Would love to see the coins all cleaned up in a smaller pic during the dig if you can do that...There are other channels that do this but they spend WAAAAAY too much time admiring the found treasure and not digging...just a few quick shots of the cleaned up treasure as you show us the dug specimen would be awesome....one of the reasons I watch your videos..you show what you find then get back to it...we don't spend 5 minutes of you showing us something dirty and crusted we can not see..LOL Keep up the great work!!
Thanks! On my newly released videos I do the quick pictures on cleaned up good finds directly following the dig (less than 2 seconds per pic), and sometimes just a very short wrap up depending on what was found and if I need to mention anything. The older reposts get edited a little differently depending on the content. And from time to time I always try something different. But yeah, I know exactly what you mean, the 30 minute+ videos where you only see a few finds are really a drag. The videos I'll be putting the most effort into are the "JD's Big Adventure" series. So keep an eye out for those. :)

where have you been as far as metal detecting im working on a huge field the house is dated 1872 in Hickory NC found some great stuff . great video man
yes, silver quarters are getting harder and harder to find...i'm thinking the lots and ground in all cities and towns are being picked over. i'm find 10 to 15 silver dimes per every quarter, used to be about 3 to 4 when i first started. Used to be 4 to 5 wheats would get me a silver...now it's more like 25 wheats before i strike silver. i'm depleting the city i live near.

Yeah man, it's fun! You can get 10% off almost every detector KellyCo has on their website if you use my code "jdvariety" when you call in your order. It's a great arrangement I've been able to work out for my subscribers. :)
Depends on what you're looking to spend. The #1 beginner detector I recommend is the Fisher F22, it runs $229 and is great for the price. I wouldn't recommend anything cheaper as you will probably get a machine that doesn't work very well. One of my personal favorites is the Teknetics T2, which runs $499, and it's great for beginners or experts. That's the machine I currently use on the majority of my new videos. If you go to my UA-cam homepage and watch the recent uploads for the "JD's Big Adventure" series you'll see that machine a lot. :)
Nothing is more frustrating than to hear you say "only a wheat penny" or "only a Rosie" without hearing the date until later. Don't be selfish, tell date when, and where, you find it so we can know the spot it was found.
I’m always amazed at your enthusiasm even when you dig up trash, your really ready to get on with the next dig.
Hi JD! I found a 1911 Barber Half today. Still stoked about It! Great video you have here. A classic for years to come! Thank you!
That's amazing! Huge congrats! And thanks for the kind words. :)
I remember this one. Thanks for sharing it again.
That a lot of digs. My old body can't do that number in one day. Thanks for sharing...
I went back to this location at a later date and found another silver dime and silver ring that I had missed. It truly was an amazing spot!
JD's Variety Channel Great finds man :)
+Neil Stewart nothing
+Neil Stewart Around a buck on eBay.
***** About 5-10¢
Royce NY pendent. Google that and you will see many. One on ebay going for 19.00
JD, your really cleaning up. Looks like fun.
Great video, great finds.
Awesome find!!👍🏻
GREAT JOB JON
Nice finds man especially that 3-ringer
The pendent next to the swimming medal is a graduation medal made by the Royce company. I don't know what age, but I am sure it is graduation.
Nice finds Jon.
I really like the civil war bullet!
That 3-ringer bullet appears to be a union army bullet, probably dropped rather than fired, civil war era.
Great finds! Looks like you found a virgin spot!
Thanks Jeff! :)

not a .50 or .303, it's a .308
which is Vietnam or newer
U should invest in a gopro so u can use both hands
You are so smart!
I think the 1942 nickel is worth more than the silver one due to low mintage. Check it out. Good Finds!
where have you been as far as metal detecting im working on a huge field the house is dated 1872 in Hickory NC found some great stuff . great video man
The piece with holes in it is, i believe a hub cap from a toy truck.
Nice yard, nice video. Have you ever used a Delta 4000?
At 23:19, I think it is a pewter top that would have gone on a crystal tall vase and it was a hat pin holder.
Now I get it, hahaha!
Nice stuff, but I'm pretty sure that the shell casing isn't .50 cal.
looked more like a 303
That's what I'm thinking.

Accuracy Marked m
That shell casing next to the three ringer isn't a 50 cal. It's a 30-06 case.
Correct. This video is from quite a while back when I still didn't know much about shell casings. :)
Hey I'm just getting started with the whole metal detecting thing. Any suggestions on a good detector to start off with?
Read the comments on this video. I just answered this question tonight. :)

Ok thanks. Love your videos. Keep up the good work
Thanks. I plan on doing a gear video soon to help people getting into the hobby. :)
I found that same pendant...Royce, NY ...any info on it?
I think that pendant is a Coat of Arms McGregor Pendant
nice finds..................from early 2015?
Yeah, good call. ;-)
Toy truck wheel cover.
What do u use to clean coins
if that half penny is 1957 it has to be Queen El izabbeth II as she was crowned in 1953
what detector do you use?
I use a bunch of different ones. But mainly using the Teknetics T2 right now.
I need to get me a new detector and get back out there

LOVE YOUR VIDS, what do you mean by "rang up 1239"???
Michael C he's using a minelab machine maybe a ctx 3030 or lower they have weird numbers on them like my minelab xterra 505 only goes to 48
Can't you use a soft bristle toothbrush to clean your coins and other finds?
That's usually fine. Just not on silver coins as it will leave fine scratches. :)
1945 Q looks like an error on 5
Come to Michigan!
That is not a .50 cal casing. It's .30/06.
Go to 12:40 on this video to see another of the bracelets with the Indian design:

That 1957 Brit penny is Elizabeth II, she became Queen in 1953
