Great videos. Thank you!! I ordered the items and can't wait to install. I prefer the two step method. I am a little confused. In the first video the blue and green were removed from the switch and used in the keyless control. How do I tie back into the key switch for two step process?
I am putting into a club car precedent. I already have an available ground from the voltage dummy light. Can I use that instead of running a wire to battery?

I did something similar. I use the key fob switch and replaced the run tow switch as well as a 48v to 12v accessory voltage converter. It works as a secondary safety in addition to the key. With the key fob switch hidden, it makes the golf cart only sightly harder to steal.

I’m wondering if you can use either or to start the golf cart? Maybe hide the key switch somewhere so in case the fob goes bad or you lost a fob you can still start it with the key? It should work. Because all you are doing is bypassing the fob switch when using the ignition switch.

In regards to the keyfob, do you have any first hand experience of making the mistake of putting the keyfob in the pocket of your swim trunks, after you get out of the cart and then go to the swimming pool and jump in.
Is there any water resistance built into this keyfob?
I did this by accident on my Ford Escape SUV, and it worked fine after I left the keyfob out on the chair in the sun for about 30 minutes to dry out.
I like the two step approach to starting it
What gauge wire did you use to connect the wireless control switch to the ignition and battery?
Also, what gauge from the meter to ignition and meter to battery? I’m new to this and I don’t want to mess it up!

You talked about someone trying to steal the golf cart. Since it is open air and you really need to remove your personal items from the cart, so they dont get stolen.
This made me think that the bench seat does not lock.
I think I am more afraid that someone is going to open the seat and vandalize my cart.
I really feel like I want a relay connected to a electric door lock solenoid that moves a piece of angle iron in order to lock or unlock the rear seat.
I am thinking that I need a normally OPEN relay that will close when I turn the golf cart OFF either with the key or the key fob.
I dont know how much draw the door lock solenoid will draw from the battery, but I know that its going to drain the 12V battery somewhat every day.
Can the golf cart be plugged into the 110v to run the chargers 24/7?
Do the batteries develop any memory if I were to leave it on constantly for a week?
Should I use a digital timer on the wall that only allows electricity to flow for 6 hours every Monday night, like 12AM to 6AM?
Just thinking of new ways to expand on what you have already covered.

I've never worked on a rxv cart so therefore I cannot tell you.

I wired mine like this so it only works with the remotes and the key is dead and the meter tells me if I left the run or tow switch on which is perfect

So what happens when the battery in the remote goes out? Just incase I'm out away from the house and the remote/ battery fails. I love the idea, just need to know all my back ups. Appreciate the insight!
Good Question. You could always hide a bypass switch somewhere. There will always be what ifs with everything in life.

After two years. Does it still work? Does the output ground need to be hooked up?
This one lost connection last october. This cart now belongs to a neighbor. He replaced it with the same kind.
