- While Netflix may get most accolades for winning the streaming wars, UA-cam has been the most watched streaming platform in the U.S. for the last 15 consecutive months. Its recent dominance is predicated on taking over the living room as a direct competitor to Netflix and every other streaming service. Watch the video above to see how UA-cam has transitioned its business to connected TVs on the strength of its popular creators.

How UA-cam Beat Netflix And Disney In The Streaming Wars
I would not be watching CNBC were it not for UA-cam

Was just coming to the comments to write the same 😆
I used to watch LX News on OTA TV... until NBCUniversal killed it.
About 90% of the time I’m watching UA-cam.
Same. I have UA-cam Tv, which I never watch, except for football. Just regular UA-cam on the big screen.
I'm watching some tube
Tubing it
Same. Though eventually UA-cam will have 60 seconds of mandatory commercials with every 5 minutes of content.
yeah there's nothing good on cable or Netflix, same old boring stuff as usual
Like now with my TV off 😂
Even Netflix has a UA-cam channel 😂😂😂
🎯
Spot on 👍🏿
Watching planet earth on youtube eh?
Netflix and UA-cam are very different
But that is not the same. It's only trailers.
UA-cam> Netflix
The thing is streaming shows are so unpredictable. I didn't expect The Witcher and Star Trek Picard would be that terrible. On the other hand, my favorite UA-cam channels consistently put up great content; science and history channels, Beatles channels, film critique channels, reaction videos, etc.
For sure

UA-cam> Hollywood
UA-cam has become the great library of the world. No matter what your interests UA-cam has channels about it. You need to fix leaking faucet there are thousands of video about how to fix it , want to know the best faucets there are videos about that. Remodel your bathroom, kitchen, whole house build house, make the bricks to build your house, it goes on forever. Music of every type you can think of and thousand types you never knew existed.
UA-cam + UA-cam Music is the best for music, honestly.
finally! words abt music that relevant. than just saying present day music sucks. in the past I would never find balkan pop or mongolian tuvan or thai luk thung etc. if ppl thought past music superior, their loss rly 🤷🏽♂️
More people need to talk about the music side of UA-cam. I'm talking about those rare mixes that you can't find on most streaming services. You know, those DJ service remixes back in the day.
I love UA-cam ❤
Another reason I think youtube wins is because it's more like streaming, social media, and a forum built in one for different people. There are videos with full blown conversations going on like it's reddit.
💯
*ALSO TO ADD THAT FULL BLOWN CONVERSATIONS AND HEATED DEBATES, UA-cam CHANNELS SOLEY DEDICATED TO COMMENT SECTION BANTER/DISCUSSIONS ETC*
One of the reasons I don't mind paying for it. Not seeing ads across every video is so nice.
Yeah, it’s like tv but with community 😂
@@fauge7only downer is everyone has sponsorships now so you still have to scroll past in-video ads
The fact that cnbc is making youtube content gives us the answer
Even PBS is on here.
It's because UA-cam is free to not only watch content but express yourself and get paid on.
The emphasis part is this is free. With Netflix you needs pay, Disney+ too. How cheap this is, if there is free alternative with same quality, people will flock.
UA-cam is so valuable to me, that I pay for UA-cam premium so I dont have to cheat by blocking Ads, and the creators get a small cut of my subscription.
@@naydeepolanco1603me too! UA-cam premium all the way
It's worth every penny@@naydeepolanco1603
I watch more CNBC on UA-cam than I ever did on cable.
Tbh I didn't know CNBC was on cable.
Me too
@@nucleardog6675to be honest it may not have been cnbc and msnbc aren’t carried by many cable companies or were available only by request or more expensive cable tiers or as a news tier or bundle etc. UA-cam has the one benefit regulators won’t ever seem to let cable providers have…UA-cam has all sorts of content without being blocked into only watching this or only watching that or being arbitrarily blocked or paywalled. Cable is not allowed by law in the us in most jurisdictions to sell channels individually to viewers/customers or let customers pick what to watch, at best they can bundle types of content or separate content into basic and premium price tiers
It’s because 99% of cable content can be found on YT: Cartoons, All types of News, Docs, Movies, Interviews, Sitcoms, Classic tv shows, How-To’s, Stand ups specials, etc along with content creators who make content just for UA-cam etc.
So piracy is the reason?
You can rent and buy movies download movies. If they loss license to a show or movie you bought before license was lost you can still play them. I got some movies downloaded to play when the power is out so I have something to prevent me from losing my mind from boredom.
No you can't.
This is a fact and no, not all of the available content is piracy. Y'all just be wanting to be contrarians.
Dog YT all you want but you're RIGHT HERE ON IT CLOWNIN'! LOL! 🤡 🤡
Not really.
First UA-cam won.
Then, because that’s where young viewers are, cable content made sure it got in front of that audience.
I am increasingly spending 3-4 hours a day on YT- listening to Podcasts and Music. If Movie catalog is improved, Netflix will be history.
YT still needs to license Netflix's movies.
UA-cam has free movies now to watch and cheap movies to watch and now even free games to play
It’s already on its way. I’m regularly finding good free movies I can put on. Especially for throw backs
Using other streaming platforms require time. Sometimes, you spend so long trying to find something good to watch. When you finally find something, the content is at least 22 min long. On UA-cam, content duration ranges from seconds to hours. With UA-cam’s algorithm, it’s easy to find something to watch because there’s a video for almost every interest
UA-cam is by far my most used platform. I love being able to throw content up on the tv with a click of a button.
UA-cam Premium is the only subscription I have and I only got it this year. The thing that finally pushed me over the edge was the number and length of ads that are in lengthy videos now. I looked at my professional hourly rate, compared it against how much of my watch time was going to ads, and if it number was greater than they yearly subscription, the math just makes sense.
I should share my little hack which I found accidentally by having a VPN. You just need to make the right choice. And voila, no Google ads at any point all without having to pay for premium.
@@stephen-wahl I had Brave browser for a number of years but UA-cam would keep updating their third party blocking software, you have to install these programs on every device to get the benefits and it’s not compatible with all devices. Those became too annoying to maintain.
@@stephen-wahl shhhhh
youtube revanced free
I don’t think many people watch enough ads for that.
Premium views are worth a lot more than ad views to creators but that’s not a bad thing. They make more money from premium users, we get honestly a better experience and then bundled with UA-cam music, premium is the only subscription I’m happy to pay. Definitely worth it.
How did the maths work out for you? I use the music app, watch UA-cam in replace of normal tv and then leave it on all day for my cat while I’m at work so you could be right. Just curious to know, because either way I’m definitely getting the most out of my subscription.
UA-cam creators have what most of the cable channels and streaming services have lost. They have a value proposition and a brand identity. It's a much more enjoyable experience to watch.
Families that watch TV in the living room are also on the decline. Nowadays, everyone is single and living in a rented room with Ikea furniture.
Streaming services need more "click subscribe" ,"click on the bell", "our sponsor is" and "my Patreon channel/discord is" to compete.
UA-cam is great. I can watch documentaries for free.
Dozens of commercials isn't free.
@@PB-or2fd sometimes unskippable too
@@PB-or2fd youtube premium. Gets you youtube music and video content without ads. Best bang for your buck
@@PB-or2fd lmao oh noooo 15 second break....oh nooo the horror!!! "iTs tHe liBeRaLs fAuLt" - you, probably, when life doesnt go ur way
@@PB-or2fdJokes on you. I like watching the ads.
UA-cam does what the other major platforms don't... They invite everyone to create content. UA-cam now has creators producing content that is just as high in production value as traditional media. The only people surprised by this are people who never explored UA-cam, regardless of generation... My step-dad, who's a "Boomer," loves UA-cam!
UA-cam has substance, quality, and personality. Netflix lacks personality. Disney+ doesn't have tech reviews. Hulu lacks skippable ads. Paramount Plus has limited content. HBO doesn't have enough compelling shows to justify paying all year. UA-cam Premium is the only service I'm happy to pay for separately from a cellular bundle, because UA-cam Premium just makes my favorite platform even better by removing ads and throwing in UA-cam Music Premium as a bonus.
i use ad block and i never paid for youtube premium.. maybe if your using it on the tv, and other devices it can get annoying to have to install, but i use adblock on my ipad pro and my phone and my computer which im typing from.
@@ProPandaPlays I hear this all the time from people who don't use a TV for UA-cam... There is no AdBlock or UBlock on a TV. I don't want to watch UA-cam on my computer, I want to watch it on a device meant for video, not gaming or productivity. I comment through my phone, but I mostly watch on my TV. My computer desk is for gaming and work. My couch is for watching videos and relaxing.
@@CynicalDriverYeah me too. I have no time for those blockers. In fact, I love seeing content creators that seem to have them while they're streaming and then of course ads pop up in their browser and they're doing multiple things trying to block them again. It's kind of ridiculous. And not useful if you're watching on your TV through the UA-cam app anyways.
However, I found a workaround hack just by accident. You just need to have a VPN and you can watch it without ads and without paying for premium.
@@CynicalDriver I know just wanted to share
Yes, now here's the task for you. Find all this "high in production value" without some kind of aid.
When I tell people I watch UA-cam & not TV, I mean it
Not sure why Disney was mentioned, they are actively trying to destroy their streaming.
Once YT allowed me to be on my phone with the smaller YT video window IT WAS ALLLLLLLL OVER. On it all the time I love it. Court cases on it yessss. The people who cover events in a genuine fashion, I LOBW them.
Yeah it’s probably really almost entirely about the outsourcing of content creation.
A result is that every type of niche content that there turns out to be a market for gets put on UA-cam without Alphabet having to develop that content.
I really don’t see how a Netflix type business model could compete with that
Picture in Picture strikes again!
Having it on our tvs browsing thru a remote was a game changer. I pay my You Tube premium fees with a smile! Totally worth it
I am 37 y.o. and I have never subscribed to any streaming and I have never understood why people spend their money for streaming when there is youtube. It is free and never ending. Here is so much content. I have a long watchlist on youtube, I don't have enough time to watch everything why would I have any paid streaming in addition to youtube?..
Advertising still gets people to pay.
They get a large subculture to talk nonstop about baby yoda and a few more people subscribe to Disney plus then forget to unsubscribe
Is this a real comment? It’s not a big mystery. There is plenty of content not available on UA-cam. Duh.
@@BlownMacTruck ya....if youre stuck in the early 2000s
@@CosmicHarmony58Where can I watch Severance on UA-cam? Or Dune Part 2? Or anything with Dolby Vision and Atmos?
Movies, duh.
When I’m on Netflix sometimes I get sad that there’s no comments on the videos 😂
If CNBC didn’t have this channel, I would never see anything by you guys. The reach is huge.
It isn't Snapchat, TikTok, Facebook or Instagram that's solid for viewers and creators; it's UA-cam
I LOVE UA-cam!!! Smaller creators make content that’s more relevant to my interests
And some of the smaller creators and documentary and tv show makers make very high quality or production value content, some of it is comparable or better quality to cable tv shows I grew up seeing, and better then the quality of shows some of those same cable channels put out in the past twenty years. Some of these small UA-cam channels are basically cable channels or even small scale production houses/companies
So I'm 38 and noticed this trend happening in 2015 when I first cut the cord. Getting UA-cam on my tv was a big game changer and these days I'm watching more and more UA-cam content and less live sports or streaming services. I like the fact that I can reach out to my favorite content creators and feel like I'm a part of an online community.
no one engages viewers in videos like YT.
Been watching YT consistently since 2007. The one thing they forgot to add here that differentiates it (and is the original reason I picked it 17 yrs ago) is because of the COMMENTS SECTION here. There is an instant social and communal aspect to the exact vid you and others just watched. TV and other streaming services simply don't have it. Very ignorant of them not to!
@@GengoSenmon audience interaction, yes.
“how do i fix that water leak? let me go on netflix.” said no one ever!
I think the youtube will always have an edge over other streaming services as youtube is not only for entertainment its also for education, as a life long self learner myself thats the value youtube provides me over other streaming services. I cannot go on netflix and search how to solve a rubiks cube or learn about calculus on other streaming services. UA-cam being such a versatile service always will keep it ahead of its peers. But at the same time I think comparing youtube to other services is kind of apple and oranges comparisions in terms of viewing number and other metrics....
Great point. Been watching YT consistently since 2007. The one thing they forgot to add here that also differentiates it (and is the original reason I picked it 17 yrs ago) is because of the COMMENTS SECTION. There is an instant social and communal aspect to the exact vid you and others just watched. TV and other streaming services simply don't have it. Very ignorant of them not to!
Hollywood and the media are no longer in charge of who can be seen, what we watch, and who we watch. There are very talented and creative people that would have never been seen in the age before UA-cam because of some casting director's opinion or bias!
Yep. Not so many gatekeepers anymore.
I'm 58 and most of my viewing is on UA-cam, the rest is on Amazon Prime Video.
same for YT, I am also in my 50s.
You can also pirate
Agreed, we benefit from Amazon Prime’s streaming because we would choose the prime delivery model no matter what. We choose the YT Premium because multiple people in my immediate household utilize it.
I'm a late bloomer in things and UA-cam is no exception. I really regularly started watching UA-cam back in 2017 really. I watch UA-cam like it's a regular normal TV network. They didn't lie of UA-cam being heavily watched. I watch UA-cam on my 50+ inch flat panel tv and am subscribed to many different channels, mostly vloggers of different kinds, remix music (R&B and such), etc. Who would have thought I would be watching driving videos of different US cities and countries where the driver is casually driving through, say, Beverly Hills, Texas or other parts of the country or the world while videoing the drive! Besides reality TV which I watch on Comcast cable on the corresponding network, hence, BRAVO, I'm watching UA-cam. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, you can find on UA-cam from health, to death (process), capturing spirits (ghosts) to learning how to replace your vehicle brakes. I watch food vloggers, car detailing vloggers to real estate showcasing vloggers and more.😊
I never watch CNBC on cable TV, However I love these types of videos from them, and watch all the time.
I dont see these companies competing in this space. UA-cam has built a reputation and brand recognition that is largely impossible to emulate today and we can see that with alot of these alternate platforms that fails in a year.
Vimeo is still going strong.
I've been watching UA-cam videos on my big TV since 2015 and I'm an Gen-Xer. 😂
I literally just fixed my PC that was annoying me for days by watching a 5 minute video on UA-cam. This is how amazing this platform is.
Older people are finally discovering all the amazing original content on UA-cam, along with all the mainstream stuff. If there is some niche topic, chances are there are some videos about it on UA-cam. Also, music! IMHO, its music algo is far, far better than Spotify's, especially for certain non-pop genres.
UA-cam is the only social media I use everyday. It's got everything, movies, news, documentaries, vlogs, travel, etc. I love it, very easy to use, just type in the topics you like and it comes up with a lot of choices. Excellent app!!
Its the simplicity and originality that is driving the UA-cam platform.
UA-cam has a mechanism to know the audience pulse through comments and this also connects the audience between each other.
This feature doesn't exist in any other online streaming services to my knowledge.
The content creators evolve based on the feedback from its viewers to provide better content.
I don't own a television so digital content available online is my only source of entertainment. Over the years I've followed quite a few brilliant content providers and am discovering new ones almost every day. I'm happy to pay a subscription fee to avoid commercials. It really is the best entertainment value for available.
I'm watching CNBC on UA-cam from the Netherlands. 😊
The unspoken secret of UA-cam is short videos. Viewers are reluctant to commit an hour of their time to a show...with UA-cam, you choose how much time you commit to it
We're using UA-cam right now 😂 to see UA-cam is winning
UA-cam is much more interactive compare to traditional streaming and has much more diverse content, so it is no surprise it is dominating. Shorter videos also mean it is less of commitment for people to watch than traditional “episodes.” But google has been getting more and more greedy with the ads. It’s ridiculous to have to sit through a 30-second ad just for a 1-minute video. Hopefully there will be some kind of competition/alternative to UA-cam in the future to keep them on their toes.
If Netflix launches an ad model with 4-5 ads of 1 minute each in the 40 minute episode, I would gladly watch that.
The science and technology shows I used to watch on cable have equivalents on UA-cam now, and their production values are nearly as high. I watch so much UA-cam I subscribe so my programs aren’t interrupted by ads.
This report is wild! I gotta check UA-cam out someday!
UA-cam us amazing ❤
It's not just clips from other "traditional" media. Some channels simulcast on UA-cam 24/7. Particularly news channels, but also "foreign" channels streaming on UA-cam to their diaspora worldwide. I regularly watch Turkish volleyball on TRT Sport, live or on demand, on UA-cam here in Australia. And with a VPN I can watch many other channels and networks that are geoblocked. Broadcast TV is so rarely watched in my house.
UA-cam wins
I just joined your VIP group, and I'm already seeing some amazing results. Thank you for all the incredible resources and guidance you provide!
I easily consume more UA-cam than any streaming or traditional cable channels. As I am watching content I want or learning something new, like French. Old school cable did this, like Travel Channel, but its weird ghost shows. So now I will watch regular creators creating there own travel shows, like No Ordinary Adventures, which is far more appealing and it's minimal commercials.
However, I'm starting to notice more longer or unskippable commercials. Which of course makes you want to purchase the pay platform.
UA-cam actually listens to thier users. It’s beyond frustrating that Netflix or other streaming services have too much encryption. If I pay for your service I should be able to watch it on ANY device. I can mirror UA-cam to any TV or monitor with a single button. Netflix’s needs me to only watch thier content on devices they approve
UA-cam can't hold a candle to narrative works on streamers, but it has vast small production educational, informational and UA-camr (idk what else to call the genre) library and the only overhead is data storage.
UA-cam needs to improve its tv app. I really miss speed controls on tv app. Watching this on tv.
The thing I miss is actually the serialized storytelling on UA-cam. Things like The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, or Video Game High School. UA-cam creator-led videos are largely related to reality tv, talk shows, edutainment shows, news stories, etc. But the long format storytellers are still on premium streaming
Critical Role and Dimension 20 scratches that itch for me, but I do miss scripted storytelling, too. Frankenstein MD, Carmilla, and of course LBD were what really got me into UA-cam and introduced me to a lot of creators like the vlogbrothers that I still watch today.
I haven't had cable TV since 2009. And a big part of that was UA-cam. Another reason is that the Daily Show, Colbert Report, and a lot of other shows streamed on their website. Like Aqua Teen Hunger Force. I used to watch movies, but not anymore.
Been watching UA-cam since 2006 I haven’t watched traditional news media and many years. Although I did watch a few episodes of NBC’s nightly news, but that’s national news and at least they released a full episode versus clips like other competing news networks.
I’m surprised that the bigger networks haven’t made some arrangement with UA-cam to broadcast directly to their UA-cam channel. Clearly sports needs to do this. Make a 90% arrangement or they take 90% of the revenue and give UA-cam 10% but they have 24 seven content it would seem like a no-brainer but they don’t do it.
I love UA-cam because there’s so much knowledge within it and the content is just incomparable!
In the first place I value UA-cam for the vlogs with under 100k subscriptions, they present the most interesting and natural content.
UA-cam takes up about 95% of the streaming that I do. I have eliminated Disney+, Netflix, AppleTV+, and Hulu. I have Paramount+ because my wife gets it as a perk from her WalMart+ subscription. Amazon Prime Video comes with a subscription to Amazon. The streaming companies don't offer anything of interest outside of new Star Trek from Paramount+. I find my ADHD brain loves the 8-15 minute video format found on UA-cam. I can go from videos on space exploration to politics, travel, cars, Sci-Fi, etc., for hours at a time. I don't think I could live without UA-cam.
People are sick of celebrities We just want to see user created content from regular folks
Would’ve love to have heard about how YT premium is going. Great video!
I love UA-cam. It replicates the social experience and excitement of Cable TV with the on-demand content of Streaming. Since anybody with a computer ( or even just a phone!) there is a huge amount of variety. The recomdiaton algorithm is amazing, and gives me so many new channels to watch every day.
UA-cam is amazing and free. The others i COULD CARE LESS
I love that you find so many how tos that work! 👏
I discovered UA-cam after I bought my big Computer with 22-inch screen and loved UA-cam
that is all I watch.
UA-cam have everything just for price of internet access I love UA-cam.
I was a Netflix subscriber, but UA-cam is so much better, so I unsubscribed from Netflix.
It was around year 2012 when I learned about UA-cam. I even cancel cable. So, thank you for all the people who put UA-cam on the internet love it and thanks CNBC for the video.
Half of these UA-cam video usage on television are just baby shark and cocomelon on repeat
Get the Honda passport you can’t go wrong with it. Great for the winter
Much of my knowledge I have gathered throughout my life, I owe it to UA-cam
CNBC thank you and please continue to put out these type of videos! Love your content but I really only ever watch your things on youtube lol
When you think about it, this would be like, back in the 80s-90s, public access television having higher viewership than abc, cbs, nbc, fox, etc.
relatable content that's why I watched. There is no corporate goon teeling a creator their ideas, smart ideas, are bad. The rough around the edges type of content. Stuff like Pewdiepie when he was genuinely goofing off not the goofing off that you get on a Disney sitcom. It's first take type content.
I will always pay for UA-cam premium. It’s so much more valuable than any other streaming platform. I can get a workout in, get product reviews, main stream news, pop culture news, food recipes and entertainment all on one site. I got rid of Netflix & Hulu years ago. The ONLY time I will temporarily get Netflix, Hulu or HBO is if there is a documentary that I can’t get on yt. And even then I’ll only watch that 1 show and then cancel my subscription immediately after.
I just cancelled Netflix after 12-13 years. Now, I am gonna axe STARZ and Apple TV too. UA-cam is just enough for me and is free.
Not really free with the tons of ads. LOL
@@enadegheeghaghe6369 Ever heard of ad block? lol
Love UA-cam, I wouldn’t be able to make the content I make now if it wasn’t for UA-cam 💪🏽💯
Only streaming service i pay for is UA-cam. How do I replace an alternator? YT. What is the deal with that new show on Netflix? YT. Music videos? Karaoke? Recordings of live streams. News. Travel. Public announcements. Obscure, old, neglected TV shows and movies. Comedy. Stand up. Sketch. Reality. Prank. Talk. Virtually any hobby. Amient noise. Academic. Video essays. The versatility is a big strength.
The interface on UA-cam TV is great
i watch nothing but youtube. anything else gets the pirate hat
Love youtube. On it everyday
This kind of explainer / deep dive video is my thing on youtube.
makes sense...its my number one goto for educational videos....
The formula is pretty simple. Give creators full access to your platform, provide great creator tools, enable creators to monetize their content, provide a totally free tier, and watch the magic happen.
The very obvious difference for consumers is that all UA-cam content is free, and choice of content types is very broad, while other services are expensive, and choice is very limited. Few can afford to pay multiple subscriptions to access their favorite content, which is distributed over too many services. Customers must pay extra for platform exclusivity, which serves only the financial interests of the platforms.
Over the past 15 years or so I and most of my family spend probably 10 times the amount of time on UA-cam compared to anything else. We have had Premium since the day it launched. We also have UA-cam TV now as well which is what my wife watches so I guess the entire family is now watching YT most of the time...
I easily spend more time on UA-cam every day than anywhere else. At night I'll binge some show on Hulu, Netflix etc but during the day it's nonstop UA-cam for me. Paying for premium access is a no-brainer. I get most of my news from YT!
20 years ago I had a cable subscription, a Netflix subscription, and watched UA-cam sparingly. Today I watch UA-cam 99% of the time.
YT is miles ahead of everyone.
YT is the reason behind many scholars, graduates, chefs, musicians, and just about anything you can learn on YT. And it's unparalleled knowledge terms of tutorials
There's a big part of youtube that fuels from other media. A lot of content of people talking about the latest movie, or series or videogame,.. even with the news. all those things compete with our time but if we engage in other platforms we end up consuming related content on youtube as well
I pay for Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Max and UA-cam for my household. I ONLY watch UA-cam. It's so entertaining, informative and brief! I have NO attention span.
It’s still insane that you can access a service like UA-cam free of cost, discover, and tailor your feed as you like. And the fact that it has remained profitable, and immensely scalable. Quite the flash in the pan, imo.
wth it’s Britany Broski hahahahaxD good to see ya girl

I'm surprised y'all didn't talk about Ludwig and his Chess Boxing event he live steamed on UA-cam. It was as high quality as anything you'll see on TV. Or Ludwig's $1mill Texas holdem event with mrbeast and that famous poker player. It was way better than any world series of poker on TV. In general, the content pipeline of live stream to VoD makes UA-cam even more competitive. Also, y'all didn't talk about buying/renting movies and TV on UA-cam. I bought every episode of IASIP on UA-cam even though it's on Hulu, just because it used to be on Netflix and I watch it so often that I don't want to have to get a new service when Hulu loses it's license.
Also y'all didn't talk about Dropout and it's Game Changer show(and specifically how you have to become a dropout member and pay $4/month directly to Dropout to watch it). It's the millennial version of Who's line is it anyways. If a studio created a UA-cam channel and released weekly episodes, people could pay them directly. Basically, exclusives are the only reason I still use Netflix.
I ditched my TV in 1999 and never looked back.
I'm watching this on my TV now. I almost exclusively watch UA-cam on my TV. Sometimes I'm not in the mood for an hour long show on any of my other streaming apps.
The algorithm + free content is what makes UA-cam the winner..
Keep your consumers close, but your competitors closer.
UA-cam’s underlying technology allows viewers to browse and view an almost infinite variety of videos, while still being given relevant recommendations.
UA-cam is almost impossible to compete with it has so much interest specific content. People don’t really care. It’s not high-quality because the topic interest them and that’s the most important factor.
