Wash Fishing The Mokohinau Islands - Perfect Softbaiting Conditions!

Every now and then everything aligns to create the "Perfect Day"
In a recent trip out to the Mokohinau Islands, the swell was big, strong tides and glassy calm seas making for perfect conditions to cast soft baits in the many wash areas this Island group has to offer in search for trophy snapper.
Luck would have it that on this day I was product testing some new soft bait gear for Shimano including the new 2023 Dialuna range of rods and the new 2023 Vanquish reel making this the perfect opportunity to put the new gear through its paces.
I am going to let the video show off the day and how stunning this group of Islands are.
Gear used on the day:
Shimano Dialuna S80MH rod paired with the 2023 Vanquish 4000 reel.
Shimano Dailuna B76M bait-caster rod paired with the Metanium 150HG reel.
Kairiki 20lb multi colour braid.
Ocea 20lb Fluorocarbon leader.
