- Lillie's KeenDog progression from 7 weeks to 19 weeks of age. We believe in a proactive approach to training and have developed a proven system to lay the fundamentals from the moment your new puppy or rescue dog comes home. With consistency, following through with our program, having fun with your training and constantly challenging your dog through furthering your obedience you will have the dog of your dreams!
We want everyone to have access to our training system so we have begun working on NEW PUPPY STARTER KITS and NEW DOG STARTER KITS that will soon be available via our website. These started boxes will be shipped right to your door and include some training essentials, along with a USB that continues training exercises to create your foundation. We will also be offering further videos for purchase on our website to continue to challenge your training. Everything we train to local Charlotte owners will soon be available nationwide. I wish you trained our pup, he’s been a little naughty and I don’t know what to do. This video shows me that positive reinforcement is the way to do it
Using all 4 quadrants of operant conditioning is the way to do it. Positive reinforcement first and foremost but a balanced approach is definitely the way to do it!

My families Golden Retriever pup will be arriving at our home in a week, This video has given me lots to try for training methods! As a former American Bulldog owner, I always found a little more "toughness" was needed while training! We are so looking forward to the journey with our new fur baby! AlexLouise going great!! He’s almost 11 weeks old. Sleeps through the night. Rarely has accidents. Biting like crazy but I will totally take that for a good nights sleep haha. He’s such a quick learner too! Hbu?
Jordyn Goree That’s great! Mine is almost 10 weeks and sleeps through the night (except for one potty break), working on accidents, but not many recently! She is a pretty quick learner to but not a fan of walks😂
AlexLouise oh my gosh same. If we walk to a different patch of grass to go potty he literally stops mid stride and sits. Haha. He’s like no thanks 😂

Check out Robert Cabral's videos. He does great and free info with puppies and all type of commands.
One more thing don't spade or nuder your golden till 2 years of age because hormones help them grow meaning it helps strengthen their hips reducing hip dysplasia also reduce cancer chances :) There was a research on it from a researcher that studied golden retrievers.

You can also do a partial of both so they still produce the hormones that they need, but can't procreate

We are looking to get another Golden puppy. Our last one, Annie was with us for 12 wonderful years, but very suddenly came down with a caugh and stomach issue which we found out was a tumor around her heart that started bleeding which put pressure on her heart causing poor circulation and reduced kidney function. We had to have her put down. So sad, but we do not want to be without a dog. Where did the puppy in this training video come from. Maybe we can discuss puppies with these folks. The one in the video reminds me of our Annie.

Im planning on getting a golden retriever how much time per day would recommend to train , as well once their training would recommend to put them back in their crate. What is that trick called when lilly stands in between your legs while her paws are on your feet?
Typically 3 short sessions (5-10 min) is good, as well as training as you live. Follow our newest series for detailed info. You can call it whatever you want, we call it feet.
Great video, but wanted to hear what the trainer was saying with Lily in the middle of video, not hear music.
Question : this is a clear display of how to train a puppy. But this is all in a controlled environment : how do you deal with meeting other dogs that are untrained (the majority where I live) or even humans who are untrained?

Be your dog's biggest advocate! Do not allow for random people and dogs to approach. Saying no is ok, and so is using your body to block them away.
my golden gets sooooo excited around people and my chihuahua who is 8 yo . I dont know how to calm her around my dog and my friends. can someone give me any tips about this ?
I won't be able to get my pupper till she's 8 weeks. 6 weeks she gets her first vaccine then like a week later. week 7 we can visit her :3 then there's a series of 3 more vaccines. :3 that'll be around April and may :)

we got our retriever at 12 weeks old by 16 weeks old she was house trained best dog i ever bought
we had her spade at approx 30 months old vet said wait so many weeks after she had been in season
downside is the dog hair but i say to people they are love fibres
our granddaughter was walking at 10 months old holding on to our dogs coat anywhere she could grasp hold of
now she is 12 years old and on james wellbeloved senior
mixed with a little meat
always make sure she has plenty of fresh water down

Use spacial pressure - step into their space vs away. And proper management to control this from happening

Teething?
Teething is often accompanied by biting from your puppy, it's very common. From what I've seen you can train them so they bite the toys instead of humans, and I think you can do this by buying a chew toy or something else to chew on and rewarding them by playing with them after.
@@fretz6253 I give my puppy that’s teething his toys when he starts to bite me but he bites the toy for two seconds and tries to go back to biting me and when I stand up to ignore him and I go back to playing he goes back to biting do u know of any other ways to reduce his biting prob
What reward do you suggest for a 5-6 weeks old puppy
That is a super young pup! Typically the youngest pups should come home is 8 weeks of age. We use dog food primarily as a training reward.

So sorry to hear that David, each dog is special thats for sure. Our Goldens have come from Seasons Gold, Carolina Gold, Tanglewood Golden Retrievers
