Ryan, I have watched most of your videos. Very helpful and informative. I have a question for you about this remote setup. I would like to have a toggle switch on the dash of my cart that will energize my accessories (radio, lights, etc). Then with that switch engaged I would like to be able to hit the remote and that would give the cart the ability to drive. When the toggle switch is turned off the drivability is shut off. What is your thoughts on the best place to insert the controller? Thanks in advance for your help and keep these videos coming. I really enjoy learning from you.

My switch has 3 wires in the back. My switch also has an accessory option. How do I wire it?
I tried this on my Precedent and kept on popping the 15A fuse near the motor. I have tried a few different way but with no luck. Obviously doing something wrong.
Does the battery meter need all 3 wires to be dedicated? Ground has to go to battery pack ground and power to battery pack positive and key to key? I see there is ground and battery wires in the dash is why I ask or would it not read accurately?
Ryan, I'm not sure if you check comments on old videos, but it's worth a shot. The old key switch had 2 hots, one constant and one turned on by the key. It was grounded by a wire from the silinoid to the battery negative, "I believe." Because this wireless key switch has its own ground, can I eliminate the one from the silinoid to the battery negative?

So the key + of the battery meter ties into the Blue wire output of the key switch? We won’t use the old Orange and White stripe wire or the Black with White stripe wire that was used from the old meter? Just tape those off and follow your new connection methods?
I installed 1and it work for a week then we got rain and I'm guess it got wet so I order another and as soon as I hooked it up it burned out. Any help would be gratefully appreciated it. 2011 club car precedent...Ps I love the video they are very helpful.
Hooked this up to my 2001 ezgo it turns off every time I switch from forward to reverse.

Its not hard once you start and when you do one thing with wiring know its basically the exact same concept to hook everything up you want. Im poor sobi go cheap on everything and pick up tips from guys like this that seem to do it for a living. Sure wish this video came out 2 weeks ago lol just got a moped key installed so i have a different key. This would have been way cooler.
I just wired mine in, when I switch from forward to reverse it turns off and I have to press the on button again . Any idea why it would do this

Ok... Did the install and I thought every thing was ok. So I split the pos in and the pos out to the remote and the key switch I relocated in the glove compartment incase the remote stoped working, they both work fine. The problem is when I put the cart in reverse it kills the power. So any time I switch back and forth from reverse it cut out the power and I have to click it on again. Any ideas?

Mr Ryan, can one of these be installed into an RXV with the forward/reverse switch being on the ignition? That being said, could I install this and replace the key switch with a rocker style switch like a TXT PDS?

So on the three wires for the power indicator, when is ground one is 44 and the other one goes to the new Remote relay box? The Original switch is not powered so I can’t run it to that, is that correct?

Uh, what good is the battery meter if it just shows on and off? Shouldn't it show the battery level?
I didn’t understand about hooking up the battery meter. Are you supposed to hook that up to the old switch or the new remote switch?
I installed the meter to serve 2 different concerns. One battery meter and 2nd to show when the cart is on and off. The meter has 3 wires. Ground, 48v constant and 48v ignition. I used the ignition wire to turn the meter on when the cart was on and off when the cart was off.
Question: A friend hot wired and stole my golf cart. He came back and said he lost power halfway through the drive. The ignition doesn’t work but the battery is fine and has power. Does anyone know what’s wrong with it?
I am having some trouble with installing this. It works great when in forward but when I put the cart in reverse it loses all power. Any ideas on what I may have done wrong? I followed your same wiring and installed the battery meter as well. Thanks for the awesome videos!
I just put one in and having the same problem... I ran a splitter to that and my key starter that I relocated to the inside of a lockable glove compartment incase the remote stopped working. I thought that was the problem so I took the key part off but it still cuts off when going in and out of reverse. So I put the key back on " a good backup I thought"
I have the same problem. Any resolution? This is on a Yamaha TXT with Trojan batteries. Wonder if that makes a difference?

I sold this cart to my neighbor and he is using the switch still.
Why didn’t he show the wire connections? There 4 terminals on the module. Do I just run a jumper wire to both negative terminals and then run it to the ground or is only one needed? I understand he to wire the power wires for input output. Just need to know the ground wires
Both use the same ground. You can run the ground to the main battery ground.
@@Fentertainment thanks, I removed both key wires and put to the module and used the empty ground nearby that was for a meter I think in one of your other videos so I didn’t have to run any wires and now no one will step my cart since the key is dead. Thanks for the fast reply!!!

I assume this will work on a gas cart as well. And the battery gauge also?
Yeah it could turn the ignition on and off but you would still need a starter button and a 12v battery meter.
@@Fentertainment Thanks for getting back. When I step on the gas with the switch on it starts up so there must be something connected to the foot pedal that switches it on. It's a factory 2004 Yamaha.

Is this switch water proof or do I stash it in a dry place in the cart?
I would find a dry spot that is concealed.
Can you still use the key if you want if the remotes are lost or at home etc????
Just depends on how you wire it initially. There is a couple different ways to wire it but the way I wired it here they keys are no longer needed.

What if the battery in the remote goes out? How do you start the cart?
You could also add a hidden switch somewhere hard to find as a backup.
@Ralph Bell I ended up installing a similar remote igniting set up and have a jumper wire I keep on my cart that can override the ignition just incase. I love this set up. So stealthy!
