Yeah awesome snapper bait but to many yellowtail and slimy mackerel there and they pick the flesh of it before it hits the bottom that's why I use brined pilchards nice and solid and heavy so you can get a unweighted bait down 👍

Floating pilchard in wash from the rocks is good for snapper mate depending on where u fish mite still get a few snags but that's part of rock fishing 👍
i must say that was very entertaining I'm in a wheelchair mate had a big op on my foot so i don't get out much metal detecting is my game

Never been in a 420 dory so wouldn't no what they are like off shore 4m is ok on a flat day depending on the boat too
