Super fun car ! Love the clips of the cluster on the street pulls ! No hiccups and sounds super linear ! Good stuff man! Thanks for the trust and support !!
Absolutely, will be hitting you up for the b16 soon too!
@@GarageBuiltHondas heck yeah ! Looking forward to it man!
Yea those blowers will make it like that
Man! That shop was beautiful. The hatch sounds great, Jon! You are the EF master. You know not to overpower them. Just get 150-200hp and have fun.
Thanks man, I just really enjoy these cars and I'm not power hungry.n 😁
It looks like a pretty fun little hatch with that supercharger, love the sounds it makes!
Another great video! Love the behind the scenes tuning and street pulls!
It seems conservative but still really quick. crazy to see what 152hp looks like in smaller/ lighter cars. it doesn't seem like much but those 0-60 times were impressive.
That's a sweet little hotrod! Moves pretty great for 3 PSI! D Series are slept on for sure. Those Fleabay exhausts are great for the piping for super cheap and toss the muffler, lol.
Very impressive for only 3psi! Especially on a mustang dyno. Looks like it rips! And even better is that reliability wont be compromised one bit.
I'll be honest. D15B2 with a 5spd fel zippy already in my ED lol. 150 in the car would feel like a rocket. I get it's not 3-500 but in an EF it's about the drive.
You know what's up man! 🙏
Driving a slower car fast is always fun!!!
@@2_2_4_3 oh hell yeah the spirit of driving
You figure the base turbo model 10th gen civic is 170 crank HP. The EF with 150 wheel HP must feel super quick and fun to drive. I do believe the base fc is 160 trq however. Either way I bet the EF is more fun..
*_These supercharged civics are such unique builds! I plan to supercharge my eK as well. It has a d16 in it as well._* 🔥 super awesome
It's a lot of fun if you can find a charger. Pretty simple and a nice bump in HP.
Yeah like he said not big power but consistent power for track. You need the durability when doing 20min of straight beating. Can't wait to see it on track 👍
Can't wait to see the numbers 🔥🔥
Heck yeah! That’s sweet. Great progress
Sounds like she's running strong. Can't wait for more.
Thanks, more content on this car soon!
Thanks for talking about supercharged D16 vs B16. Great video!
You'll see a video of it soon!

Im at the hospital about to have my daughter born trying to get inspiration to get my 90s ef lx civic on the road. No spark and no gas. I got a new distributor and main relay and still. Love the videos keep up the good content....

My 3rd. Finding the 4door ef is the only way i can keep the dream alive.
When got it what intrigued me the most power mirrors locks and windows. My 1st car was a red 89 si hatch. I just can wait to ride out with my kids.
Have fun man, hope you get.to enjoy it!
Defintely fun on the corners
sheesh thats pretty quick, launches well too
Pretty cool to see it coming together! You should put a lil upgraded piston/rod block together so you can gradually turn it up some more without worries
I really want to. I have an extra head already. Would like to find a cheap block and go from there.
My made civic 157hp ,124TQ, with z6 engine but 91 SI piston shaved block and head Zex springs stock cams on 91 octane tuned conservatively by Chad Barber it was hard to keep IAT in check. but still had another 15-20 with more timing in it but playing it safe it is what it is only 91 octane in the Bay Area.
Supercharger sounds amazing 🤩
That's got to be a blast to drive!
Miss El Paso so much.. Loved the video brodie.
It misses you too. 🙏
Impressive, looks like a fun little driver.

It sounds awesome. 🔥
That supercharger sounds good!
Dude new to your ch, but dang ef family heaven You got there. Are those all of your car
Thanks for visiting! Yes, sadly they are. Lol. It gets tough trying to mess with them all.
This is awesome and I love your channel. I used your videos to complete my first Honda swap. It’s a Tahitian Teal EF like yours. When are you getting new stickers back in?
Awesome! Hopefully someday soon again!

Salute to the best!
Love the head lights 👌🔥🔥🔥

Thanks! So do we!
Makes me i miss my 91 ef hatch jdm d15b turbo 10psi especially doing freeway runs 3rd gear would hit like 98mph and 4th gear would be around 125-130mph never topped it out in 4th and rarely ever raced in 5th gear but the car was fun for wat it was
@Jay'sWorld!🤪 how is that cap no shit i the ecu was chipped u wouldnt be able to rev it high for long periods of time beacuse of running lean on turbo setups thats basic common sense plus turbos work better on higher rpms and yes my shit did hit around 98mph on 3rd gear i had the single zc tranny short gears but it ran good ass fuck for what it was plus i was on 10lbs of boost
Damn, 100 mph, mad nuts
I remember seeing Jackson Racing stuff is super street and Tuner mag when i was a kid, i completely forgor about them
The charger make it sounds like and electric car awesome 👌
with the numbers it sounds about fair with a B18C1 from a GSR, the GSR may have abit more HP but knowing the weight on this thing it should keep up well!
It was a quick little car. I took it to the track 3 times and it was a lot of fun! ua-cam.com/video/hafkgoqUJI0/v-deo.html
What do you think a built D16 would pump out with the JRSC?
Super single soundz nice, ggz
You are a god, Jon.
Thanks man!
@@GarageBuiltHondas ✌️💯
You're giving me ideas for my white CRX haha
Do it, you'll love it. It's fun
Are the RC Fuel injector bottom with seal fits perfectly in the IM of the JRSC ? I saw some issues on the web.
I don't remember them having an issue. I bought the car with the injectors and charger on already. I'll try to remember and look at it. I have the swap tucked away in the garage.
Stock b18c1 might be a good match too especially when you consider how light this car is
True
If you ever want to sell that Dseries JRSC. I'll buy it. Currently restoring a 93 Si Hatch to OEM+ spec. Would love to add this to it
👍
Time to line em up!
Yup!
Nice something new to see but it would be cheaper just to do a full gsr swap n more reliable just my thought but great video
Depends on the situation. I paid $1000 for the entire car. That's way cheaper than a GSR swap. ua-cam.com/video/h_ongF69rfY/v-deo.html
Been searching for a B series 1505 SC.. of course to no avail. 😄
They are tough to find these days.
It’s a little ripper! EF’s are just awesome, pity they’re so rare (here at least, I haven’t seen a regular EF, much less a SiR/2 for quite a long time) now. Did the USA get the DA6 Integra xsi?
We didn't. Just the b18 DA's
Supercharger sounds so cool. It doesn't add a lot of hp eh. I guess its almost as fast as a stock B16A. But that supercharger sound is just so cool.
It's solid for what this is. A Y7 engine makes 106hp. A Y8 makes 127. On a dyno that'd probably be like 105-110 tops I'd guess. The charger on 3 lbs added a good amount. I was surprised and it's fun. Going to take on some b16's and b18's soon.
@@GarageBuiltHondas It is pretty decent for what it is. Superchargers do have consistent power. I always wondered how much hp a supercharged d series would put out. Its quite pricey for the kits that are available. Would be cool to see how this does against the b16's and b18's.
You'll see soon. 😎
Must be a cool feeling accelerating in a ef civic mines stock carby slow 😂
Saving up for one for my r18a1 ;)
👍
Kick ass💥
I think a B16 car would be close and would depend on driver and overall weight. My B16 put down 147hp with AEM short intake, DC 4-1 header, 2.25 Greddy EVO cat back, and a chipped P28 tuned on crome.
I can't wait to race a couple buddies, I think it'll be fun!!
Would be fun to see!
Would love to rip that thing on some curvey roads super dope setup!
Is there a supercharger kit for a d15? I'm planning on building a special car with a 90s honda motor, and happened to get my hands on a running d15 (which needs to be rebuilt) for free. I'm considering a hot turbo, or a supercharger because I want as fast a spool time as possible, to come out of corners, and I dont need as much top end power. I assume I can always cobble together a turbo setup, but I feel like superchargers are a but more specific to mount, so if theres a decent kit for one I'd be hyped to find it, thanks!
This kit does fit the D series engine. It's a lot of fun, harder to find but still available.
Turn that blower up man I can't believe it's only got 3psi I got a m45 on my neon running a steady 8 pounds off the rip
It's the pulley that came on it when I bought the car.
The transmission makes a huge difference. Certain dx 5 speed transmissions are close to the si ef trans. I disagree with b16 swaps not hanging with this car ive had a bunch of them and with some type r cams and a good header 150+is easy to make. B16 reving to 8,500 with a 4.4 final drive has a huge advantage over a single cam. The 3rd to 4rth gear pull was pretty slow
What motor? Y8?
Thing is scootin for sure
I love best up lookin- bad ass efs.
🙏
B16 would be a good match for it. They put down around the same power but less restrictive on the top on. B20vtec, no chance that setup would keep up.
Challenge accepted. Lol
Man I wish there was still a good supercharging kit for the D series platform on the market!
I'm very surprised there isn't. It makes sense though. Far fewer people using D series these days.
@@GarageBuiltHondas Which is sad. They are stupid reliable and can hold pretty decent power. My stock one in the track car is wonderful!
Agree man. This charger is a lot of fun.
Kraftwerks has one
For D series??
6:45 Bro!!! your door!!! lol
it sounds so cool
👍
@@GarageBuiltHondas I looked up the prices of these superchargers and now I'm depressed
Lol. They are pricey
I like your enkei's... What size are they?
I'm thinking of getting some 16×7's for my cb7.
15x7, they look pretty good. Going to change then out soon though.
@@GarageBuiltHondas I have a set of RP01’s for my Crx. Really nice and light for a cheap set of enkei’s!
i want them headlights now for my ed3

I'm having the shittiest luck with my single cam supercharged d16a6. I put In new eagle rods, rings, bearings, and nippon pistons. It's misfiring and bogging out like crazy from 2k+ rpm. Cam and crank timing is spot on. Tps, distributor, and ugs are new. Any suggestions?! I would really appreciate the input!
Your tuner couldn't figure it out?
Jon, I installed the same Detroit Axel standard rack and I have a little play in the steering wheel. Does yours have the same? My suspension is entirely new (all bushings, tie rods, ball joints) so I know it’s in the rack. Just wondering if that is normal. Thanks!
You shouldn't have any. Check the u-joint and make sure it's tightened all the way
Well nuts. I even replaced the u-joint today with another known-good one. Still have play. I can see the input shaft turning slightly before having any movement in the tie-rods. I guess I will have to try another
Did you adjust the nut on the rack itself. That may help.
If you EVER decide to let this car go please reach out to me I would love to buy from you. Also I'm the guy that sent you the CRX license plate
👍
Do you know what the Supercharger came off of, and what I would need to do to it to slap it on?
I would love to do this to my lil z6 EH9.
They didn't come off anything stock. These were built specifically for different engines by Jackson Racing. They've long been discontinued but you can find them floating around still.
Solid power number for 3psi.
👍
What kind of front bumper is that and do you think it will fit an 1988 crx
Wagon. No.
Crx has a fuller piece integrated into the bumper.
If I was going to do a single cam the only single cam I would do is a f22 out of a a accord.
Sweet little super single.
👍🙏
I loved the Apexi World Sport II, on both D16a6 and B16a.
I have that on my R. It sounds great too!
where can i buy a jackson racing supercharger d16z6?
Just keep searching. You'll only find them used now.
what bumper is that? link where i could buy it
This is from an 88-91 Civic Wagon.
Stock d15b2 with supercharger? Would it work? What do you think about this?
It'd definitely work. It'd need to be converted to MPFI then OBD1 so you could use a chipped ecu for a proper tune.
what front bumper is that??? i like it
88-91 Civic wagon
Did you guys weigh this yet? Seeing this little EF get to 100 with ease is fun.
No. Probably 2150ish for lbs.
Sorry gotta ask but what tires are they and how do they do in rain they look wild lol
I'm not sure about rain but I don't think they're good for it. These are Federal RSRR.
Fun ol skool build! More boost???
Possibly! Maybe 6-7 lbs hopefully.
Been thinking of supercharging my ef with a d16.. aim is 250 to 300whp.
Do it, would be a lot of fun!
@@GarageBuiltHondas Already working towards it.. Buying the solid mounts next week. Then picking up a block and head next month. I have already did the suspension. Rev9 hyperstreet 2 coilovers, Megan racing front lowers, Skunk 2 uppers front, Innovation front traction bar, Skunk 2 alphas rear lowers, and god snow rear camber, with Kosei k1 rims. Now its getting everything for the motor and getting it done, then paint before putting the built motor in. Interior and areo. Then motor. I dont do drags i cayon carve. @@GarageBuiltHondas damn that's lucky lol
Big time!
Jon, have you ever done a turbo kit on any of your civics? I think you should homie.
I have, 2003. I had a 88 hatch sohc with the Greddy bolt on kit. I'd like to get there again. I'm so anal about all the small things like ball joints, bushings, bearings and having the car completely stout before going for more power. My mistake is always buying more cars instead of focusing on like 1-2.
@@GarageBuiltHondas I’m at 330hp with my single cam-- I have not done any events with my 88, but with boost by gear, you can really dial in your set up for road courses and events. I watch all of your content and I like how you do your builds...! I’m just surprised that after doing a turbo set up you’d want to do a supercharger... but, your turbo set up was long ago... there is tons of tech now for tuning turbo set ups that was just not there in 2003... I think you’d kill it with a proper budget turbo set up nowadays.
Love the channel buddy. Keep em comin🤘
It wasn't by choice. Was offered the hatch with the charger and engine already in there and only paid $1000. I just wanted to see if I could get it running well and just have fun with it. I've gotta say so far it's been really cool to get it to this point and that car is a blast to drive.

Right. Hell no I was going to pass that up!
what are your wheel & tire specs on those Enkei RPF1? I'm stuck on Kosei K1 & ENKEI RPF1!😵
15x7+41 205/50
@@GarageBuiltHondas I was looking at 15x8 ET +28mm... i don't know if that would be too agressive set up with an old school KVR Python 4 piston front caliper and DC2 rear brake set up on a Canadian 88' CRX Si... i do want tire width for mechanical grip and not just for esthetics.
With some camber and rolled fenders it might work.
@@GarageBuiltHondas Fenders are rolled, camber is OEM. i would need a camber kit... safest thing would be to run a set up like you.
Are you tracking the car?
Superchargers for Hondas are hard to come by. I'm going to be building myself a centrifugal style supercharger out of an old turbo I have laying around. I think it will perform better than a traditional supercharger. Won't sound as cool though.
The sound is what makes it the best! Lol
stock enjin n ecu.?
Yes, but a s300
Whats going ? I dont understand why it took 4rth gear to reach 100 and the rpm is getting to 7?
Compare to my d15 3 stage dual vtec 3 gear i can reach 100 smooth. Im new in honda world i buy the car totally bad in exterior the km is 300,000km
Probably a different transmission than what I'm using.
