I'm not familiar with your pre and post game coverage of the A's and Sharks but I know that the level of preparation and knowledge that you must have to do those jobs correctly is immense. And you were doing it for a long time. I'm sure there's a level of disappointment and angst that you're going through but because your professionalism stands out I have no doubt that whatever comes next for you will be very positive. I'll keep watching your UA-cam videos and maybe leave a comment on them now and then. I wish you well in the next stage. You'll do just fine.

San Jose native…and Sharks fan here since 1991. Though I’ve escaped Gavin Newsom’s wrath for good and moved out of state, your pre and post game shows will be missed big time. Most sportscasters are gimmicky and unwatchable, but you always were so easy to watch. You are your own brand, and because your brand is golden, you’ll be able to open any door you want. Rather than this being an end to anything, it is absolutely the launching pad to your next opportunity. Your supporters will be here for you no matter what. 😀👍🏼🇺🇸

Don't forget, everything happens for a reason. I was at the Writer's Guild of America in L.A. for 16 years. Then covid hit and after 5 months of staying home, they cut the budget and released me. We now live in Colorado, have new jobs and am thankful for what God has given us. Funny enough, I started 2 UA-cam channels a few weeks later.

You’re one of those rare people Brodie that has so many talents that you have many varied areas you could always pursue. If you wanted to take a break from broadcasting for a bit, you could always go back to being a flight instructor, or heck, how about a private plane pilot? Whatever you decide to do, we’ll be here, backing you…….unless you join the Vegas Golden Knights. I’m sorry. That’s a bridge too far. Even my beloved Hertl is now dead to me lol.
