0:35 -- Actually, the episode 1x02 and this episode don't have exactly same title, at least not in Japanese. The episode 1x02 is called "sono hi", while this episode is called "ano hi". Both titles can be translated to English as "that day", but "ano" indicates a higher degree of distance than "sono". I think that in some translations of the original manga, the chapter title "sono hi" was translated as "that day" and "ano hi" as "on that day", presumably for no other reason than to differentiate it from "that day". (Of course, since the chapter 1x02 also had that subtitle added, this helped in differentiating the two titles in the English translation in the anime.)

@@lxos Subjects of Ymir are only ones can do it, Eldia is a civilization but all started with one kid which is Ymir 👍 from there the Kids of Ymir made bigger the Eldian Empire
@@lxos if you read the manga, you will find that you don’t exactly have to be a direct descendant of Ymir.
@@jakinchan3432 I did.
I can't wait for next theory in next ep ... It's will be fun. I love your guys discussion so much.
you guys are amazing for remember the comrades as titans !!
I was waiting for this for so long :P This is where we turn a new page in the show! :)
You're not alone in needing to rewatch this to make sense of the huge information dump here. Great reaction guys.
By the way, just a few days ago on an interview when the last volume of the manga was released, the author Isayama basically confirmed one of his inspirations for this show was "the village" movie by Shyamalan. Not gonna spoil the movie but yeah, he obviously found inspiration on a bunch of western media besides history.
Just finished watching. Ok so this isn't really a spoiler since it's just about aesthetics, but the Paradis/Marley world map? It's actually on our own world map. If I recall correctly, Paradis is Madagascar but upside down. That's not to say that AOT world is our world, just that they inverted the map and made their own world with it.
interesting. but of course they had to change sizes because there's no way the walls would actually fit on Madagascar with a diameter of 300m for the outer wall. The outer wall would basically be on the coast so if the scouts left the walls even a little they'd hit ocean.
@@fringehouse Oh yeah definitely. It's just an aesthetics thing.
@@fringehouse Madagascar is actually ~420 km wide from east to west and even more from north to south. So it could technically still be real-life size Madagascar
i guess the internet didn’t want to punch it with you guys
6 years is worth the wait. I didn’t expect this to be so big.
Reiner and Ymir knowing the salt water fish tin, the scouts having no idea what coffee is, Eren's confusion about what a monkey is- three huge hints that the Warriors come from a outside county that slip onset everybody's head the first time they watch the show.
adam’s outfits always go so hard
One of the best crew reaction guys keep it that way 💪💪
I don't know if they recognized but the titan's faces in pure titan form mimic the faces the people were making before they turned
Nobody expected this 16:03-16:51 😱😱😱
YOU GUYS ARE SMART WOW, I was watching the anime for years, I never guessed something right! that’s amazing😂🤍🤍
BEEN WAITING FOR THISSSSSS IM PUMPED
omg I can't believe we're finally here. this is one of my fav episodes of the series, so much to unpack and so very very worth it!
How do they now the cart titan's titan name? Is it mentioned somewhere during the retake of Shiganshina? Or did Adam tell them?
Both the Cart and Jaw names we had heard from commenters. Don’t worry. At this current time we assumed they were “fan given names like Berserk”.
@@WorkingTitleReacts Oh,lol,yeah,that make sense!
Good reaction,guys,have a nice day!
@@XxStrugglerxX you too!
Can you timestamp that? I don't remember them mentioned the names???
There are so many moments where they unintentionally guess future events, it's amazing
That guy Sam said he is not that smart in the previous episode lol
The same guy predicted pretty much most of the plot before the plot could even explain itself
You guys have some of the best discussions afterwards 🔥
These episodes a lot of reactors and people just glossed over or just didn't want to believe what the eldians did back in the day aka ( the dark ages ) and I'm sitting here like, but your really going to believe grisha when he doesn't even understand what he's reading or looking at 😂
Thank you guys for being so awesome. lol
Glad you've enjoyed it.
damn you guys are really smart, your theories and all, good stuff
when i first started watching attack on titan. i really did pay attention at all. tbh i was high for most of it. i watched this episode sober and was so overwhelmed but so intrigued to how this was attack on titan. so i rewatched it from the beginning just to understand it all
Idk if you guys were planning to or not, but I’d recommend NOT to watch the season 4 trailer. It obviously shows things that happen in szn 4 and I feel if you guys don’t watch it, your reactions to certain things will be even better. Just my thoughts
Never clicked on a video so quick in my life
Funny how he keeps guessing things correctly but when they ask him how he could’ve guessed it right he draws a blank! 😂🤣😂🤣
I just found your guys video reaction couple day ago then i subbed, i'm watching your reactions from season 1 untill this, im watching 4-5 videos every single day (Yeah i have much time coz this fckng pandemic). Let me say this to you guys, Thanks for ENTERTAINING me for the reactions.
Maybe some people asking "Why you enjoy some people reaction?"
my answer, Idk man.. it just im happy watching you guys enjoy the show then talking what happen, thats all.
Maybe im just weird, idk man. But, im still waiting for the next video and i hope itsn't gonna long.
KEEP HARD THE GOOD WORK GUYS!
*PS: Sorry for my bad english
Dude, honestly same here.
I enjoy this dudes reactions
Head's up: Paradis Island is pretty much just Madagascar (IRL) except SUPER-SIZED.
The map is basically one of Africa, except flipped upside down. Isayama (the Author) confirmed in an interview in 2017 that the world is supposed to be a mirror image of ours.
The Walls put together are about the size of Texas (approximately ) - The Diameter of Wall Maria is 960 km
These guys are master theory makers.
Sooo fun to watch, SEASON 4 WILL BLOW YOUR MINDS (AGAIN)
All of the Jaeger titans have pointy/elf ears. Zeke’s looks like Grisha’s purely because of similar genes, while Eren’s looks more like his actual Titan inheritance
The Eldian alphabet is just japanese katakana letters mirrored upside down, that's why people can read them
Dude in blue must be high or maybe just manic he’s everywhere though I love it❤️😂
12:53 -- Also, take a good look at the other toys Zeke is playing with beside the monkey.
the paying attention at 7:26 had me!🤣
You guys are so smart! I love you guys so frkn much!
FINALLY THIS IS MY ONE OF MY FAVORITE EPISODE ❤️❤️❤️
I am geniunly so excited for your reactions to S4 that if you decided to binge watch the fuck out of it and release like a 4 hour reaction video I would actually cancel everything and WATCH EVERY SECOND OF IT
"I already know what Eren's gonna do next season"
You damn right Will 🤣🤣 nothing relieving in what we got to know in this episode
I can’t wait for all of them to have fresh reactions to season 4!!!!!
Y’all I promise every question I have will be answered sooner or later… this show does not fail
If you guys are wondering if AOT takes place in our world, just take an image of the map, and turn it upside down ;)
and flip it
I so so beyond happy you had that nani moment about Dina
Nah bro theres millions of colossal titans inside the walls. I think I read somewhere that all the territory that is within the walls was like the size of France. So if 3 walls are circling such massive stretches of land, think about how many titans linking arms it would take to cover that distance.
The basement was so influential that it completely changed the shows genre
no one else can turn into titans, only the eldians
29:10 = Madagascar, in fact this island is madagascar and the continent is africa, but just flipped
the guy on the right is looted🔥
The guy realizing who is Dina Fritz LOL I'M SO DEAD
Ah from here it really is gonna feel like a different show. definitely the turning point of the whole series hope you guys enjoy the ride.
The best thing is that even in the first episode, you can see map of Marley etc. on those black panels during pauses. But nobody cared for it then and thought that this have no meaning.
Eldia is a early translation that just stuck in peoples minds. It´s clearly inspired by the german word "Erde" (earth) so a translator who knew his stuff would have used "Erdia".
Another case: Marley very very likely based of the italian word for sea, "mare".
The translation I read uses the word Mare instead of Marley, so yeah. Idk how it's spelled in Japanese, but there defintely is a connection
